Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (Golden Village Suntec City)

ABBEY: Yey, twas the day I've been waiting for. I've heard and read a lot of reviews of the movie. Most of them are negative. Well for me, I just want to see my Superman fly and use his superpower against the villain. And this time its Batman. The scenes were all dimmed. Can we have other lighting effects? As usual Batman still cannot move on from the death of his parents. Also this Batman didn't apply his logic. He let his emotions be drowned by the teases of Lex Luthor. Since Superman was the one to be blamed for the alien attacks, he glued his conclusion that Superman is the enemy. Ayayay.

Jesse Eisenberg has the same way of acting; be it Batman v Superman, The Social Network, American Ultra. All the same. Be careful with that, you're Johnny Depp in the making. Stop that stuttering.

Gal Gadot as Wonderwoman is stunning. She has grand entrance on the climax of the movie. Can't wait for her own movie.

Movie rating : 7/10

WILL: I already earmarked the show date of Batman V Superman - Dawn of Justice since last year. Why? Superman is Abbey's favorite superhero. One week before the date, I booked at the newest cinema of Suntec City, the Golden Village.

I wish Batman is still played by Christian Bale, I wish for more action scenes, I wish that the 3-hour film is not a mess while explaining what is happening, I wish Batman and Superman is not portrayed stupidly in that movie.

My verdict? Do not waste your money.

Leningrad Symphony - Singapore Symphony Orchestra

ABBEY: I always love the sound of strings; violins, cello, double bass, and piano (some classified it as a stringed instrument). We became Friends of SSO (Singapore Symphony Orchestra). She received 2 complimentary tickets as a gift. We planned to attend The Leningrad Symphony of the husband-and-wife tandem of Gennady Rozhdestvensky (conductor) and Viktoria Postnikova (piano). It is a two-hour concert which comprise of Piano Concerto No. 1 in C minor and Symphony No. 7 in C major.

Honestly, I just enjoyed the sound of all the instruments playing together with all the dynamcs and drama.

Even when they are preparing, the sound is great. I really appreciate the performance as this is our first time. I used to see the orchestra in books and videos. Thanks SSO.

WILL: ast year, 2015, we decided to be a friend of Singapore Symphony Orchestra. And what you will get if you enrolled to this program? That amount is tax deductible, you will get a free pair of ticket to any SSO concert (worth $120.00), a card that is entitled you discounts for participating merchant and exclusive meet the artists sessions.

That is where we got our free February date. Scroll down for the link if you ate interested in being a SSO friend.

Now, let's get back to Leningrad. My eyes lit and go round and all I can say is OMG!!! How this people can touched my feelings and my soul in just playing those instruments? I felt sadness, excitement (sometimes I giggled too) and I felt being a champ on the ending of this more than 2-hour event.

This is my first time to watch this kind concert and I know this will not be the last! Thanks SSO. :)

Masters of Wealth Singapore 2015 - Live with Robert Kiyosaki by Success Resources

ABBEY: Financial education is needed now more than ever. Me and my wife read books, watch talks and attend seminars. That's why we were so excited when we knew that Robert Kiyosaki will be having speaking engagement here in Singapore. No more booking of hotels or catching a flight. It was held last November 29 at Resorts World Convention Centre.

I saw parents went with their youngsters exposing them and giving them education at early age. It was a whole day affair, literally. We started at 9AM and stretched until 9:30PM.

The facilitator Jason Tyne ensures that the audience is not sleeping as he always asks questions and give exercise routines to the attendees. All of them are good speakers in their own fields. But there's one thing common in them: to motivate, boost and make you do the act and that is the start.

The ones who caught most of my attention were Peng Joon, JT Foxx, and of course Robert Kiyosaki.

Peng Joon talked about how to setup and earn money online. He is younger than me and my wife but he already reached greater heights. We opted to enroll my wife for his intensive seminar and I know this is the start of our formal training in that field.

JT Foxx randomly give his perception on the attendees. I'm glad that I was picked and everything he told is true and I got instant personality check. He talked how a person needs to take action to progress and should be done now.

