Legoland Malaysia Hotel's Kingdom Themed Suite Review

ABBEY: Our first visit to Legoland was memorable, but due to budget constraints, we only managed to explore the theme and water parks. However, 2024 brought a new experience as we finally got the chance to stay at the Legoland Hotel, and not just any room—we booked the Kingdom Themed Suite.

To our delight, even though check-in was officially at 4 PM, we were able to settle into our suite as early as 9 AM. From the moment we stepped into the disco elevator, which plays "Everything is Awesome," we knew we were in for a treat. The fun continued as we walked through the 2-car lane hallway leading to our room, where I couldn't help but feel like royalty in a castle.

Our suite was massive, with a spacious living room that seamlessly connected to the dining area. It boasted a master bedroom, two bunk beds, and two bathrooms, offering plenty of space for everyone. The view of the theme park from our window was simply breathtaking.

One of the highlights was watching my nephew solve the combination to the vault in our room, which unlocked a special Lego prize. After a full day of fun at the theme park, we enjoyed a relaxing dinner together and capped off the night with a movie. The entire stay was nothing short of fantastic-it truly was awesome!

WILL: Are you a LEGO fan? My brothers and cousins loved LEGO, but my sister and I weren’t that interested. Nowadays, even more kids—including girls—are building with LEGO. Is LEGO just a trend, or has it become the most fun toy for everyone? You decide!

Want to know a secret? Going to Legoland on a weekday is a smart idea. Why? Because fewer people means shorter lines and more time to explore!

Abbey booked the Kingdom Suite, which was HUGE! It had two bunk beds for kids, a king-size bed for the grown-ups, two bathrooms (one made just for kids with a bathtub), and even a dining and living room. The best part? The view of the Legoland Park from our room!

The bed? Super comfy! There was even a "rolling amenities" cart that knocked on doors asking if we needed more water or extra supplies. That was so cool! The breakfast was yummy, with food like nasi lemak, noodles, and pancakes. But Thor and Annika were a bit sad there were no chicken nuggets—what’s up with that?

Even though Thor and Annika had so much fun, after one night, we started to wonder: Would staying longer be as exciting? Sometimes one night is just enough!

Here’s something to think about: staying at Legoland Hotel costs RM2,420 per night for four adults and two kids. That’s a lot of money! So, before you ask your parents to book, think about whether you’d enjoy just one night or if you want something longer and more lasting.

So, is Legoland Malaysia worth it for you? Would you have tons of fun, or is the price too high for just one night of adventure? Get your parents thinking—and maybe you’ll be on your way to Legoland soon!

ALOFT® | Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

ABBEY: Aloft KL is our hotel of choice for our recent Malaysia escapade. We were not given an early checkin but they were able to store our luggages until we got our room. The hotel lounge and lobby are spacious. Guests can play games, get into their business staff, drink in the bar or just lazy out to one of their couches.

My father also got a birthday greeting from them. The room, sheets and pillows are clean. What I really like is their french press. That’s different from the usual automatic coffee machine. I need to make the coffee on my own.

Our stay includes buffet breakfast and the food didn’t disappoint. I enjoyed a couple of plates of pakora, bacon, sausages, iddly, prata, nasi lemak and fried rice. We enjoyed and got relaxed during our stay.

WILL: Abbey is a member of Marriott Bonvoy! And that is reason why we always booked our accommodation when we are out of Singapore. Marriott has a good variety fleet of hotels under their wings and one of them is Aloft.

Aloft is in a good location, it is in KL Sentral. They have their own passage connected from the KL Sentral Station! Nice right? Since there is no available room for our requested early check-in, we left our luggages and fled to go to the tourist destinations.

It is Papa RS’ bday week and Aloft surprised him with a ‘Happy Bday’ banner, balloon, and a cake. Awwwww! How sweet! We booked two (2) twin rooms. And we are astounded by the room lay-out. The closet is inside the bathroom area. To save spaces they used sliding doors.

They offer not an ordinary coffee but a coffee grounds for your french press coffee maker. Their toiletries aroma is amazing and soothes our tired and sweaty skin. Haha. Bed gives us a lovely slumber after a day of kilometres of walks.

They have the infinity pool that gives a nice view of the KL Sentral. They provided fruit infused waters.

The buffet breakfast makes us happy and full until our lunchtime. Haha! My favourite there is the wide array of fruits! Rambutan, wintermelon and freshly squeezed fruits.

