Best Spa in Bulacan: The Cotton Trees Spa Review Near Guiguinto

ABBEY: When Wilma and I returned to the Philippines for a vacation, she was technically working from abroad. Her workspace was far from ideal, so after a client meeting, we decided to treat ourselves to some relaxation. We headed to Cotton Trees Spa, which is listed as Bulacan’s top spa on TripAdvisor.

The spa has its own building, lot, and parking space, which piqued my curiosity—I wondered if the service would live up to the impressive facade. The moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by a refreshing minty aroma that set the tone for the experience. We were guided to a foot-washing station where we sipped on ginger tea, a lovely start to what was to come.

The massage was exactly what my aching body needed. The therapist applied just the right amount of pressure and incorporated multiple stretches that soothed all my pain points. It was pure bliss.

A little tip: make sure to book an appointment ahead of time. We got lucky visiting during off-peak hours and didn’t have to wait or getting turned down as they are fully booked.

WILL: Finding a quality massage spa in Bulacan can be a challenge, especially when many are combined with salons that might leave you hesitant to spend your money. However, one spa that stands out from the rest is The Cotton Trees Spa—even though it's a bit of a drive from my father-in-law's house, it was well worth the trip.

We indulged in the 90-minute Cotton Trees Signature Massage (Php 2,080), and it truly delivered a premium spa experience. From the moment we arrived, we were treated to a warm welcome with a hot lemon ginger tea and a relaxing water wash. The ambiance was serene, complemented by a symphony of soothing melodies.

As for the massage, it was exceptional. The masseuse focused on my shoulder area, expertly working out all the tension and knots. The back stretching and the application of hot aromatic herbal balls added to the relaxation, warming my entire body and leaving me feeling rejuvenated.

Would I visit The Cotton Trees Spa again? Absolutely! If you're in the Bulacan area, particularly near Guiguinto, I highly recommend checking it out. The spa is conveniently located just a few steps from the "Welcome to Guiguinto" Arc.

Why Physio Spa Should Be on Your Must-Visit List in the Philippines

ABBEY: Whenever we return to the Philippines, we make it a priority to find a good spa to unwind. This time, our search on Facebook led us to a gem—The PhysioSpa in Banawe, Quezon City. Though the VIP rooms with showers and saunas were fully booked, we opted for the non-VIP ones, and they did not disappoint.

The massage was truly transformative. I’ve struggled with back pain for a while, but after just one session, it felt like a weight was lifted. All my joints, especially in my back, were expertly popped, leaving me feeling refreshed and recharged.

The experience was so good that we ended up going twice, both times with our loved ones. It's safe to say that we’ll definitely be back for more. If you’re looking for a place to unwind and reset, The PhysioSpa is a must-visit.

WILL: Every time Abbey and I visit the Philippines, getting a massage is a must. Why? The answer is simple: quality massages here are incredibly affordable. While we always keep an eye out for new spas to try, this time we decided to experience Physio Spa.

Physio Spa offers a clean environment, though it leans more towards a transactional vibe rather than a cozy, homey atmosphere. But when it comes to the massage itself, they are a solid 10/10. We opted for the 90-minute PhysioSpa Signature Massage, and it felt like being lifted onto a cloud of relaxation.

The difference lies in the expertise of their masseuses, who seem to have knowledge of chiropractic techniques. Beyond just a standard massage, they provide a satisfying cracks on my joints releasing tension and adding to the overall sense of relaxation.

For just Php1,300, you get a 90-minute massage with chiropractic elements. Our answer is a resounding yes! If you go, be sure to ask for Cindy—she’s the best!

The Spa Wellness at TriNoma

ABBEY: With so much stress and pressure from our last apartment project, we booked for a massage at The Spa (Trinoma) for me, Wilma and Ate Sol.

I chose Aromatherapy (lavender oil) Swedish massage. I washed before the session and had a cup of ginger tea. My masseur hit all the right spots that I want to feel relaxed and I even slept. It was so good when I heard my back crack as well as my neck. I felt I was more “aligned” after the massage.