Most of the speakers offer their classes which don't come cheap. You just need to choose what you really want. Time passed and the last speaker were introduced on the stage. Robert, as entrepreneur, no need for him to promote his classes nor the books. They are selling themselves. The take away from him is that change the mindset, study, learn and act.

WILL: He is one of my favourite author in financial literacy arena. Well, who am I to pass a great deal to see him in flesh and directly talking to me. Thank you Robert Kiyosaki and the gang for going here in Singapore!!!

In pursuit of knowledge and wisdom, we were at Resorts World Sentosa too early to get a good seat. We were got the 3rd in row in the center. Yey!

PengJoon make his way on the stage first and taught us how to earn in internet. JT Foxx interacted with my husband about branding. Kevin Green awed me when he blatantly told the audience that his secret in surpassing Robert Kiyosaki's real estate business. And a lot more speakers are there to make your eye and ears open for you to get a piece of their brains.

Then Robert took the stage around 8pm. We never had dinner but still it is okay. Do not care with the growling tummy, I am there to feed my brain. As usual Robert uses a harsh words. But it is okay, because stup@d people need those forceful words to open up their minds for them to use their braincells. So Robert says saving money is not a good thing to do today, financial education is very important and people who are ready within will never be affected of any financial crisis that the economy goes through. In fact, if you are knowledgeable enough, you can make a tons of money in a crashing market. Do not worry Robert, I got you there! :)

This is one of the most beautiful self-investment I ever went. Thanks Wealth Resources for making this dream come true. :)

007 Spectre (2015 Film)

ABBEY:  When I saw the trailer to the newest sequel on Bond franchise, I find it interesting. From the time Daniel Craig became Agent 007 the story revolved on Bond's personal life. Maybe there are just too many instances where the villains' plans were thwarted by him so they are getting their revenge.

As usual the gadgets being used as agents are cool as well as the cars. And the actions and the explosions on Spectre leveled-up compared with the previous ones. That's why they bagged a Guinness World Record.

Still I'm not over the fact the the agent fell in love and being saved by his girls multiple times. Not a normal Bond thing. :)

WILL:  This is one of the most awaited film of the year. Ahm, actually all the 007 movies. Haha.

James Bond, a well trained bullet proof spy. Haha. Action is non stop. Stunts are astoundingly done. This is why people at any age range loves this series of movie.

Story: Predictable. Effects: Splendid. You entertained me and my siblings Bond!

The Last Witch Hunter (2015)

ABBEY: At last we're able to watch a movie on "Last Full Show" time slot. Started at midnight and ended at 2AM.

For The Last Witch Hunter, nothing new. I think I've seen the same movie plot but can't remember. Kill the villain, being haunted by that and then later on finds out that he was betrayed by his own friend. And Vin Diesel is already caught with the stigma of cars. Most of the movies starring him is associated with cars :) Nothing much for this movie.

The cast is great; Batman's Alfred, Fast & Furious, Dom and Frodo :)

WILL: My friend Jhen visited Singapore just to attend the  Global Summit 2015. For so little time, I want her to see the real beauty of Singapore. So I packed her itinerary that we almost do not sleep at all. Haha.

After the seminar, short walk inside Sentosa Island and rest at home, at 1130pm we paved our way to Seletar Mall to see The Last Witch Hunter at Shaw on 12mn. This is our first time to see a movie at that kind of timing.

So how's the movie? It is the typical "You can't love me but I like you story", typical betrayal and typical secret society. But it is entertaining. 7/10.

2CELLOS - On The Road Tour Live in Singapore 2015

ABBEY: Yahoo, we won. This time it is a pair of tickets for the live performance at Kallang theatre of 2Cellos; Croatian music artists who play, of course, the cello. This is courtesy of The Exchange bar. Just like and share, and lots of luck.

After their opening of classical music (JS Bach's Air), they told the audience that they can take all the pictures we want during their entire performance. They encourage us to sing ("You can sing if you know the lyrics because we don't know the lyrics :) ) and dance as well. How cool is that? Part of their repertoire is their Celloverse, Thuderstruck, With or without you, and The Book of love. The audience were on their feet when they played Trooper Overture, Highway to Hell and Smooth Criminal. It was unique and electrifying experience. A stringed instrument partnered with distortion and very good players, then it is a party. They ended with another classical, Pachelbel's Canon, and bid goodbye to us.