Different hotels of Marriott Bonvoy offers unique attitudes! Explore what suits are best for you. 🤗

Bello and Bella Boutique Hotel and what to do in Cheras KL Malaysia

ABBEY: We stayed for a day at Bello and Bella Boutique Hotel after coming from Cameron Highlands. It is a 15-20-minute cab ride from KL Sentral. We were warmly welcomed by Yaya as we wait for check-in time. As it is a boutique hotel our room is a compact one; but it has bathtub as well as a skyroof. The bed is soft and the sheets are clean. That is enough for us to have a good sleep.

There’s a nearby mall (Cheras Leisure Mall) from the hotel and we decided to take a look. We had dinner at Simple Life - Tracy’s Kitchen; a vegetarian restaurant. I got their version of Nasi Lemak with multi-grain rice. I can say that they “tricked” my eyes. It was Nasi Lemak without the chicken :)

We had salted egg tart from Mr. Chizu for dessert. The price is way cheaper than we had in Singapore. It is creamy and the base is a bit crunchy.

Bello and Bella Boutique Hotel

WILL: After our short cold-escape at Cameron Highlands, we went to Cheras to feel the vibe at one of the longest night market in KL. Sadly, we learned that it is only open on a Wednesday night. To alleviate the frustration, we just pigged out at the Cheras Leisure Mall mall just behind our hotel Bello and Bella.

For dinner we dined at Simple Life Healthy Vegetarian Restaurant. Yes! It is healthy because it is all vegetables. Yes again! It is so delicious! All veggie laksa! How they do that? Taste seemingly surpassed the real laksa without guilt feeling of eating a big bowl of it.

We roam just outside of Leisure Mall and found Comfort. They are offering a foot reflex. Oh my! We are longing for this for months and we cease it this time! How was it? As usual, it is not good enough for me. Haha! The masseur is not hitting the right spot. The pressure was hard but at the wrong point. Abbey?! As usual, happy and satisfied! Haha!

After the massage, Abbey ordered coffee, we bought some snacks, and cones of McDonald's ice cream.

The perfect Salted Egg Tart (which we ate for breakfast), saltines, creaminess and the crispy tart dough.. just nice with my cup of tea. "Bundat" to the max!

Before I forgot! The Bello and Bella experience was superb. I feel at home into this Boutique Hotel because of their staff Yaya. I felt that she is a sister to me. Weird right? Hehe. The room is space-constrained but still reasonable. Because Abbey and I love sunlight, we opted to stay at their Deluxe Sky View Queen Room. But we do not have enough time to enjoy the cute bathtub and the sky view! Argh! The shampoo/shower gel in one have this aroma that is quite relaxing. No free breakfast but you can go to the lobby and take a unlimited coffee and tea and socialise with other hotel guests. Lovely boutique hotel! Very recommendable!

Sheraton Petaling Jaya Hotel | Malaysia Luxury Hotel‎

ABBEY: Sheraton Hotel became our home for our 3-day stay at Kuala Lumpur. We arrived before lunch and after a couple of minutes, we got our room already.

Entering and seeing our private place gave me a feeling of luxury; wide-screen television, a big bed, and toilet and bathtub. We also got the chance to use their gym. It’s clean and I’m able to flex my muscles again after eating delicious food of Malaysia.

The pool is adjacent to a bar and it is not recommended to swim at night or you want to risk your health from second-hand smoke. That defeats the purpose of dipping into water while enjoying the view of KL from the top.

Buffet breakfast came with our package. I enjoyed the dumplings, siew mai, beef bacon, nasi lemak and eggs and salmon.

Sheraton Petaling Jaya Hotel | Malaysia Luxury Hotel‎

WILL: We are torn between Sheraton Petaling Jaya and Hilton and of course because Abbey is a proud member of SPG, we decided to book 3D2N at Sheraton PJ!

Surprised, we found out that there are floors at the hotel dedicated only for SPG members! Flattering! One more thing! Again! We were early checked-in without extra cost.

What's inside our room? The usual SPG Hotels! A comfy bed and pillow, complimentary bottles of water, coffee, tea. We didn't expect to have a bathtub for the cheapest room they offer. They have unusual huge television and the amazingly fragrant of their bath toiletries.

