Paper Rice - Vietnamese Kitchen | Featuring Mekong Specialities

ABBEY: Want some Vietnamese cuisine? Visit Paper Rice. We went at their outlets at Changi City Point and Plaza Singapura. I ordered Grilled Chicken Chop Rice with Egg Meatloaf as well as Pork Bahn Mi. You can really taste the smokiness and char on each bite.

The tanginess and saltiness of the dipping sauce will give a burst of flavour. I also tried hot egg coffee which was delivered by a friendly robot. It is creamy and the caffeine kick is strong.

Paper Rice - Vietnamese Kitchen | Featuring Mekong Specialities - Pork Noodle Soup

WILL: We headed for dinner at Paper Rice Vietnamese Kitchen after Abbey’s meetup with colleagues at Changi City Point.

Once you get seated, you will feel at home. Like a visitor to ones home waiting for one of the parents to greet you. Hehe. That’s the vibes in their restaurant. Why? The furniture reminds me of my grandmother’s house in Malabon City. It is antique and colorful. Home that is clean and full of happiness.

Okay let’s go for the food review. The food serving is huge. As in really huge. You may not feel the authenticity of Vietnamese cuisine here because it seems fusioned with modern era. Haha. Like their Deep Fried Vegetarian Spring Roll. It was not wrapped into an ordinary spring roll wrapper or white paper rice. Then my Pork Noodle Soup didn’t possessed a strong coriander scent. Maybe a plus for some but a quite a downside for me. Because I love coriander hehe.

Will surely be back for their hot egg milk coffee and hot refreshing tea.

Han Dynasty - RELAXATION DAY IDEA IN SINGAPORE

ABBEY: After a year of hard work, vacation time is anticipated. What makes me excited is that we can relax and enjoy the time off and be ready for the next year.

To pamper ourselves we went to Han Dynasty for a body massage. I can say that it was an amazing experience. The massage was so hard that I need to tell the masseuse to lessen the “power”. Hahaha. The aching muscles are gone and unwound. It was rejuvenating. Make sure to book an appointment.

WILL: One of the best gift for a friend is to help them lessen their stress right? So Abbey give a gift of fully body massage to Chat last 2021. This time, we tried Han Dynasty Spa located at Thomson.

Before the session the masseuse asked for our pain points and indeed they concentrated on that body part. The downside is too much focus on that body part that she didn’t have enough time to massage my limbs.

The place is clean and you’ll feel that it was totally sanitised. Towels were soft and oil is not that sticky. Worth it to try!

Lemuel Chocolate | Bean To Bar | Singapore

ABBEY: I always crave for hot chocolate for Christmas. Maybe it is with the season or with the ample supply of that brown nectar during that time. Good thing Lemuel (Bean-to-bar chcocolate maker) is there to satisfy my craving. The drink is not too sweet. It is thick and really chocolatey. It is like a cup of hugs that gives warmth to you. They also sell chocolate bars as well as bon bons, and brownies. Definitely, a return trip will be happening.

WILL: Every cold weather hits up, which can be felt during December - February in Sinagpore, Abbey is longing for a cup of hot chocolate. 2020 we went to check Angelina at Marina Bay Sands and on 2021 we went to one of the local chocolatier. Lemuel Chocolate … of course support local! Lemuel Chocolate’s Bean to Bar concept is located at The Star Vista just beside Buona Vista MRT Station. In their open kitchen store you can peak how the chocolate were processed from bean to your sweet lovely chocolate! Their cafe has this chic and pure feel. You can surely have an intimate/private talk there. So how’s the hot chocolate? It is velvety texture, not to sweet and the warmness will embrace you in that cold day. Haha. Truly, Lemuel Chocolate’s were MADE WITH PASSION! You can book a tour too in their factory.
