ABBEY:  Before the year ended, we finally caught Beauty and the Beast: The Musical at Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands, and it was a lovely way to wrap up the year. The audience was mostly families, with plenty of kids in tow. Some were holding glowing Enchanted Roses, seated excitedly beside their parents. Every time I watch a stage adaptation of a well-loved movie, I find myself curious about how the story will translate to live theatre. In this case, the production truly delivered. From the opening scene in Belle’s village to the transformation of the prince into the Beast and back again, every moment felt thoughtfully staged. “Be Our Guest” stood out with its colourful, lively, almost cabaret-like energy that instantly filled the theatre with excitement. I ran into some issues securing rooms for my preferred dates, so I decided to reach out to their customer service. That’s when Natasha stepped in. With my membership ID in hand, she not only helped me lock in two rooms but also managed to secure some discounts for me—talk about a win! Fast forward to three days before our stay, I received an email from the MBS Premium Service Team. They asked me to fill out the guest details and offered a personalized check-in service. I initially thought this was just part of their standard process, but it turned out to be much more. Upon our arrival at the hotel, we were greeted by long check-in queues. ABBEY: We planned to visit Ralph’s Coffee a couple of times and that day came. Good thing there are less people on the shop when we arrived. I got the flat white and we ordered a slice of chocolate cake. My coffee tastes the same as with other cafes but the cake is to come back for.  Remember the Matilda Cake? The decadent, sweet-bitter, and moist cake? This is close.