I had two more ginger tea and I’m done.

WILL: We put a lot of stress on my sister’s shoulders and for her to relax, Abbey and I went to The Spa for some muscle kneading!

The Spa is one of somewhat a luxury spa in Manila. We booked at their TriNoma branch, Ate Sol and I requested for a deep tissue massage.

Upon getting inside the place, you can feel its serenity. The shower area is clean and sad to say that the steamroom is not available that time. The locker is spacious but I find it quite unhygienic that I need to put my shoes together with my stuffs inside it.

The massage did not satisfy me nor relax me. Why? The massage area is very-very cold! Even the masseuse turned off the AC it is still cold and stiffens my body even more! And I requested for deep tissue massage but Ms Joy seems to have no energy to knead my aching muscle. Huhu.

Abbey and Ate Sol are totally satisfied with their massages. Well, maybe they have the good masseurs. Hmp!

Worth to visit and experience. But be clear on how hard your massage will be.

Marina Bay Spa and Lifestyle Club - Mall of Asia Complex

ABBEY: You want to have a body massage which also includes a buffet? Head now to Marina Bay Spa and Lifestyle. We availed their promo for 1500Php only. That’s definitely a deal.

This is my last hurrah before going back to work. They offer shower, sauna, steam room, cold and hot pools before the massage. Bathrobe and shorts were also provided as well as dental and shaving kits.

The place is serene and relaxing. I really like the warm bean-bag-like-strip placed on my nape and back. I slept a little during the massage session.

An hour later I found myself at the table eating jap chae (Korean stir-fried glass noodles), siomai, dumplings, soy chicken while sipping berry-flavored teas.

We also spent sometime in lazy-boys at the lounge. If not for my flight we would have gone for another round of food. Hahaha.

Thanks Marina Bay Spa and Lifestyle.

WILL: Abbey will be the last one to leave Manila. 12pm we checked-out at The Heritage Hotel and instead to sit and wait for 7pm at NAIA Terminal 3, we opted to stay at Marina Bay Spa and Lifestyle Club. It was located just a block away from SM Mall of Asia.

We arrived around 1pm and without a reservation haha! Luckily, there are available masseurs by 130pm. With that 30-minute leeway, I spend it using their facilities like hot pool and sauna(swimming attire only). Please remember to clean-up before using those! Oh! Did I mentioned that their showers were complemented by Shiseido Line? Great right?

While in sauna, an attendant approached and stated that my room is ready. Excited with my Sports Massage! How was it? Yes! It is a deep tissue massage. The masseur totally felt what aching part to be kneaded. My shoulders and my foot! Yeahbah! Oh! The hot compress put on to my back is a BLAST! Hayyyy! Sarap!

After 1 hour of total relaxation, I went to their dining area. Abbey is already munching there! Haha! What I love on that buffet? The siomai!! They keep on replenishing the steamer, I keep on getting the siomai! Haha! The selections of tea is quite amusing too!

It is too early for us to go to the airport. We walked out from the dining area and just sat and lounge at their "viewing area". Too cold in there? Get some free coffee or tea.

We left the premises around 430pm. Just enough time for Abbey.

So instead of paying a lounge at the airport. Here at Marina Bay you will pay only Php1500 for massage and buffet. Beat the traffic and spend quality time with your loved ones at this quality, clean and luxurious spa.

Ace Water Spa (Pasig City, Philippines)

ABBEY: Tatay 's birthday falls in April and it is summertime in Philippines. To beat the heat, we schedule to go to Ace Water Spa in Pasig. We were there 7AM and we're really excited to have fun at the water. I'm glad that there are less people by the time we arrived.

We enjoyed the spa treatments multiple times. I really liked the Rainfall Acupuncture; the pricking sensation is relaxing. I also tried their herbal pool where I stayed in the 38 degree one then cool down in the cold pool as well as the 8-nozzle shower.
Sauna and steam bath is also there. We had fun in the Bucket Splash and also in the lazy river.

