Marina Bay Sands Review: High-Tech Luxury Staycation in Singapore

ABBEY: If there’s one iconic experience that calls out to tourists and Singapore residents alike, it’s the opportunity to swim in the world-famous infinity pool atop Marina Bay Sands Hotel. As part of our pre-cruise adventure, we treated ourselves to a night in the Sands Premier Room in Tower 1—and what an experience it was!

Our check-in coincided with a sudden downpour, temporarily delaying our much-anticipated pool visit. While waiting for the rain to subside, we decided to indulge at one of the hotel’s dining spots; Black Tap. A generously-sized burger and fries, paired with the decadent Crazyshake Brooklyn Blackout, turned the delay into a delightful mini-feast.

Once the skies cleared, we slipped into our swimwear and headed straight to the infinity pool. The panoramic view was absolutely breathtaking. From the glistening Marina Bay to the towering skyscrapers of the Central Business District and the endless sea beyond, it’s a sight that stays with you. We didn’t stop there—we also made time to relax in the hot tub, soaking in the luxurious atmosphere.

The Sands Premier Room was nothing short of extraordinary. Every detail showed sophistication, from the leather accents—yes, even the remote control and notepad covers!—to the thoughtful amenities. To our surprise, bath bombs were already waiting for us by the bathtub—no special requests needed.

Speaking of requests, the hotel went above and beyond to accommodate our sensitive skin concerns, providing alternative toiletries. It’s these small, considerate touches that truly set their service apart.

The bed was a dream; plush linens and perfectly balanced pillows. And the cherry on top? A beautifully presented birthday cake, adding a personal touch to our celebration.

From the stunning infinity pool to the impeccable service, our stay at Marina Bay Sands was unforgettable. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply treating yourself to a slice of luxury, this hotel delivers on every front. We left refreshed, pampered, and with memories to last a lifetime.

Marina Bay Sands Review High-Tech Luxury Staycation in Singapore
Marina Bay Sands Review High-Tech Luxury Staycation in Singapore

WILL: Back in July, Abbey and I booked a room at Marina Bay Sands (MBS) Tower 3 for SGD883.78. It was such a great deal! Fast forward to November, we tried to book the same rate but it was already gone, even after calling MBS to check. With no choice and time running out, we booked the available room—and it was completely worth it.

This is probably the best hotel room I’ve stayed in so far:
-- Bright and Well-Lit: The room was perfectly lit, which is very important to me. Good lighting doesn’t just hide imperfections in the room but also creates a breathable and open space that feels fresh and inviting.

-- Soft and Clean Linens: The bed smelled fresh, the quilt had the perfect weight, and everything felt clean and cozy.

-- Toiletries: Since I had allergies last time from the Ferragamo toiletries, we asked for alternatives—and MBS delivered Jo Malone’s. The bath salts placed beside the tub were such a nice touch.

--Teapot Bonus: I love tea, and I was so happy to see a teapot ready to use. It’s rare to find hotels that think of tea lovers like me.

The room had motion-sensor lights on the floors, the balcony’s glass door, and even the toilet area. While it’s impressive and modern, it might not suit you if you want a simple, unplugged staycation.

The MBS Infinity Pool facing Singapore’s CBD and it’s jacuzzi overlooking Gardens by the Bay, was the highlight of our stay. The jacuzzi was equally relaxing. We spent so much time here that we missed the gym again. Maybe next time!

Connecting our laptop to the TV or streaming shows was so easy. The room had cables ready and supported AirPlay, which was very convenient.

Marina Bay Sands is definitely worth the splurge. From the luxurious room to the stunning pool, everything felt special. If you’re looking for a beautiful stay with thoughtful details and a fresh, breathable space, MBS is worth every dollar.

Would you stay here? Newly renovated room cost SGD 1,071.91.

Luxury Singapore Itinerary: Save Money on 5-Star Stays and Attractions

Imagine experiencing the best Singapore has to offer—from the iconic Marina Bay Sands infinity pool to a thrilling day at Legoland Malaysia—all while staying in top-tier hotels and dining at exquisite restaurants. Singapore is a city where luxury meets adventure, and while these experiences can be pricey, they are certainly worth every penny.

