ABBEY: Wilma gave me a treat to celebrate the day we became BF/GF. It was on the DC Comics Cafe at the Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. Since it was all for royalty, the prices soared up compared to cafes offering the same items. Setting it aside, the experience is unique. The child in me is shouting for excitement. Sorry Batman, but Superman is my favorite. I got a burger with nachos and iced chococinno. I liked the patty as it reminds me of the fillings of "lumpiang shanghai" we have back in Philippines. The bun has Superman's emblem as well as the drink. Nothing much difference from other Western restaurant. Beside the cafe are the novelty items for sale.  From time to time it is ok to splurge on those treats. :) WILL:  We are still celebrating our boyfriend/girlfriend anniversary even we are married. ABBEY: We registered in Heath Promotions Board's National Steps Challenge. Aside from getting a step tracker, we also want to know if we can meet the 10,000-steps-a-day.  First two days I'm not able to reach the target. But on the third day I was surprised when I clocked 10k steps. It was an accomplishment for me. Since that day, I was aiming for the goal as I've already did it. I'm hoping and trying my best to be on top of it. WILL: Singapore never fails to make their health projects a fun thing to do.  We are very interested on their National Steps Challenge program and we are so glad to know that we can join it. We download the Healthy 356 app, registered, and collected our step tracker for only $5. ABBEY: My manager and a colleague had decided to have a career move. So as farewell, we planned for a dinner. We booked at Grand Empire at Grand Imperial Hotel. It was on the top storey where the pool also is located. It was a buffet for 19.90SGD per person from Gropoun Deal.  Vegan and non vegan choices were available.  As appetizer, they serve samosa and tandoori chicken. We also had butter chicken and mutton. I ate them with naan and briyani rice. That's all I had. Got no time for others. Sodas, coffees and teas are bottomless. Maybe for my Indian friends the food is not that good, but it satisfied my cravings for Indian food. WILL:  Up to the front, I will tell you that there is not so much varieties of food that you can choose from. But... Yep! A big BUT haha. ABBEY: Financial education is needed now more than ever. Me and my wife read books, watch talks and attend seminars. That's why we were so excited when we knew that Robert Kiyosaki will be having speaking engagement here in Singapore. No more booking of hotels or catching a flight. It was held last November 29 at Resorts World Convention Centre.  I saw parents went with their youngsters exposing them and giving them education at early age. It was a whole day affair, literally. We started at 9AM and stretched until 9:30PM. The facilitator Jason Tyne ensures that the audience is not sleeping as he always asks questions and give exercise routines to the attendees.  All of them are good speakers in their own fields. But there's one thing common in them: to motivate, boost and make you do the act and that is the start. ABBEY: From time to time we need to unwind and get relaxed. So as part of our company's insurance we can avail wellness benefits which include spas. We booked at Damai in Grand Hyatt Singapore. We were given coconut juice before the session and a couple of minutes later we were ushered to our respective rooms. After telling me where to put my things, I took a shower. They have "Japan toilet". The one where the sit is warm and has high-end bidet system with only a push of a button. The masseur is waiting for me to wash my feet and give them pre-massage. I was also asked what oil they should use. I picked the healing one as it smells relaxing and refreshing.  And yes most of the session I'm asleep. The pressure is medium and it is ok for me, not a fan of hard massage. What I liked the most is the foot massage. They were aching before the massage, but after I felt like I'm walking on cushions. 1 pack hotdog with cheese  1 can of tomato sauce  Ketchup  2 big onions  Cut the hotdogs in three-part. Fry until crispy. Set aside in the pan, sauté the sliced onion for 2 minutes. Pour a can of tomato sauce. Simmer.  Once you see tiny bubbles, squeeze ketchup as much as you desire (if you want it sweet). Sprinkle pepper and salt to taste.  Serve hot. VERDICT ABBEY: Yes it is like a spaghetti sauce. But this time the hotdogs were cut into thumb-size pieces. I thought it doesn't go well with rice. I even kidded Wilma that we can use pasta instead of rice. But it was good. It is delicious. Another item was added to our menu.

