Borders - Final Days

ABBEY:  I'm happy and somehow sad when I learned that Border's will be closing down. Happy for the book discounts; sad because the bookstore will meet its end. I got two reference books for 5sgd each when I first went to their drive. On its last days, my wife got one part of her fave novel but I had none. Almost all the reference books are gone. Its nice to be part of the last sale but I also must live to the fact that life must go on Border-less. WILL:  There is no easy way to say goodbye. Bye Borders. :( this company been great in serving the public by giving us the varieties of books the world can offer.        By letting them know that we support them until the end, we went at their clearance sale. And surprise, surprise my long last book was found and purchased for 70% off      Thank you borders for the years of service and feeding our mind through good books.

4 Fingers Crispy Chicken

ABBEY:  They boast their crispy chicken wings. Unfortunately we didn't get the chance to taste them. But we were offered other choices from their menu. We got their chicken burger and their chicken tenders. It is seasoned with garlic soy sauce, and the chicken is very crispy. The meal comes with a drink and fries. Our meal each starts from 10sgd. Lovely Wall Signatured Chicken Chop  Chicken Burger WILL:  Four fingers is not enough to use upon eating their sumptuous chicken. For now, this is the best fried chicken for me here in Singapore. The texture is impressive, very tender. The taste is so good. I just can get over the bursting of flavors inside my mouth.        Whenever you go to Orchard, try to drop by here. Very recommendable.

Sentosa Buskers Festival 2011

ABBEY:  It's the second time we went to Buskers' Festival. As we enjoyed the first we also had a fun time for the recent one. Fun time means I also participated in one of the busker's act. It was for Acromanuel. As the name implies he's an acrobat. He handed me a balloon and told me to blow it up. He picked another male audience the same built as me and told us to face each other with crossed-arm. He stood between us, gripped our arms and did a head stand. I can't believe we can carry him. As a tip he told us to lean forward if we feel that we will be out of balance. :) We also met Valentino and his Jazz puppets as well as the fire-breather magician Jeff Collins. While searching for a place to eat we met a mime on the way. He's antics are very funny. Every end of the act they encourage people to help for the funding of the Community Chest. WILL:  Buskers from other countries again at Sentosa. Thanks to Sentosa management for letting us witnes...

Merlion Park

ABBEY:  I've been at the park many times. The first time we went there is when Wilma had a stopover for her flight to Vietnam. Many people come there to take picture with the symbol of Singapore. An artist even made the Merlion a hotel. It was enclosed in a room where people can check in and spend a night there. Coffee shops and diners are available at the park as well as the duck tours terminal. If you can't have the perfect snap with the lion-mermaid, you can have pose with its smaller version just at the back of the big one or visit the largest one at Sentosa :) WILL:  This is the well-visited park of Singapore. Located here is their Merlion... Singapore's icon. I am quite unhappy now lang namin sya nablog. The most difficult time to take picture here is on evening. So if you want to have some solo picture with beloved Merlion, go here morning to 3pm.  ;) goodluck for taking the best angle of Merlion.

Sands SkyPark

ABBEY:  I've seen Marina Bay Sands towers progress from being built until it was opened to the public. It is my wish to go to the top and see the bay at a higher perspective. For a fee of 20sgd and a good cloudy windy weather, we went to the 56th floor. The lift ride will give you air pocket telling you that it will be very high up there. When we reached the top the view is awesome. We didn't waste anytime to take snaps. We were overwhelmed by the place. Drinks and light snacks are available for munching. A garden, pool and restaurant are also there at the park WILL:  Sands skypark? Expensive meh! Hehe. Its on 56th floor of Marina Bay Sands. But anyway, acting like a tourist, we want to spend some time on a noah's ark look-a-like. ;)       If you want to think over something about your life, this is a place to recommend. Hehe. Makapagnilay-nilay ka tlga. Or ako lng ang gumagawa nun, back in our home, I am staying to ...