Luxury Singapore Itinerary: Save Money on 5-Star Stays and Attractions
Luxury Singapore Itinerary: Save Money on 5-Star Stays and Attractions

Why Splurging on a Luxurious Singapore Trip is Worth It

Singapore offers unparalleled experiences, from world-class attractions to luxury accommodations that are second to none. Here’s what you get by investing in a high-end itinerary:

1. Stay at Iconic Hotels: Waking up at Marina Bay Sands and taking a dip in its stunning infinity pool is an experience you’ll never forget. Combine that with the minimalist charm of Lloyd’s Inn, a boutique hotel offering peace and tranquility in the heart of the city. You’ll get a luxurious yet intimate stay that feels like a hidden gem.

2. Unforgettable Attractions: Whether it’s a fun-filled family day at Legoland Malaysia or the mesmerizing Garden Rhapsody at Gardens by the Bay, these activities create memories that last a lifetime.

3. Gourmet Dining: Savor Singaporean favorites at Song Fa Bak Kut Teh or experience the mouthwatering satay at Satay by the Bay while enjoying the scenic view of Marina Bay.

Yes, all these come at a price, but every bit of it adds up to an unforgettable journey.

Saving Up for a Luxurious Experience: Here’s How You Can Do It

Now that you know why this trip is worth saving for, here are some tips to ensure you’re financially ready for the adventure:

1. Plan Early: Start by setting a budget and creating a savings plan months in advance. Allocate funds specifically for accommodation, meals, and activities. If you save regularly, it won’t feel like such a financial burden all at once.

2. Use Travel Booking Platforms to Get the Best Deals: One of the easiest ways to save money while planning a luxury trip is by using booking platforms like Expedia. With Expedia, you can bundle your flight and hotel to get excellent rates on luxurious stays such as Marina Bay Sands or Crowne Plaza Changi Airport.

3. Look for Discounted Tours and Attractions: Singapore has plenty of amazing attractions, but entrance fees can add up. Luckily, platforms like KKDay offer significant discounts on tickets to places like Legoland Malaysia, Gardens by the Bay, and private transport options for day trips. Pre-booking through KKDay can save you up to 30% on these experiences, allowing you to enjoy luxury on a budget.

How You Can Still Save (Without Missing Out on the Fun)

Even if your goal is to enjoy the finer things in Singapore, there are always ways to trim down your expenses. Here are a few tips to keep costs in check:

1.Consider Off-Peak Travel: Hotels and flights can be significantly cheaper if you book during off-peak seasons. This allows you to experience the same luxury for less.

2. Look for Package Deals: Keep an eye on bundled packages that combine flights, hotel stays, and even attraction passes. Platforms like Expedia often offer these deals, which can help you save more than booking everything separately.

3. Pre-Book Activities: Booking activities in advance through sites like KKDay not only ensures availability but also helps you grab discounts. For example, transport to Johor Bahru and Legoland Malaysia can be pre-arranged at a lower rate, saving both time and money.

Take Advantage of Local Dining: While splurging on high-end restaurants is part of the experience, Singapore’s street food is world-famous. You can balance your gourmet meals with affordable and delicious local options to keep costs in check.

Why a Luxurious Singapore Vacation is Within Reach

A high-end trip to Singapore doesn’t have to feel like an impossible dream. With careful planning and smart spending, you can enjoy this luxurious adventure while keeping your budget intact. Whether it’s staying at Marina Bay Sands for a night or treating yourself to a family day at Legoland Malaysia, the key is knowing where and how to find savings.

Here’s where you can really cut costs:

** Expedia’s flight + hotel bundles are perfect for luxury travelers looking to get the most out of their stay while saving on accommodations.

** KKDay offers exclusive deals on popular attractions and transport options, helping you stretch your dollar further while still enjoying Singapore’s best experiences.

Start saving today, and before you know it, you’ll be sipping cocktails by the infinity pool, enjoying the stunning skyline views of one of the most beautiful cities in the world!

Marina Bay Sands Premier Services: Is This Your Dream Hotel in Singapore?

ABBEY: Booking a room at Marina Bay Sands (MBS) through their app wasn't as smooth as I’d hoped. I ran into some issues securing rooms for my preferred dates, so I decided to reach out to their customer service. That’s when Natasha stepped in. With my membership ID in hand, she not only helped me lock in two rooms but also managed to secure some discounts for me—talk about a win!

Fast forward to three days before our stay, I received an email from the MBS Premium Service Team. They asked me to fill out the guest details and offered a personalized check-in service. I initially thought this was just part of their standard process, but it turned out to be much more.

Upon our arrival at the hotel, we were greeted by long check-in queues. That’s when I remembered the Premium Service Team. A quick call later, and David—our knight in a blue suit—arrived to save the day. Not only did we get a special lane, but we also got an in-room check-in. How cool is that?

