Samyang Hot Chicken X2 Spicy Ramen 핵 불닭볶음면 (140g X 5s)

ABBEY: This became a challenge across the globe and I want to try it. I already passed the 4000 Scoville heat units (SHU) and I wonder how much spicy it is if you double it. I successfully finished 3 packs of it.  I already realized that it was really spicy on the first slurp of noodle. My mouth and tongue went numb but I know I can handle the heat. The second time, my eyes teared up without me knowing it and got runny nose also. On the third, it was like normal but still the kick is strong. The taste is sweet and spicy. Make sure to have water, milk or anything sweet on standby in case you want to take the challenge :) A pack of 5 is less than 4SGD now on sale. Samyang Hot Chicken X2 Spicy Ramen 핵 불닭볶음면 WILL:  When Samyang's 2x challenge hit social media, I am shocked Abbey wants to try it. It seems that I am not at his side when Abbey evolved from a man who totally don't eat spicy food to a spicy-addicted man.  On his first pack, I tried a little r...

The ingredients came together well and made me finish the whole batch; save for a couple of spoons for Wilma’s lunch :) I now wonder what if shrimp will be added to that. And my wish was granted. Wilma added shrimps and it was del...

I Want My Noodle at Shaw Centre (Orchard)

ABBEY: After attending a conference, we unwind and had dinner at I Want My Noodle before heading home. The restaurant has an ambiance of an old Chinese shop. I got Simple noodle, giant wanton and avocado smoothie. The dry noodles are good and the texture is like the under cooked instant noodle we had back in Philippines which I like. And the sauce really gave flavor to it.  The oversize wanton is giant because of the wrapper not by the fillings.  They have a must-try over the avocado smoothie. And I can say that it is indeed smooth, milky and not too sweet.  No credit cards; only cash or NETS. I Want My Noodle - MENU I Want My Noodle - MyBak Chor Mee  I Want My Noodle - Fried Wanton  I Want My Noodle - Avocado Smoothie  I Want My Noodle - MENU I Want My Noodle - MENU WILL:  Before we buy  Abbey's new black shoes at Pedro, we dropped by at I Want My Noodle diner. Chop Chop Biryani & Meats (Roasted Pork and Squid With Biryani?) At Amoy Street Food Centre

ABBEY : I like briyani rice but sometimes it would be monotonous if the same old chicken or mutton will be there along with the rice. Enter Chop Chop Biryani & Meats.  This shop serves briyani rice but with your preferred meats. Choices are pork (yes pork), beef, squid, and chicken. A meal with 2 meats and pineapple salsa will be 6.50SGD. I got char siew and pork masala with my rice. It was delicious: the spiciness of Indian rice topped with Chinese food.  Wow, perfect for lunch or dinner. Chop Chop: Biryani & Meats  Chop Chop Biryani & Meats : Pork Masala  Chop Chop Biryani & Meats : Blur Sotong Chop Chop Biryani & Meats - Menu  Chop Chop Biryani & Meats : Menu WILL:  Abbey do not waste time to spend moments with me. Yes! A+ for his efforts. After his visit to the doctor, he dropped by to our office with a Chop Chop takeaway in hand. Thank you.  He had Blur Sotong for me. This is a dream ...

Fried Tokwa (Tofu) - Filipino Recipes

ABBEY: Thanks to Mato for this recipe. Ingredients: 4 pcs tokwa (cut into small cubes) Knorr liquid seasoning (classic flavor) Soy sauce Calamansi Coriander leaves (chopped) Hot chili (minced) Fry tokwa then set aside. Mix the liquid seasoning, calamansi, coriander leaves and hot chili. Mix it according to your preference. Serve with rice. Optionally, you can soak the tokwa after the sauce is mixed. Fried Tokwa (Tofu) with Soy Sauce Dip VERDICT WILL:  My tatay (means father in 'Filipino) enthusiastically told me that our Ate Mato came up with a new recipe for tofu. We got curious and Abbey took the ingredients and done it.  Gosh! The newly innovated dip is awesomely savory! The saltiness of soysauce is well blended with calamansi’s sourness. Leaves of coriander gives a resonating aroma.  Yummy! Yummy! Delicious, easy to do and nutritious.

Pizza Hut Singapore - Wow! Take-Away Promotion

ABBEY: We recently “miss” the oily/greasy pan pizza of Pizza Hut. So we headed to their branch at WaterwayPoint (Punggol) and was surprised that they have takeaway promo.  They are offering personal, regular and large pizzas for 5, 10, and 15SGD respectively and you can choose from 19 flavors (2SGD top up for specialty pizza). We had a large size Wild About Mushrooms.  It was cheesy, aromatic and full of flavor. We even came back for a second one, but this time paid 6SGD more to load our crust with more cheese.  Thanks Pizza Hut. Pizza Hut Singapore's Wild About Mushroom  Pizza Hut Singapore - Wow! Take-Away Promotion  WILL:  Abbey reminded me that it seems that we haven’t eaten pizza for months. And yes he is drooling to taste some dough and toppings. Luckily, Pizza Hut is running a promotion for take-aways.  After our ritual running one weekday, we dropped by at Pizza Hut's WaterwayPoint branch.  We went for a flavo...

Four Sigmatic | Mushroom Coffee with Lion's Mane & Chaga

ABBEY: Wilma told me to drink this coffee when I’m studying a data science course. Not that I’ll give all the credits of passing the course and certifications to this coffee but it somehow helped me focus and not get tired in learning.  The aroma itself will wake you up and this is the first coffee I drank straight black. No sugar or cream added just like the instructions in the packet. It taste coffee-bitter but no aftertaste.  Please make note the price is not ordinary. Good thing we got it at a discounted price of S$16.46 per 10 packets. Four Sigmatic, Mushroom Coffee Mix, Think With Lion's Mane & Chaga WILL:  Do you want me to be like a zombie? Forever awake? Give me a simple cup of coffee and you will unlock that chapter of my life. Haha!  I bought Four Sigmatic Mushroom Coffee with Lion's Mane & Chaga for Abbey. Then add the mushrooms, half of the scallions, and kimchi. Put the bacon and rice. Stir until well incorporated. Season with salt and pepper. Serve the rice and top with egg. Garnish with scallions and chilli flakes. Kimchi Fried Rice (볶음밥) Easy VERDICT WILL:  While eating a whole plate of Kimchi Fried Rice at one of the restaurants at Orchard, without thinking, I convinced Abbey that cooking the dish will be an easy-peasy for him.  I was astounded after around 2 weeks he surprised me with that spicy and sour kimchi fried rice.  The v...