For the buffet! Meat is all over. Yup they are HALAL certified. What I have enjoyed at their breakfast? Salmon and baked tomato. Oh the chocolate muffins and their breads! Yummy! Don't forget to have a yogurt for the day!

You will never have a bad day while staying in Sheraton Petaling Jaya. The staffs not only smile or nod but always greet us a happy day!

Thanks for sheltering us for 2-Nights at KL!

Hope to see you again!

Avillion Cameron Highlands Malaysia

ABBEY: Avillion is a newly-opened hotel at Cameron Highlands and we’re glad they accommodated us for a night stay on a discounted price.

We got a spacious room with a large bed, a bathtub and the works. I like how soft their pillows are and I got a good night sleep. It also included breakfast for each guest; kway teow, porridge, fried rice, eggs, sausage and toast.

There are nearby establishments in the hotel like bar, grocery, money changer and restaurant where we ordered our pizza for late night snack.

The bus terminal going to Kuala Lumpur is a 15-minute walk from the hotel.

Avillion Cameron Highlands Malaysia

WILL: In Cameron Highlands, the famous choices will be Strawberry Park Resort or Heritage Hotel or Copthorne Hotel . I always pick out a new hotel/hostel and because we are lucky and blessed, haha!, we found Avillion Cameron Highlands.

Avillion is a newly built hotel that runs a 50% off promotion. For only S$82.11, we got a huge room with comfy-clean bed, bathroom with rainfall shower, and separate sink for your utensils. Of course no air condition was provided. The downside, we were placed at the side of a street where too many bars are located. Until 12mn, there are people merrymaking! Even the windows are close, you can still hear the noise.

With S$82.11, a simple breakfast buffet was provided. Kway teow, porridge, bread and spreads, nasi lemak, fruits and hot drinks.

The place is recommendable maybe you can ask for a room that is an "inner" room.

Thanks Avillion for accommodating us for a night!

Element Kuala Lumpur - Luxury Studio & Suites

ABBEY: You’ll be able to enjoy perks and discounts if you’re a member of SPG (Starwood Preferred Guest). What do we got for our stay at Elements? First, a 500MYR room rate with king-sized bed with a view; complete with spa shower, wide screen tv, internet and includes breakfast. For another 60MYR, it was upgraded to a room with skyline view.

Element Hotel knows how to pamper their guests. Upon filling up the reservation form, we specified if we can leave our bags early in the morning so our day-tour will be light. Then the day itself, we were able to check-in by 7AM. Wow, earliest check-in I had.

The room is clean and the toiletries smell good. I was refreshed after my shower. After a long day, it was time to rest. The bed is very comfortable and the pillows and linens are soft. I dozed off in no time.

The morning meal is great. Lots of choices; laksa, nasi lemak, sausages, grilled tomatoes, bacon, eggs, cold cuts, and fruits.

They also have gym and swimming pool at 39th floor which we used before checking out. It was a wonderful experience. I would like to commend their staff for superb service.

WILL: Abbey, a proud member of SPG (Starwood Preferred Guest) took the opportunity to book on KL’s newly opened hotel, the Elements Kuala Lumpur by Westin. Being a member, you can get a slight difference at the price of a room BUT you will have for sure to get a special treatment.

Element’s lobby is at the 40th floor and their rooms starts from 41st to 53rd floor. Our upgraded room is at 52nd. Abbey, upgraded the room and he is expecting that our bathroom may have a bathtub, but it didn’t. They provided a pleasant array of toiletries. The shampoo and body wash are fantastically fragrant. They supply lotion too!

It is facing the Petronas Twin Towers but another p building blocked one of those. Argh! The pillow and bed is so soft that it moulds and hugs our body to a good night sleep. Oh! They do not have bottled water on their fridge but they have a filtered tap water for you to enjoy their complimentary tea and coffee. Their tv is usb ready, you can charge your phones in there.

Don’t forget to visit their gym or try their free yoga sessions. The indoor saline pool excites not only the adults because of the view of Petronas but also the kids too.

Trace restaurant is open for a buffet breakfast and of course we indulge at Local food. I am so full, I forgot to take some granola treat and soya milk. Haha!

Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay. Hey! One more thing. We push our luck if we can make an early check-in by 7am through SPG website and when we reached the Element Kuala Lumpur by 8am, our room is there waiting for us. Satisfied and happy couple here!

Thanks Element Kuala Lumpur! Thanks to all smiling staff! We love you!