ABBEY: It's my birthday and I'm entitled to eat for free at Brazil Churasco at Sixth Avenue. Brazil Churasco offers a buffet of succulent meat cuts. We were warmly welcomed by their staff and ushered us to our table. Since it is our first time going there, they explained to us what is offered on that day. We were told to go easy on salad and appetizers for us not get full easily. They have wide range of selection in the salad bar like tuna, olives, pickled green chilli and cherry tomatoes. We also have creamy pumpkin soup and bread. A couple of minutes we're sitted, then the main courses came one by one. First off is the turkey ham and pork sausage. Still munching on those then beef short ribs landed on our plate. After that came the smoked duck breast and the chicken hearts and liver. We dipped those in vinegar with cubed onion and capsicums. ABBEY: By visiting The Nobel Prize : Ideas Changing the World exhibit at ArtScience Museum, I got more knowledge about the coveted award. The founder Alfred Nobel stated on his will that his fortune should be used as prizes for those who excel in 5 categories: chemistry, physics, medicine, literature, peace and economic studies. The gallery displays the winners and laureates as well as the reason why they've been given that honor. Among them were Alexander Fleming (penicillin), Malala Yousafzai, and United Nations. There is also an interactive game in form of a survey of what could be the future Nobel awards. With these breakthroughs, inventions and maintaining peace and harmony the world will become a better place. ABBEY: There's always a long queue on the ticket booth of OCBC Skywalk and since we planned going there on Deepavali, we expected a longer one. Fortunately, no queue by the time we arrived. This means we can have the skywalk by ourselves, have lots of snaps and take the time to be amazed by the view at the top.  A ticket costs 5SGD. It will take 5-10 mins to finish the walk but for us we took it very slow. It was refreshing and enjoyable. WILL:  This is one of the sights that we do not want to go to unless we have tourists on board with us. We walked our way out from Marina Bay Sands The Shoppes to Gardens by the Bay. And our aim is the OCBC Skywalk.  For only $5 each. You can see from the top the beauty of flora and fauna of the Multi-awarded garden/park of Singapore. You can have a great spot to take the MBS Hotel as your backdrop on your photos. I think we stayed there for 30 minutes. Why? We are just staring at the beautifully arranged garden b...

ABBEY: Wilma's siblings love to have thrilling activities. So she booked them the Panther package of Megazip. With that they can do wall climbing and zipline. None of us reached the top except Wilma as our arms and legs are burning and screaming with pain :)  After our futile attempts on the wall we climbed the tower to the start of the line. The zipline is 450m long and 75m high and 3 persons can go at a time. It was fun and the view is breathtaking. Don't worry about your things. The staff will collect it before you head to the zipline and will be given to you at the end of the ride. Videos and photos are available for your souvenir. WILL:  This is one of the exciting part of my siblings trip in here. Why? ABBEY: Haha, I told my in-laws not to have breakfast as we will be having buffet at Buffet Town in Raffles City Mall. Yes, they contained their hunger and we only waited a couple of minutes for the restaurant to open and then game on. My first plate had baked fish fillet with mozarella toppings and pizza. Then I tried their sushi and sashimi. I got a not pleasant experience with one of their chef. I asked for a plate of sashimi which I got. A couple of minutes I asked again and this time it is for my brother. I didn't know that my brother wants it. Then the chef asked me, "for one or two?" in a sarcastic note. It is as if he doesn't want me to come back again and again. Hello?! That's why it is a buffet. You get little portion and come back if you want more. Avoid food wastage. Anyways that chef cannot stop me from enjoying the food and having a good mood. I also had pork, chicken and beef satays, sauted beef in ginger and onion, and ice cream. The buffet...

ABBEY: What Singapore did with Madame Tussauds gallery is that they bundled it with Images of Singapore. I don't know if the guests can have the option to directly go to Wax Museum or not but it would be better to go to Images of Singapore first. It is 40-minute live show that presents Singapore's beginning and future plans. Then you will be riding a boat and see Singapore icons like The Singapore Flyer, Marina Bay Sands, and F1 Grand Prix. Political figures will greet you at the first stop on the museum. It includes US President Barack Obama, Mao Zhe Dhong, Queen Elizabeth, Singapore's own Lee Kwan Yew and Kwa Geok Choo, PM Lee, and Singapore First President Yusof bin Ishak. Next are the sports superstars like Yao Ming, David Beckham, and Tiger Woods.  I also had a pose with local artist Gurmit Singh. ABBEY:  When I saw the trailer to the newest sequel on Bond franchise, I find it interesting. From the time Daniel Craig became Agent 007 the story revolved on Bond's personal life. Maybe there are just too many instances where the villains' plans were thwarted by him so they are getting their revenge.  As usual the gadgets being used as agents are cool as well as the cars. And the actions and the explosions on Spectre leveled-up compared with the previous ones. That's why they bagged a Guinness World Record.  Still I'm not over the fact the the agent fell in love and being saved by his girls multiple times.