Thanks, The Exchange.

WILL: I love classical music, the sounds produces by cellos, violins and magnificent orchestras. And few close people knew that. So when we saw that our favorite bar held a Facebook contest Abbey hit like and shared instantly and hoped to award the pair of tickets. And it is! Thanks The Exchange.

2Cellos is not your ordinary classical cello players. Well, I knew that because of their youtube videos. But seeing them performing live is different. They are not that formal type of performer. They are the rock-n-roll version of classical genre. It seems that we attended a comedy show and rock and roll concert with a classical music at the end.

I clapped, I stamped my foot, I holler and most importantly I laughed hard. Thanks 2Cellos for making mine and my husband's night wonderfully. Till next time. ;)

Jurassic World Singapore

ABBEY: Jurrasic Park awed me when it was released on 1993. It was a good movie about those enormous creatures. And seeing them interacting on the guest of the park is really amazing. That's the same feeling I had when watching Jurrasic World.

The park was reopened after years of waiting. As the technology advances, there'll be more way to study and breed dinosaurs. They even shown that you can make your own, when they raised Indominus Rex. A beast larger than tyrannosaurs rex and is a combination of multiple species. The owner of the park thought it was a good idea to have attraction like that; more terrifying, have more teeth, and more "cool". Little did they know what hell will they be in if it is out of its containment.

The movie still give me suspense, keeps my hand sweating, and wondering when it will attack. It is good that they still kept raptors there (Go Blue). Now my wife want one as pet. Haha.

But I'm just wondering with these: Why Claire is the only one sweating a lot when all of them kept on running from the dinosaur? Does she has hyperhidrosis? She looks hot though. How can she manage to run that much wearing heels? Can Vin Diesel hire the boys as mechanic for putting an old vehicle back to action again?

WILL: The island was ruined again. Anyways, even it was destructed time and time again I still wish that there's a place with real dinosaurs. Haha.

Steven Spielberg nailed this and topping chart again after the Jurassic Park last 1993. When I saw the trailer there is an urge from inside of me to watch this. My instinct as always is correct. It made me clapped after the movie. It awakens the wanna-be-bone-digger (Palaeontologist) in me.

Jurassic World is very appealing to children rather than the blood raising and heart stopping Jurassic Park. Why? In the 2015 film shows that Tyrannosaurs Rex have a heart and will follow human command. This movie made me love dinosaurs more. Awwww! I love to have a T-Rex as my pet. Haha!

I recommend to my colleagues to watch this movie and promised that there is no dull moment. 5/5

Bamboo World Tour 2015 (Bamboo with Mitoy and The Voice Kids) - Live in Singapore

ABBEY: Rivermaya was my wife's favourite when we were on high school. Being her as my crush I need to know the lyrics of their songs, just to impress. So I have memorized most of them and little did I know that it will help me enjoy Bamboo's concert last March 15 in Singapore Expo.

The Voice Kids winners and Mitoy made the front acts.

Few points I found to be room for improvements for the kids:
Darlene: Improve on how to interact more with your audience. The quality of the voice and diction should be looked into. Choose songs that is for your vocal range. Yes, you can belt out those high notes but it is annoying when you're on the lows.

Lyca: Another product of sympathy votes, I guess. Aegis songs, yes. But need to enhance your talent more.

JK: Continue to harness your voice and serenade those girls.

Darren: Yes you are the total package, but please change your repertoire. Please, please, please!!! You're a dude, not a gal; unless you aren't. Change it soon, else you'll see yourself as one of the judges in "Your Face Sounds Familiar". Also, with your current acts, it is as if Sarah Geronimo is on the house. Get your own identity, man.

Mitoy really prepared the mood of the audience for Bamboo. He entertained the guests well. And he kept on singing while the crowd mugged him for selfie.

Then the rock icon entered the stage and set it on fire with his Rivermaya tunes like Awit ng Kabataan, Hinahanap-hanap Kita, 214, and Elesi. He also sang Noypi, Tatsulok and Hallelujah.