When we finally made it to our room, we were welcomed with a fruit basket, and everything seemed perfect. Well, almost everything. My niece suddenly burst into tears, and we were all puzzled—turns out, there was no fruit basket in the other room! But the Premium Service Team swooped in once again, delivering some delicious fruits and turning her frown upside down.

We were celebrating my niece’s birthday, so the staycation was extra special. After dinner, we returned to find a surprise gift waiting on her bed. Guess who left it? Yep, the incredible Premium Service Team. They truly went above and beyond throughout our stay.

Even at checkout, their exceptional service continued. They helped us store our luggage, freeing us up to explore from Gardens by the Bay to Suntec City without any worries. They even handled the logistics to our next destination, making our journey completely hassle-free.

It was an extraordinary experience, and we felt genuinely cared for every step of the way. A huge shoutout to the amazing Premium Service Team, especially Nesh, Natasha, David, Yeng, Bayani, and Selan. Your dedication made our stay unforgettable!

Marina Bay Sands Premier Services: Is This Your Dream Hotel in Singapore?

WILL: When we talk about hotels in Singapore, why does Marina Bay Sands (MBS) always come up as the go-to option? If you ask us, we wouldn’t recommend it. If you’re like us and crave a peaceful, calming staycation, MBS is not your ideal choice. Have you ever seen the lobby? It’s like a marketplace, loud and chaotic. The check-in and check-out process is a nightmare—long queues and disorganized chaos.

But, let’s be honest—who can resist the iconic infinity pool? That’s what draws most people in. If swimming at the top of Singapore is on your bucket list, it’s hard to say no.

Abbey’s brother-in-law requested an MBS stay as a treat. Abbey saved for a 2-night stay, but we could only squeeze in one night due to our schedules. After avoiding MBS for so long, we finally gave in. So, what’s new?

Thanks to Abbey’s Sands Lifestyle membership, we got a taste of Marina Bay Sands Premier Services—and that’s what turned things around for us:

  1. No Queue Check-In: David, our personal butler, escorted us straight to the room, bypassing the usual lobby chaos.
  2. Welcome Perks: We were greeted with a fruit platter, and David went the extra mile to surprise our niece Nika with balloons and a teddy bear for her birthday.
  3. Easy Requests: No need to call the lobby; just send a quick WhatsApp message for anything you need.

The room? As you'd expect—clean, spacious, with a comfy bed. Their luxury toiletries are from Salvatore Ferragamo, leaning a bit masculine in scent, and TWG tea, as usual, makes an appearance. The balcony view overlooking Gardens by the Bay? Absolutely stunning.

With these perks and that sprawling room, we might just return to MBS. The Premier Services made everything so much more convenient.

Is MBS really worth the splurge? What do you think? SGD1,767.56 for two rooms in a night :)

Ralph’s Coffee: A Taste of Luxury and Connection at Marina Bay Sands

ABBEY: We planned to visit Ralph’s Coffee a couple of times and that day came. Good thing there are less people on the shop when we arrived. I got the flat white and we ordered a slice of chocolate cake. My coffee tastes the same as with other cafes but the cake is to come back for.

Remember the Matilda Cake? The decadent, sweet-bitter, and moist cake? This is close. You can go by here while thinking what Ralph Lauren’s piece of clothing you would buy, or rest after trying them all or just casually catch up with a friend or loved ones. They do takeaways too.

Ralph’s Coffee: A Taste of Luxury and Connection at Marina Bay Sands

WILL: Nestled in the heart of Marina Bay Sands, Ralph’s Coffee flagship store offers more than just a caffeine fix—it’s an experience. And let me tell you, it’s an experience worth having! As soon as you step in, you're greeted by the inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the chic ambiance that Ralph Lauren is famous for.

Now, let’s talk about the star of the show—the sea salt caramel latte. At just S$8, it’s a steal! Not only does it pack the perfect punch of caffeine, but it’s also not too sweet, striking that ideal balance that keeps you coming back for more. Plus, the price is just right, comparable to your favorite coffee chains.

But what truly sets Ralph’s Coffee apart is the atmosphere. Unlike other cafes where you often see people glued to their screens or buried in books, here it's all about connection. The three tables occupied by patrons were filled with laughter and conversations, as people took the time to bond with each other—a refreshing change indeed.

