Max Brenner Chocolate Bar

ABBEY: We didn't got a chance to visit Max Brenner's branch in Trinoma. Last time we checked in Vivo they're already close for the day. Good thing that when we were searching for a cafe after our meal at Malaysian Food Street, it was open.

I got to try their Milk Chocolate. It taste like swiss miss but with richer in flavor and creamier. The hot beverage comes in a odd-shaped cup that I don't know how to drink from it. JP got a milkshake which is served in a unique tall glass. Prices of which starts from 6.90SGD. Aside from chocolate concoctions they also have waffles and ice creams.

WILL: After filling up our stomach in Malaysian Street Food at Resorts World Sentosa and after walking around on that Island, we headed back to VivoCity Mall.

Of course, before going back, we must have some drink to seat in. Unlike we planned to go for a coffee, I asked Abbey to taste the Max Brenner's chocolate drinks.

Their branch at VivoCity is a nice place to ask a lady for a date. Lights is in a romantic mood and the place is serene unlike the coffee shops always packed with people.

My tummy is so full that even a cup of hot drink will not be accepted by digestive system to go in. Haha.. Impacho! Abbey ordered a milk chocolate that was served in a hug mug. That mug has no handle and will make to use both of your hands to drink from it. Curious about the mug and how Abbey describes the drink, I wrapped around my hands to that hug mug, feel the hotness of chocolate drink through that ceramic thingy then I sipped, then sipped, and sipped again. Shocks! My brain commanded my tummy to give way for this hot drink! I love this drink, its like I am drinking my favorite chocolate... Cadbury!

CBTL Machine

ABBEY: We got this coupon from magazine distributed at Romancing U movie night. The coupon offers a cup of nespresso coffee. The coffee tastes good; same as like fresh ground coffee.

The staff asked us if we want to buy the machine but we said no as it is too expensive. Maybe sometime.

WILL: Then, we got a coupon from Her World Magazine. Finally, we can have a sample taste of this new invent coffee maker. As Nescafe introduces this to public, I am very curious to taste this.

Thanks to coffee bean but no thanks, my opinion was solidfy by this sampling. The taste, just like a ordinary 3-in-1 coffee.

1-Altitude

ABBEY: This is at the 63rd floor of One Raffles Place. Atie invited us to chill on this bar which gives 360-degree view of Marina Bay.

Entrance fee is 25sgd on weekdays and 30sgd on weekends; inclusive of 1 drink. Free for all ladies on Wednesday night. Attire is smart casual; no shorts, slippers or flip-flop.

We tried their portable mushroom pizza (20sgd ++) and spicy platter (30sgd ++). The food was good. It’s better to have reservation so you can have table and seat while munching the cocktail treats.

WILL: I am so dumb to think that Marina Bay Sands SkyPark is the highest building I can go here in Singapore, damn! When I got here at 1-Altitude, well its name speaks for itself. Ha!, I can see the MBS a bit smaller than where we are.

I went here when Atie, her husband and Grace asked us to go a night-out. Its Wednesday night.. Ladies Night! So no entrance fee for the girls but the regular fee was $25.00 with a free drink, you can choose from their juices, soda and mojitos.

The view is so perfect and the best time to go there is on sunset, around 7PM and wait until the lights of Singapore glow the night off. This is a great place for some relax chatting with your colleagues and friends, as the winds gently hitting your body and sound of bossa nova band at the background. But if you are like a mad man for a party, hit 1-Altitude 10PM onwards, as the disco music slammed the dance floor.

A very great experience, you can find this place just beside the Raffles MRT exit A.

Go here, enjoy 360 degrees view of Singapore on the highest level!

Clipper - Detox Tea

ABBEY: Ok, this is one of my favorite tea. This is a detox tea with infusion of berries. Strong aroma fills my workspace and my colleagues asks only one thing "Where does it come from?". It has a good taste and the leaves will not burn easily even soaked for a long time. A 20-packet box costs less than 8sgd.

WILL: I am glad Abbey is turning to be a tea drinker, absolutely i will support him. After office, I went to Cold Storage VivoCity to look for some tea infusions that I think he will love.  Well, I am right, he fell in love this Clipper's Tea detox infusion. Aroma and taste made myself proud that I will never fail to taste of tea in just reading the ingredients. Haha!
This cost $8 per box of 20. :)

Waitrose LOVE life - dandelion, fennel & ginger infusion tea bags

ABBEY: This tea us a fusion of fennel seeds, dandelion and ginger. Once a sachet is soaked in a cup of hot water, good aroma fills the air. As you drink it ginger taste is dominant but has a sweet after-taste.

