ABBEY: We celebrated Wilma’s natal day at Akimitsu (VivoCity); Japanese restaurant. I had their signature pork katsudon. The set comes with a miso soup, chawanmushi and the katsudon with egg and sweet sauce. The rice bowl taste good. We also asked for wasabi just to try the taste of pork slice to be eaten with it. It was good as well. ABBEY: This Japanese restaurant is always having a long queue. We got curious and we dined in there for our anniversary dinner. You can order the sushi of your choice by scanning a QR code on your receipt and then the magic happens.  Your one-bite delight will be delivered to you by a train; a toy train. It was fun and unconventional. The wasabi has a nice kick. Bit of advice though, order early as the train can come a little longer. The price is more expensive compared to other restaurant. Genki Sushi Inari WILL:  I planned to have a takeaway food for us to celebrate our 8th year anniversary but my husband except for flower surprise, he also told me that he wants to have a date at Genki Sushi. Well, as always, I said yes to his invitation.   The gimmick is you order using your own phone via QR provided and your food will be delivered by a magnetic train. Cool, isnt? Hehe.  So on their food: The wasabe have a hair pulling power.. and I like it. ...

Ingredients: 1 medium cabbage (sliced into strips) Carrot (optional) Onion Garlic (minced) Chicken stock Dumplings The recipe is very easy. It is like chicken soup but replace the chicken with cabbage and dumplings. Sauté onion then garlic. Put in the chicken stock and bring into simmer. Then put carrots, cabbage and lastly the dumplings. Simmer for a couple of minutes and turn off the heat to avoid overcooking. Serve and enjoy. Easy Dumpling Cabbage Soup VERDICT WILL:  Now, I feel how my mom feels whenever she will think for our daily menu. Luckily on our era, Youtube and Facebook are there to help for some ideas...and Abbey to do it. Hehe.   Do you know that cabbage is good for your digestion? So! Here you go! Cabbage soup! The taste? It tastes healthy! Vegetarian Dumplings made it even better! If you feel sick, this is a good alternative for porridge.  Hmmm what will be the next soup baby? 

Ingredients: French beans (cut into 3-in long) Liver (thin slices) 1 medium onion (sliced) 4 cloves garlic (minced) Salt and pepper Sauté onion then garlic. Mix in the liver. Put in the string beans and atir fry for a couple of minutes. Season with salt and pepper. It is that easy. WATCH HERE French Beans and Carrots with Liver VERDICT WILL:  Fact: When I am in secondary school. My mom always asked me to eat a half-cooked pig’s liver. Everyday! This is to jacked-up my blood as the doctor found that I am anemic that time. So now, remembering those days and to help our body to get more iron that Abbey and I need, we came up with this recipe. Yeyyy!!   Concoction of iron, protein and beta carotene -- presenting the string beans and carrot with liver! Every bite is yummy and I can hear body thanking me for this food.  Love this viand! Kung pwede lang araw-araw! Hehe. 

ABBEY: Wilma was really excited when she saw the sign that Mr. Coconut will open a shop near us. We tried their signature drink: Coconut shake. It was creamy and you can bite the bits and pieces of the coconut meat. Perfect amount of ice, coconut and sugar. Mr Coconut - Coconut Shake Waterway Point Branch WILL: The huge buzz now is the different variances of milk tea that rose up in every corner of Singapore. Now, there is a contender to quench the sizzling heat here, the Coconut Shake   There is one branch newly opened at Waterway Point. Of course, Abbey and I tried it. The taste? Good! As in good that you will taste the real coconut, it was not overpowered by milk, sugar or ice. ABBEY: We had dinner at Penang Culture (Compass One). I ordered their Hokkien Mee. While waiting for the food, we were given a small basket of prawn crackers (this is chargeable).  I felt sad when the Hokkien Mee was served. It lacks appeal and the serving is small for 7 SGD. Definitely the picture was very different from the actual :) It has less sauce and less smoky  flavor. ABBEY: We secured a pair of Disney on Ice ticket for the last day of their show. We will be meeting Mickey and Minnie as well as the princesses so we dressed up for the royalties :) I’m not suprised that most of the audience are kids. You can see them in Disney Princess costumes while asking their dad and mom to buy souvenirs.  Quick bites like hotdogs, sandwiches, and pao are being sold with soda or coffee. The show is great as the audience participated. You can hear the little voices sung Let It Go with Elsa and the reaction when Rapunzel soared from the ground as if flying. It was fun and I was wowed.