I also got foot and back massages. A person cost Php550.00 and can stay for 4 hours. They are strict in swimming attire; only cycling, trunks, swim shirt, bathing suit. Baby diapers are required for kids below 3. All of the attires can also be rented for 100/150 pesos. Bring your own towel or rent at your own risk. I hope they can provide more good smelling towels.

WILL: As a culture on my family side, every April-May, we are going for an excursion. But time is not enough for all of us so Abbey and I decided to go to Ace Water Spa at Pasig for a 4-hour fun in the water plus relaxation. No snooze at all from our flight, we directly headed to Pasig.

I have been to Ace and this will be my fourth. I am shocked to know that there is not a free towel for us to use. I do not know if my brain is serving me right but I know that there is a towel for the guests when I visited their first branch around 2008. Oh! There is no free cup of soup after your hydro-massage too. Tsk! Tsk! Anyways, we ended-up visiting this branch because I heard a lot of complaints of my relatives on their Quezon City branch.

Pasig Branch is pretty small compared to their QC but the odor of the chlorine is less intense. We where there around 7AM and not so many people is hanging around and we literally enjoyed each part of the pool. My favorite? The jet Chair with Foot Massage. It targets the side of my tummy area, my thighs and high pressure on feet area. Kids keep coming back at ice cold pool just in front of herbal pool.

After 3 hours of dipped on the pool, I decided to go upstairs at their resting area, I snooze for another hour.

Kids and adults enjoyed this 4-hour bonding we had.

Special thanks to Belle De Jour Planner for a free 2 vouchers. :)

Nami Resort's Spa and Massage Services - Best Spa in Boracay

ABBEY: Nami Spa is at the West part of Boracay, yes at Station 1. Beforehand we already knew that they are offering massage services. So we rode a tricycle and went there. The reception is at the top of the hill. You need to ride their elevator which is the kind of lift used when a building is being built. But you can't contest the interior; it was good.

A couple spa costs Php1980 and yes they accept major credit cards. We were guided to a room where we can see the beautiful view of sunset and sea, plus the full moon during that time.

I forgot what happened after I jumped onto the bed as directly went to slumber land. At the end of massage session, they applied peppermint ointment which made our bodies more warm and menthol-cool effect as we inhale. It was relaxing. They also gave us a cup of delicious ginger tea.

I really wanted to sleep right there but we need to go back to our hotel.

WILL: The range of massages at the beach is Php300 and up. But if you want some privacy and some quite moment while lingering the kneading session you need to pay more.

Massage is so popular in Boracay that almost every corner has an establishment that offers it. It ranges from Php1500 and up to staggering amount of Php7000+. Expensive it is. But of course, we will definitely look for a cheaper alternative. So we headed to Nami Resort.

Nami is located at Diniwind Beach which is 5 minute walk from station 1, but we chose to hail a tricycle for our convenience.

We were shocked to see the magnificent view in front of us. Nami Resort is located on a hill. From the beach, you need to take their stairs, press on a buzzer and a unique elevator will come down to fetch you uphill.

After our mini sessions with Mother Nature, the masseurs came to us and informed that we are about to start. Then they lead us in a couple's room that overlooked the beach. Awesome!

Enough with the view. The massage? Well, I heard Abbey snoring. That sentence maybe enough? Ha! Ok! My masseur concentrated on my neck and shoulder. Oh gosh! She knew where my pain and anxiety is coming from. After the massage a peppermint was applied to my back and chest. It gave me a sense of relief.

After our 1-hour session they served hot ginger tea. Soooooothing!!

I hope this blog will help tourists in Boracay where they need to run when they need a massage with an excellent service, view and romantic aura.

HCC (Hilot Care Cilinc) Wellness Center & Spa

ABBEY: Wilma is a fan of massage therapy. So when we we're still in boyfriend-girlfriend stage, we made an appointment for a session of whole body massage on HCC Spa at West Avenue, Quezon City.

I got relaxed and satisfied for most of the massage sessions we had there unlike Wilma who is complaining that the masseur didn't give much pressure on her muscles.