WILL: Abbey's is in the process of turning his back to coffee and transforming his self to be a tea drinker. Step-by-step, little-by-little he drinks flavored tea without sugar. So my duty is to look for something sweet concoction of tea leaves.
Then I saw this Waitrose Love Life consists of Dandelion (25%)Fennel (20%)Ginger Root (20%)Liquorice Root (20%)Nettle (15%). The strong aroma and sweet fennel taste never fails me to surprise Abbey. This will be a great choice for the beginners.
Love the taste, this costs $6.00 at Cold Storage

London Fruit and Herb Company Tea

ABBEY: Another batch of tea to taste. I tried the one they named "Strawberry and Vanilla fool". The taste is good and has strong fruity aroma. Soak the tea for 5 minutes in a cup of hot water. Be sure to partner it with your bread or cookie.

WILL: Holland and Barret offers not only supplements, they offer also tea. Since Abbey is a Jay Gee Member, we have two boxes with discounts, bought one box for only $4.00.
The aroma is amazing, inviting. The taste, nothing special. But, it really soothing feeling after a drink. I had this for my breakfast and before I go to sleep. Recommendable!

Dilmah New Flavored Tea

ABBEY:
We have tried Dilmah's tea last year but only the normal flavors. This time its the fusion. I tried "rose with french vanilla"; very rich in aroma and also "peppermint and english toffee". Both tea taste great and each one has a distinct refreshing flavor. One tip: like other teas, make sure to dip the bag for the right amount of time else the leaves will be burned and gave a bitter taste.

WILL:  Dilmah introduces new set of tea flavors! Of course, as tea lover, I will not be left behind. Hehe. Dilmah tea was manufactured at Sri Lanka, all i thought eh this is from India.
Well, the new concoction is bursting with flavor and the aroma makes us crave to drink it, hmmm, even hot. Haha.
Thanks dilmah for those samples. We will surely recommend this to our tea lover friends.  :)

Kopiko Brown Coffee

ABBEY:
I like their candy during my elementary days. I still remember their advertisement "If you want coffee and you don't have the time, treat yourself with Kopiko; coffee candy Kopiko". And I was surprised when they venture into instant coffee business. The coffee has a good aroma. It tastes creamy and has strong flavor. Each pack contains less than 25 sachets. This serves as an alternate for my usual cup of coffee.

WILL: Well, Kopiko is famous for being the first candy flavored coffee and damn its so good and its not a surprise for me that they came up to an idea to produce an instant 3-in-1 coffees.
What's the difference of this Kopiko Brown Coffee to others? They use brown sugar rather than white. Its awesome...at first, but when it settled in, you can taste the burnt flavor of coffee beans. Oh, my heart never palpitates and it never affects my sleep.

ChekHup Ipoh White Coffee

ABBEY: I got surprised when I first tried the coffee; the flavor is strong. Usually I fill my cup with 3/4 water but with this it should full to have a good concoction. No need to add more sugar as the sweetness is at the right level. I experimented by adding to sachets of creamer and it tasted great. Now i know why my wife liked also this product.

WILL:  I am deprived to drink coffee by my husband, why? Caffeine really affects my sleep. So this Sunday morning, hehe, I attacked his cabinet full of sachets of 3-in-1 coffees.
I miss this taste! Yummy, so creamy, bitter but sweet. Delicious indeed! Try this! We bought this at ShengSiong for $6. You will love it! Promise!

Starbucks Philippines

ABBEY: At the end of each year Starbucks releases a planner. Since we were back in Philippines during that period we started our quest. My wife wants to have that planner. Its easy for us to have those 17 stamps as we pushed our relatives and friends to have coffee after dinner. In four days we got it. What I like he most on their Christmas blend is hot white chocolate mocha with cranberry (both hot and cold); next is the toffee nut.

WILL: I am not really a fan of this cafe, I really found their frap to be to bland. But I want their 2012 planner so Abbey and I hit the place not just once. Hehe.
I first tasted their holiday coffee in Baguio. Since then, I love Starbucks hot coffee. Haha. Even here in Singapore asked Abbey to buy the Venti hot white chocolate mocha
Hmm. I hope there will be more seats in every cafe. Oh!, one more thing, in Philippines, Starbucks serves as one of the status symbol. Haha. Once you have a picture with Starbucks coffee you can consider yourself "sosyal". Argh! Haha

Koi Cafe

ABBEY: Wilma anticipates the opening of their branch at CompassPoint. When it opened we queue to order a couple of bubble tea.

