Alt (Alternative) Pizza @ Suntec Tower 4

ABBEY: Wanna have a "pugon"-baked pizza? Then head to Suntec Tower 4 (near the Fountain taxi stand).

We went there after office and had a "pizza"-ful dinner. One for one promotion is there for all their 11-inch pizzas. We got these: Bleu Haze, 400, The Hangover, Dangerous Diego, Crabby Ninja, and Alpha Lima Tango. I don't know if the last pizza name is the spelled out name of ALT Pizza.

I liked Bleu Haze and my order, Dangerous Diego. Bleu Haze is an all-veggie one; the smell of mushroom is aromatic. Its texture is tender as if your eating meat in every bite. Dangerous Diego is the typical takeout pizza but it's not. It has more flavor and taste because of chorizo.

ALT Pizza's chilli oil is a good complement with the pies; not too spicy. Be sure to finish them before they get cold.

WILL: Every time I am seeing a pizza, gluttony kicks in!  Yes, I can eat one and a half box of a 9" pizza. That is why buy one take one is a really good deal for me and Abbey. When our friend Vince asked for a meet up, I swiftly suggest ALT Pizza for us to take advantage on their September 1-for-1 promotion.

We met there around 6PM on F1 Saturday. Abbey and I ordered our 2 pizzas, Nadine ordered her 2 and Vince after arriving late (as usual) decided to go for Crabby Ninja and Alpha Lima Tango.

I want the 400° and Abbey went for Dangerous Diego. The most memorable for me is the Bleu Haze. It’s not that because Singapore was clothed with haze that time but because of the taste of the blue cheese melted together with parmesan and white sauce is tremendously unforgettable. Did I mention that this is thin crust pizza but 4 slices made me full. So we ended up wrapping home some of the slices.

Thanks ALT Pizza. You really gave new flavours on our pizza. Congrats Chef White for this cool place at Suntec 4.

NamNam Noodle Bar Singapore - Suntec City Branch

ABBEY: I used to bring Wilma breakfast items from Vietnamese restaurant NamNam Noodle Bar but I haven't tasted them. I just knew they taste good. I was not wrong.

One afternoon we had snack on their branch at Suntec City mall. For less than 30sgd, we had a bowl of noodle (pho), two 6-inch sandwich (bahn mi) and drinks.

I ordered sautéed lemongrass pork and cream cheese bahn mi and pho pork balls. The bahn mi is fresh  delicious and flavorful with the herbs used. The rice noodles' hot broth is "comforting" with its rich flavor. It is a bit spicy but I managed to finish it. The pork balls taste good as well. The condiment like the fish sauce and the herbs really bring out the unique taste on the food.

WILL: "You put my love on top, top, top." Every time Abbey surprised me of anything I always want to go to the highest point of the building where I am in just to sing the Beyonce's Love On Top. Haha..

I think NamNam is one of the food in his Love list for me, why? He always bring me breakfast from this store. So one Saturday afternoon before he heads to the office, we went here for lunch.

Their branch at Suntec City is spacious but as usual like their Raffles City branch there's always a long queue. We seated and from their big white screen that showed Vietnamese street foods gave me the urge to come back to Ho Chi Minh.

I ordered Chicken Meat Balls and a Pho Pork Balls for me and Abbey to share. My chicken meatball baguette is so delicious, spicy, sweet, and yummy. Their noodle soup do not need any condiments to be added. The taste is perfect!

They have a very big serving enough for my tummy to burst but my tastebuds really love the taste so half of my bread was wrapped for take-away. They do not have service charge unlike others but if you want to tapao your food, you will add a $0.50 for it.

Till next time NamNam. Very recommendable.

The Soup Spoon at Suntec City (19th Branch)

ABBEY: I used to pass by The Soup Spoon when I go to office but didn't got the chance to dine in as I'm not a fan of soups. They opened their Suntec branch recently and Wilma won a 10 sgd voucher. We visited it on a Sunday afternoon.