A body massage costs Php350. They also have promos for each month. Just ask at the reception.

WILL: I am their loyal customer since their HumanEssence days. When you are dealing with the Bureau of Customs in Philippines, you can easily justify that you need a pampering every other week. Hehe!

Everytime that hubby and I went to Manila I am making sure to make an appointement with them. The quality of the massage, the cleanliness and masseures kindness and skills never changed. They have a free tea or coffee for you to enjoy.

A tip: go there before 5pm to avail their early bird promo and for you to avoid the long waiting hour.

Wensha Spa - Pasay City (24 Hours Open)

ABBEY: After our adventure in Cebu and arrived in Manila we went directly from the airport to Wensha spa in Pasay. The place was jam-packed as it was a holiday. After a couple of minutes we are in the start of the line for payment. One person costs including the use of jacuzzi, sauna, shower, hot and cold pool. We were each given and locker for personal belongings, fresh towel, robe, and slippers. We changed clothes and hit the shower and pools. A new experience for me to dip in nudist pools. I didn't got the time to use sauna as my body wanted to lay down and have a massage. Ginger-infused oil was used on me and it gave me a warm and relaxing feeling. I started to snore as I went into slumberland. Sadly, the massage session ended.

I woke up and went to buffet table to recharge. Afritada, pancit canton, vegetable salad, fried sweet potato and soup were served during our visit. After eating, we changed clothes again and went home. Areas to improve; lessen the noise of masseurs waiting in massage area and clean the couch in spa lobby. I saw an adult cockroach roaming in it.

WILL: Well, this is a fascinating buzz in the spa business, Wensha as one of the most loved spa. And here is my view not by smudging other reviews but to clear and be true.
Abbey and I set up this occasion to bond with my siblings and after they picked us up at NAIA Terminal 2 we straight go their Pasay branch.
Astonished that there is so many people on queue to do some relaxation and shabu-shabu buffet. We took our lockers and walked-in to their all girls jacuzzi, steam bath, showers. I am pretty shocked that some girls just walking around wearing their birthday suit. No! I never dropped off my towel. Ha!ha!
After minutes of steam bath, I took a long hot shower then went to the other side of the building to get some kneading. Surprise number two, their walls is very dirty. So dirty I can see it even the the room  is not well lit. Shivering cold was felt and I thought I am the only feeling it, but when my masseur came in, she also complain how cold the air conditioning was. 4th surprise, every room have 2 beds and they never had any curtain for the privacy of the clients. The massage is not good, it seems that the lady is very tired.
Shabu-shabu is not that nice nor bad. We took this opportunity for some picture taking and some stories were told. For around P900 we had experienced this. Wensha must do some serious renovation in their place and train their masseurs even lot more.

Mont Albo Massage Hut

ABBEY: John and Denise gave us this spa session as wedding gift. The spa is in the basement of University Hotel inside UP Diliman. The treatment is 750php (an hour of body massage and scrub) plus the ventosa add-on for less than 100php. Its very relaxing. That was the first time I had ventosa. Circle marks were at my back for a week. It was a rejuvenating experience for me and my wife.

WILL:
When I am at Malaysia, John told me to have a massage that uses glasses. Haha! Ventosa it is! So Right there and then, I agreed and as our vacation comes near, I keep on asking Den about it. Siguro nakulitan, haha, she told me that it will be her treat for us. Hehe. Thanks Den and John, you have a kind heart!

Actually they do not treat us for massage only, that session goes along with body scrub, massage and the "lamig-sucker" ... the ventosa
The session last for almost 2 hours. The massage is great. The ventosa? Very good experience.
Almost all were a nice impression until... I am at their dresser putting some make-up, of course I will turn-on the lights, them one of the masseur came clicking the lights off. Weird isn't?  Kailangan lagi patay ang ilaw? The oil left a strong scent on our clothes.
This is located at downstairs of UP Hotel. Again! Thanks John, Denise and Janise! We really do love you guys!