This is the first time I saw that an iPad is used to get the orders just like the screen at the cash register. (maybe remote app) That amazed me :) This gives the efficiency of the staff to get and processed the orders. Which in turn giving the customers minimal waiting time.

We got Ovaltine and caramel macchiato for 7sgd. They also offer sugar level options. Now I have an alternative for my Golden Ovaltine.

WILL: Koi Cafe is having a great buzz around Sengkang and that was  thing that gave us a huge urge to try this one.
As usual long queue is there but fret not, they have a great service that they can make your waiting time to be shorter than expected. Very high-tech! they use iPad to take our orders and we will just pay at the counter and get our queue number.
That taste? not bad but not so good as the Gong Cha. Try it, anyways we have different level of taste and satisfaction.

Marks & Spencer's Lemon, Ginger and Ginseng Tea

ABBEY:  This tea reminds me of the drink we had in a spa in Bintan and Bukit Gombak. Only this one is not sweet. As you intake the tea it will leave a menthol-like sensation in your throat. It has no string unlike the ordinary tea. You just have to put in a cup with hot water. The leaves will not be burned resulting to bitter taste.

WILL: Lovely! Refreshing! Satisfying! If you have a cold r flu, this tea will definitely help you for some de-clogging job :)
This costs not more than $5. Try it!

OldTown White Coffee 3in1 Hazelnut

ABBEY: I like their coffee when we visited their shop at the Playground. When we saw their instant coffee at World Food Fair we bought the pack.

The flavor is hazelnut. Rich aroma filled our room when I made a cup. As the smell is good so is the taste; not too bitter, not too sweet. It's a good buy. Unfortunately the stock run out when we tried to at Sheng Siong.

WILL: OldTown is a local business from Malaysia but also a distinctive cafe here in Singapore. White coffee for Malaysians is coffee roasted in margarine, brewed and sweetened by condensed milk.
This coffee has a very strong aroma that will awaken your spirit, when you sip it your taste buds will be definitely thankful to you.
I hope we can see more of this flavor at supermarkets. OldTown is always out of stock. Tourist here in Singapore, this coffee is a must to buy before heading home.

Dulcofibre

ABBEY: This sample was given to us when we purchased a product from Guardian. I am aware of this fibre-rich supplements because they were already being sold back in Philippines but I haven't tried any.

A sachet should be mixed in a glass of water. It has a faint citrus flavor. Upon intake, you should drink ample amount of water throughout the day to obtain maximum effect. The result is good for me, I became a "floater" during that period.

WILL: As other vitamins, we also need a daily supply of fiber. You can take Dulcofibre once or twice a day. We took this lovable mandarin taste drink before we took our breakfast.
Soluble fibre is a really must for every individual. This helps the body to throw away the toxins that causes diseases.
Wait no more, buy Dulcofibre now.

Jewel Coffee

ABBEY: We pass-by this coffee shop whenever we went to Vivo City from her office. We planned to have a cup there but it only materialized a week ago.

They're selling a stylish coffee cup called keep-cups at 50% off with free drink. We also tried their spicy pasta at 10sgd. The food was good and even better when we had a chat with the owner. He is accommodating as well as his staff. The shop us located near Lau Pa Sat festive market.

WILL: This is my first time here in Singapore to be welcomed by an owner of a restaurant. He is very accommodating.
We won and entitled to buy the keepcup for 50% off with free coffee or tea. Of course, right there and then we get our 2 cups of hot drinks. The taste? Awesome! Unordinary drink while sitting on their high-cahirs. Superb experience on a delightful sunny afternoon.
Baby also tried their pasta, spicy yet the taste is so flavorful. I hope I can determined the spices in it but I can't so there is no way I can copy this pasta for me to cook this at home, hehe.
It is true, indeed, they are jewel to treasure. Thanks Jewel Coffee.

Valley Fresh Premium Juice

ABBEY: This is one of the brand of juice that we buy for our supply. Just like the other manufacturer, they  offer diffrent kind of fruit juices such as lime, carrot, and apple. I like the most is their orange juice. It's not that sour nor too sweet. The taste is just right. Price is not more than 4sgd.

WILL: Valley Fresh is a great choice for our weekly dose of fruit juices. As far as I know, at Sheng Siong, this is the cheapest among others. Cheap yet the taste is good.