The chairs and tables have park-like designs and the ambiance got a homey feel. We ordered Lamb and pork sausage ragu in a bread bowl. I was not even aware that they serving in bread bowls :) Good to know that. We also got smoked ham and cheese sandwich. The bread is soft and fillings are flavorful and delicious. I got full after eating.

One question though, is it ok to finish the bread-bowl also?

WILL: I am a fan of soups most specially the pumpkin, I even bought a book of soup recipes but.. OMG, I am not really good in cooking.. hehe..
I joined and I won a $10 voucher for The Soup Spoon's 19th branch in Singapore, located at newly renovated and so awesome Suntec City Mall.
Asking Abbey for a date on this restaurant and on one Sunday afternoon, we go there for lunch. He ordered the Chef's special Lamb and Pork Sausage Ragu, I am in heaven! Tastes so great!
The Smoked Ham and Cheese taste differently to others maybe because of their bread.
I will definitely come back on any of their branches! Oh, guys, thanks for the voucher. :)

Deli Turk Turkish Cuisine - Suntec Mall

ABBEY: We were looking for a place to dine at Suntec City Mall and was about to order a meal at Pangat. Suddenly, Wilma asked if we can try Turkish Cuisine diner. We were warmly welcomed by their staff and handed us the menu upon seating. We looked for shawarma but they don't serve it and asked us if we would like to try pide, an oval shaped pizza like bread. I got the vegan one. The crust is crunchy and the toppings has a good aroma which makes you crave for more. We had a complimentary apple tea served in a fancy shot glass.

WILL: I am lucky girl. Every time I am craving for something, the food is just around us, its either we can directly buy it from any store or Abbey will cook it for me. Last August, I am really into shawarma, that was up to point that I asked Abbey to cook and wrap the pork left-over meat. Haha.
So this craziness hits me when we are roaming around the Suntec, very blessed, we saw the Deli Turk Tukish Cuisine. Upon settling down, I immediately asked their staff if do they have shawarma, they advise us to take the Kebab and they will wrap it for me. Immediately agreed to the offer. Husband went for vegetarian pizza pied. The chicken kebab taste so nice, the sauce coming out from it gave an instant bliss to my mouth. The pizza pide is extrmely nice, you will never know that the topping is all vegies. Oh darn, I almost eat all the pide, haha..
As usual, Abbey and I are talking over the food, we normally discuss everything and anything. That time, we are talking about the progress of this couple's blog, we reminisce how it started and on now having a thousand of views from different parts of the world. Very fulfilling.
We send over some compliments once we have a good dining experience in every restaurant we pig-out. After saying thank you for serving a good food to us, a complimentary apple tea made its way to our table. Oh darl, I will tell you this is my cup of tea. I can drink a pitcher of that. Haha!
This is located at Suntec #03-04 and they have another brach at 162 Upper East Coast Road.

Geláre Singapore

ABBEY: At last we set foot on this waffle house and that day they're offering it at half the price. Yes, you heard it right, Gelare in Suntec City Mall offers half the price for waffles every Tuesdays. I got their chocolate chip waffle and Wilma had the plain one; all for less than 10sgd. Each waffle has whipped cream and of course the syrup. It tastes delicious and very sweet. This is recommended for all who has sweet tooth.

WILL:  I am a lover of different breads and pastries and this waffle shop is not exempted. Since I got here in Singapore, I really dreamed of dining in here and that hope ignites more when I saw their 50% off every Tuesdays, hehe.
At last!, for almost two years when we got the chance to dine in here. At their Suntec City branch, we savor its aroma then our order was served. Freshly baked waffles really makes my day! It is not too sweet and yet the taste is amazing. Love it a lot. Sarap!

World Food Fair 2011

ABBEY: We have attended a lot of food fair but they never fail us to appreciate and taste new dishes or snacks locally or from other countries.

WILL: Wohooo another food fair! We really love this kind of fairs, why?, because we see different kinds of food packed in one place. And of course lesser price and lots of freebies.
Till next food fair Suntec :)