WILL: Cause time may pass; But longer than it'll last I'll be by your side... Am I real?

We got a VIP ticket for discounted price. Again, thanks Dr. Love Shelly!

We arrived late..2 hours late. But the show just started. Out of four, JK stands out for me. I knew Mitoy way way back when he is performing at Eat Bulaga. I admire his voice and his comedy antics that make the people dance along in his music. From there I am Mi-Toy-O Fans Club.

Bamboo Mañalac! The man of the hour! Never fails to make me scream and sing-a-long to his music. It reminds me of my teenage years specially when he hit the crowd with Rivermaya's Ang Awit ng Kabataan. And suddenly my heart pound for the love of my country when I heard the "Tatsulok". The Noypi lingers to my veins as it described a life of a Filipino Expats.

I Love Bamboo. Hope to see him in a reunion with other original Rivermaya.

Platinum Movie Suites - The Cathay

ABBEY: What if your local cinema offers the comfort of a blanket and reclining chair together with food? Yes, Cathay Cineplex gives that in their Platinum Movie Suites. A ticket costs SGD28.42(booking fee included).

You will warmly welcomed by their receptionist, in our case, it's Patricia. And you will be guided to the lounge. While waiting for the theater to open, you can place your order. They offer gourmet popcorns, nachos, coffee, wine, sodas, western and oriental meals like burger and fries, chicken wings, beef rendang and nasi goreng.

Once inside, the leather seats are waiting for you. Forgot to buy food in the lounge? No worries, press the call button and you will be attended to. It was a great experience. By the way, we watched Fifty Shades of Grey when we went to the Suites.

WILL: Abbey and I have a habit to accomplish/experience/buy one goal/place/things at a time. This is to eliminate stress in reaching our wishes in life. And this year, we planned to go for a movie night in one of the suites in Singapore. And firstly, we chose to experience it with Cathay Cinema.

50 Shades of Grey tickets were sold-out even in movie suites. Yep! Even on weekdays. This film really made a noise. Haha! But in luck we got 6 tickets for a Monday viewing.

We were awed by when we gather at the lounge. It seems that all the guests in here were served magnificently. Before the movie starts, the lady behind the concierge approached us if we want something to eat. She handed us the menu and we gave her our card and Abbey told her to put it on his tab.

The gate opened and I giggled that not more than 20 pairs of La-z-Boys were on my sight. Exclusivity indeed. The seat is very comfortable and a quilt is available for use. Please take note that the quilt smells and feels really clean. The seat can turn in to a bed and lamp and mini table adjustable on your own desire for you to put on your food.

I asked for nachos and cola. The cola was served in a wine glass and nachos have 2 dips served in a white plate. Señor Abbey and Señora Wilma. Haha!

Now, I am wishing to watch a movie again.

Fifty Shades Of Grey

ABBEY: Disclaimer: The blog entry is for the movie Fifty Shades of Grey only and not about the whole trilogy.

We reserved a pair of seats on Cathay Platinum Movie Suites for 60SGD four days after its opening.

An eligible bachelor was being interviewed by a graduating student and instead of him being interviewed she was the one on the hot seat. By the end of the conversation, Anastasia just want to get out of his presence, literally out of the building, to breathe as she was hyperventilating due to intimidation.

Then the stalking began. Christian Grey knew almost all means on how to get to Anastasia. As a rich businessman he can gift lavish gifts to any woman just like what he did to Anastasia. I cannot say that he's manipulative as the girl also show signs that he liked the guy. He just wants to be always in control.

But under that successful, handsome, and young appearance lies the dark side of him (not Batman huh). He practices sadomasochistic activities as the submissive and now he wants to be the one making the plot.

Maybe not my thing and I felt discomfort when he hits the girl on the end. (Spoiler).

Let's wait and see what the second installment has to offer.

WILL: We procrastinate to check first the review of this movie before we started to queue for this movie. Of course some will tell that the portrayal seems ok and how good the actress and actor was and some will tell the opposite.