In conclusion, Ralph’s Coffee is more than just a café—it’s an oasis of warmth and connection in the bustling Marina Bay Sands. If you’re looking for a unique café experience that’s a cut above the rest, I highly recommend giving it a try. Trust me, you’ll feel the difference from the moment you walk in. Cheers to many more delightful coffee dates at Ralph’s!

Yardbird Singapore's MUST TRY SUNNY MORNING BREAKFAST SET | Marina Bay Sands Singapore Restaurant

ABBEY: Wilma was enticed of Yardbird’s waffles so we went there for a brunch and ordered a pair of Sunny Morning. Each set (36SGD) comes with freshly-squeezed juice, coffee or tea and one entrée. The juices are great: Green Giant (cucumber, celery, kale and honey) and Carotine Kicker (apple, orange, sweet potato and maple syrup). I preferred the former.

For the main I had Crispy chicken and egg biscuit sandwich. The serving is quite small but packs flavor. The melted cheese covered the succulent crispy chicken and really goes well with the biscuit.

Next time I’ll try the Chicken N Waffles N Watermelon.

WILL: Our siblings send us money to splurge on foods. So, this is the right time to spend without guilt. And one of our target restaurants way back 2019 is Yardbird located in The Shoppes of Marina Bay Sands. My goal is to taste test their famous waffles and the best time to eat those is on morning, so we booked a table and arrived around 1030am.

They have a $36 Sunny Morning Set and I chose to have Green Giant Juice, Salted Caramel Waffle and Hot Tea. The juice is impressive! Celery is not overwhelming amd the cucumber is refreshing! And that is my best waffle that I ever had. Not airy but packed and crispy! There is a tendecy that may get dry if you’re a slow eater like me. Haha! Just ask for syrup. Ok? The tea do not taste like burnt leaves.

Will be back? Yes of course! Next time will check the other food options like for dinner or lunch.

Natureland Spa Premium at Marina Bay Sands

ABBEY: At last after almost two years, our bodies got themselves a massage from a premium spa Natureland (Marina Bay Sands). Have a reservation before you head there. The session was 30 minutes behind the schedule but we got a nice couple room. I told the masseuse not to be fooled by Wilma’s built and they can give her a hard massage.

I enjoyed the neck cracking and “elbowing”. I felt my spine decompressed, my shoulders and calves relaxed. I was continuously asked if I’m OK, which I am. All the muscle stiffness is gone. I turned into a jelly. Haha.

We were given ginger tea and water after the session. Definitely recommended!

Natureland Spa Premium at Marina Bay Sands

WILL: Natureland Spa branches are sprouting in many places in Singapore and one of their newest premier branch is at Marina Bay Sands.

We booked 4PM and arrived on time but I am not sure what happened and our schedule was pushed to 440pm. Before 5PM we are already at one of their couple room and we were handed a disposable underwears. The room, the sheets are clean and pleasantly smells. We chose exotic oil aroma for our massage.

Abbey advised my masseur that I need a hard massage and it is the start of my new life! Haha! The masseur frantically kneaded my back, my shoulder and side of my ribcage. It is a total relief. This is one if the few spa that I will give a 5-Stars. Haha!

Definitely will comeback by April.

Angelina Restaurant and Cafe in Singapore l Marina Bay Sands

ABBEY: Since the start of Christmas season, I suddenly have a craving for a hot chocolate. I picture it hot, creamy, slightly thick and rich in flavour.

It was satisfied by the signature chocolate of Angelina, L’Africain. But boy, it was priced at 13SGD. It was served on a tiny porcelain jug and whipped cream on the side. The taste of chocolate alone brings back memories and really fits the festive air. Adding the whipped cream makes it more thick and decadent. It is smooth till the last drop. I partnered it with egg croissant with smoked salmon.

But I’m telling you, the hot chocolate itself is enough. Try it and see for yourself.

WILL: Do you remember my post about the 18km morning walk for a breakfast? No? Please click this link below. Haha! Abbey is craving for a hot chocolate and he is feeling festive so we decided to get one of the best review hot chocolate in Singapore.. the Angelina at Marina Bay Sands. We walked for almost 4 hours. Great right?

Angelina is a French Cafe and they pride themselves on their hot chocolate. What can I say? Please continue on what you are doing with your creamy, smooth, not so sweet yet not bitter hot chocolate drink. They have a good partnering of black coffee and whip cream. I am awaken on this kind combination.

Their Éclair caramel beurre salé reminds me of eclair candy in the Philippines. Nostalgic and perfect to my black creamy coffee.

Totally a good way to indulge!