And I can say is, that is why I do not want to go to the moviehouse if I had read the book. Well, it is not what I expect. Some scenes were missing and for days I cannot shake it off why they deleted it. Jamie Dornan is not enough to be Christian Grey.

But there is a feeling that I need to see the second and third sequel. :)

PK (2014)

ABBEY: Well I cannot say that it is "another" Indian movie. Why? There are talks and movements to ban the showing of this film on India.

We watched it at Jade Cinema (Shaw Towers) a day after its release. Of all the taboo topics, they picked a fragile one: religion.

We can't argue with an alien asking god to help him find his lost remote as the inhabitants of the earth always tell him that only god can help him. He tried rituals of all sorts of sects but nothing happened. He even questioned the god what would he do. One group says to take off your sandals when going in to the temple while the other insist on wearing it. And it is very confusing for him as he was out of this planet for having so much rules.

What I am happy about in the movie is that he reiterated that there is only one God and all others are "wrong numbers". Good one, PK. Another movie to be recommended from Aamir Khan.

WILL: Aamir Khan is keen to entertain his audiences not only with his acts and antics but with the role he is accepting. From inspiring 3 Idiots to the massive action movie Dhoom 3, Aamir loved to awed his fans!

Lump formed in my throat when PK cried when he lost his hope to find his missing remote control. Oh my! I want to cry now, I just remember how painful for him to search for an answer. He accidentally saw a factory of images of gods and cried in front of them. He asked them what is the proper way to talk to them for them to give what he wanted. I hope that scene made the moviegoers to analyze their beliefs.

This is a movie that I will totally recommend! 10/10!

Exodus: Gods and Kings (2014)

ABBEY:  Book or movie? That would be an endless argument especially that this came from the Bible.

We won a pair of 3D Premiere night tickets on Shaw Lido. It is the story of Moses; from his years as prince of Egypt until leading the Israelites to the Promised Land. It showed how God sent the plagues due to Pharaoh's hardened heart on releasing the Hebrews from bondage. No one will finish his plans and no one will work for him if that happens.

My imagination for the story when I was a child came to life and I'm happy with it. Though, there are points that should not be depicted as such but as the saying goes, to each his own. I'm glad that this movie somehow became an antidote for Noah's silverscreen appearance.

WILL: I am really pretty disappointed about "Noah" and that is the reason why I do not want to watch Exodus. But when it came to my knowledge that Christian Bale will play as Moses, I am somewhat convinced by Abbey to watch it one weekend.

Why pay if you can get it for free? We won a movie preview in 3D at Shaw Lido. Whooah! Totally blessed.

The story was well read in Bible's old testament that I am not quite familiar but some of the magnificent parts are all clear in my mind. I saw some of the scenes were altered and they made an explanation. It is terrifying that they have the guts to amend what was written.

Anyway, for the movie effects and actors 9/10. Well played... Well played...

Big Hero 6

ABBEY: It's been months since we went to cinema. So before my natal day ended, we booked tickets for Big Hero 6 at Shaw Lido.

Most of the movie goers were kids. Well, I'm a kid at heart; sometimes thinks and acts as a kid :)

Walt Disney Studios made me burst into laughters as the movie unfolds. It is a story of a robot-fight-fanatic kid while his brother is developing the same for the purpose of helping the community. Lot of twists on the story and funny moments as well. Make sure to check Baymax's signature bump fist move and his scale of pain.

Hire and Baymax is a good tandem. And with their whole team of nerd superhero, they are taking the world by storm. This is a good gift for my birthday.

WILL: It is my baby's birthday. Yeah my 31-year old boy's birthday. Haha! This is one of his birthday wish. So who am I to refuse on this childish request. Haha!

The movie is all about siblings! Gosh! If siblings is the topic my heart melts so easily.

Good movie for children and adult with a young heart. I really want to feel how soft and warm Baymax is.

Till next "Tralala". My rating 9/10.

Cavalia Singapore at The White Big Top (Marina Bay Sands)

ABBEY: I only see horses doing a performance in a circus show on television. Never seen a live one until last Sunday, 31st of August. It was shown in a large white tent adjacent to The Shoppes (Marina Bay Sands). The show starts at 5:30 but doors were open an hour early. In the tent lobby were Cavalia's merchandise from posters, pendants, plush toys and shirts. Snacks like popcorn, hotdog buns, and nachos were sold as well as drinks like sodas and wine.

Before the show starts, Q & A portion is there. Audience will participate by raising their hands when their answers will be flashed on the screen. I only got one correct answer. Fyi, all the horses are male. All expressed their awe when the first horse came out. No saddles, no strings. Lots of tricks and stunts were displayed. The "horse whisperers" did a great job. One trick that really impressed me is when the trainor guided six horses to jump a hurdle while standing on their backs. Last scene is when the stage was half-filled with ankle-deep water. Running on water, it gave these wonderful creatures more grace while moving.

It is not only horses that were shown but acrobats as well. Backflips, formations and gymnasts stunts were everywhere. All in all the performance is great; so great that it was extended until 28th of September.

WILL: The horses are amazing, their trainers don't even need to spank the stallions for them to obey. It seems that the horses and the men and women at the stage really understood each other.

They are traveling around the globe and its first stop here in Asia is in The Red Dot and I will be so dumb to let this opportunity pass by. The tickets was sold like pancakes and the show was extended for few more weeks.

31st of August we walked our way in to the big white tent of Cavalia beside The Shoppe. We were greeted by their mechandise; tshirts, stuffed toys and more memorabilias. At 5pm, gate was open and we waited for 15 minutes and a Cavalia quiz starts. It so fun that almost all of the audience participated on it. Fun facts that shocked me that they only have stallions and geldings in show. No mares allowed. Haha

The performance started by a very fast running horse. Gosh! Chills! The stunts, the live musical scoring and of course the horses. It is magical.

Thanks baby for sparing some of your time to be with me that night. Abbey is so busy! But he can't reject this because I paid for it. Haha!

"O"

ABBEY: The Arts House is having a program that reviews a piece of literature which also have a silverscreen version. It's called "But is the book better?". People can register for free passes on the movie. The one we had is about Shakespeare's Othello. A tragedy on the life of Othello made by his friend.

To be honest I haven't read the book. I definitely will be in dreamland on reading the first page. Good thing that the movie adaptation was made to give a new breath on the masterpiece so it will be learned by the new generation in a different way.

WILL: O is a 2001 film lined with the famous Shakespeare's The Tragedy of Othello.

Set in a high school basketball team and focused on Odin. Such focus and fame flamed jealousy, greed, betrayal and lies.. So many lies that lead to murders.

Indeed this is a tragedy.

Thanks to The Arts House at The Old Parliament of Singapore for the free movie :)

Disney - Maleficent Premiere Night (Singapore)

ABBEY: Once again, thank you Nuffnang for the pair of tickets.

SPOILER ALERT: This movie will change your perception regarding the evil witch and on the whole fairy tale.
The portrayal of Maleficent by Angelina is superb. It is just like the animated movie came to life. The soft side of the "fallen" fairy was shown as well as why she got angry with humans resulting in seeking her revenge.

Is it just me or Disney is setting the trend that "Prince Charmings" are not needed to give the one true love? They started on Frozen, now on Maleficent.

WILL: I am not your typical girl who loves "and they live happily ever after". I am a villain-enthusiast. I am more interested on the exciting lives of the people behind the miserable, sad, and boring life of princesses.

When Disney Studios introduced the Maleficent trailer starred by Angelina Jolie, all I do is count days on its showing date and wait for Nuffnang to give a pair ticket for us to attend its premiere night. Lo and behold, we won a ticket for 3D, premiere night at The Cathay.

It's all about the truth behind the unforgivable mistake done by a person you love. Revenge. How true love voids curse.

Again, good movie Disney..

Captain America : The Winter Soldier (2014)

ABBEY: Marvel continues to reveal the only plot that it uses on its comic story or on its movies.

Since all is well on the world of the superhero, his past will come to haunt him. It turns out that he's buddy that was assumed dead was not dead at all. His enemy will use his buddy to fight him.
On the other side, again, the highest official of whatever institution it is, or the one who is an advocate of peace is the villain. And one of the closest ally/comrade of the superhero will "die".

Fighting scenes will emerge, and yes The Winter Soldier can boast of its special effects and stunts. The "dead" buddy will somehow be trapped on falling debris and he will be rescued as they were friends. They will be saving each other at the end.
People will stay on their sits waiting for the end credit sneak-peek. And The Winter Soldier has two :)

By the way, how can a well-built, tall soldier can hide on his shield so small like that? Oh, I forgot this is not a true story :)

WILL: I asked Abbey to promise me that he will save money for us to see this 2nd sequel on the big screen. From the day I saw the end credits, I'm always on the lookout when will be the showing of Captain America 2.

Your brain and intuition will be in great use for finding out the truth. 10/10. I want a dvd copy of this.

300: Rise of an Empire

ABBEY: As the story of the first installation ended up in raising an army to defeat Xerxes, the sequel turned back the time to show where he came from. He came to power to avenge his father's death, King Darius. Armed with mystical power by transforming into a "God-King" he commanded Artemisia (Eva Green) to rally a battle at the sea against the Athenians.

They suffered loss against the Greeks led by Themistocles. Artemisia even offered the second in command rank to him but he declined. She mustered more troops to fight them. The Persians could have won if not for the reinforcement of Spartans of Queen Gorgo. Then the rest is history. Kindly refer to the Battle of Salamis.

Lesson from Xerxes : You have the power. You have money. You're a God-King and you have Artemisia. Enjoy what you have than go to war :)

WILL: I am a fan of war movies. I love see surprises on every attack of different side. If you want me to be with inside a movie theater look for a genre of film like this.

I watched 300 and of course I was delighted to know that there's a part 2. 300: Rise of an Empire gave me shivers. While watching, I confessed to myself that this is the movie I always wanted. Themistocles and Artemesia fought in the Battle of Artemisium.

After Eva Green laid on the arms of death, film was also ended. Then I was disappointed! My question is, which empire is on the rise in this film?

Dhoom 3 (2013) - Singapore

ABBEY: After watching a couple of Hindi action movies like Dhoom 2 and Da Bang, Dhoom 3 is the best by far.

I was anticipating this in silver screen since I saw its trailer. Not only that Katrina Kaif is part of the cast but I was amazed on the effects specially on the scenes involving the twins (spoiler alert). Compared to local films in Philippines the action scenes are better but still plot is predictable. Also they should minimize the use of slow-mo during explosions, and on impossible feats of the hero/villain. Other stunts defy the law of physics but you just need to laugh them off and continue watching the movie. But I assure you all of those criticisms will be gone when you see Aaliyah dance and smile.

7/10 for the film and 10.5/10 for Katrina. No wonder why she was named sexiest in Asia for the fourth time. Woot! Woot!

WILL: Dhoom machaleeeee! My colleagues got angry whenever I sing the Dhoom Machele Dhoom. I think for a week that was my LSS. Haha! Dhoom 3 is a big hit here in Singapore and thanks to Sir Nitin Parab for the free tickets. We watched the movie at Golden Village VivoCity.

For almost 3 hours I stared at the silver screen because need to read the subtitle as keen as possible.

I cried. Yes! I cried! My heart is really soft on a siblings-stories. The critics says that the movie is not so good or some were just copied to Hollywood films but for me, 8/10. 3 is nicer than Dhoom 2, I assure you!

Thor: The Dark World

ABBEY: So Loki was captured and being detained at Asgard. The whole kingdom was at peace as well as the inhabitants of the earth. But then again another villain was in the rise seeking revenge and that particular "indestructible" force to complete it. The plot thickens; some fell but still the good manages to prevail. It was simple but it was good as this is a superhero movie.

The effects and action relives my imagination. Sometimes I'm wandering what if I have superpower :)=

As this is a Marvel movie, we waited for the Easter egg at the end of credits. SPOILER ALERT: There is Thor 3.

WILL: What can I say about the 2nd chapter of Thor’s life, well, he is now mature! The way he talked, the way he fight and the way he think! I enjoy this movie more because of Loki’s idea and the appearance of my Captain America.

The whole story for me is pretty childish. 6/10. Unbelievable way how to save the world.
