Marina Bay Sands Infinity Pool

ABBEY: When we went to Sands Sky Park, I only saw a part of the pool. I can't believe when I was already there having a dip at the "infinite" water structure.

We got there on a Sunday and we expected a jam-packed pool. Everyone flashes a smile and taking snaps. Since we haven't got a place yet, we went for a dip in their jacuzzi that also has a good view from the top.

But the best experience is when we had the pool to ourselves at 6am. While everyone is asleep we were there taking pictures; and I can say that they're great. The place is serene and the water is calm and soothing.

WILL:  What about a pool with a view of skyscrapers? Extraordinary isn't? Well this is what the infinity pool of Marina Bay Sands here in Singapore offers its hotel guests.
From the 57th storey, you can swim at this 500-foot long pool, while intoxicating yourself in the views of Merlion, Esplanade and Art Science Museum. Indeed a majestic scenery of structures this can offer.
You can enter and enjoy this privilege, just present your keycard and pool card to the staff and you can stay there from 6am-10pm. They also offer jacuzzis; in there, while the hydro-therapy is going against your body, please gaze at the beautiful Gardens by the Bay.
Nicest shot here was taken from 0600-0630.

Marina Bay Sands Hotel Accommodation - Promotion 2012

ABBEY: This is a long-awaited nightout with my wife. Marina Bay Sands had promotional room rates and it coincides on my birthday month. A deluxe room costs 422sgd for a night stay (this doesn't include breakfast). So after our major activity at the office, I look forward relaxing in the arms of Marina Bay Sands. We got there by their airport shuttle at Changi Terminal 2 and checked in at 3pm.

We were given a room at 24th floor with a view of Gardens by the Bay. The bed is comfy and bathroom is classy. Upon arrival, I indulge in a cup of coffee while my wife on tea. It was a nice stay. I rested well and got enough sleep. I felt revived and rejuvenated. I just wish that we could stay there a little bit longer.

By 11am we checked out and ended our rendezvous.

WILL: Lo and behold! After Abbey's two years of asking me to have a staycation at this prestigious hotel and considered one of the icons now of Singapore we already stayed of 2D1N in this great structure.
Why I never booked before? I really do not see the value of my money for a one night stay, but because Abbey is a member of Sands Rewards, he get the sales and discounts at The Shoppes and with the MBS Room Rates. We read the email and immediately checked how much we can save from the original room rate of almost S$650 a night. We booked for a discounted price of S$350++ and immediately received a confirmation email. A week before your stay, they will send another email for you to fill up a form to expedite your check-in. Stretched out and to experience the whole package in booking a room, we went to Changi Airport Terminal 2 to avail their free coach. Like a boss lei! Haha. For 30mins we arrived the hotel queue for less than 10mins and then we set in our feet in one of Abbey's great wish.
As we turned on the tv, my husband's full name appeared and welcoming him. TWG is their complimentary tea, free wifi and an exceptional free coffee for Abbey. We stayed at 24th floor and our view from our room is the Gardens by the Bay.
This is a nice experience. Really! We check-out at 11am after a sumptuous buffet breakfast at Sky on 57. They billed a total amount of $422.54 on Abbey's credit card. Worthy!
     Till next stay MBS ;)

BongKod Traditional Thai Foot Spa

ABBEY: We got this traditional Thai foot reflexology on Groupon at less than 20sgd per person. Bongkod Thai Foot Spa is located at Ang Mo Kio.

Upon reaching the establishment we were welcomed by their staff and asked us to get ready for foot wash and scrub. Once finished we were given a very comfy-kingly chair. It was very relaxing. The masseur put warm towel on our feet and immediately started the session. The ointment/cream applied to our feet is non-greasy and really soothes our tired feet; and it has a good aroma. Upon ending the session they gave us a relaxation tea.

WILL: Thai Massage yes but foot spa?, this is my first time. Bongkod Traditional Thai Foot Spa was located at Ang Mo Kio just behind a wet market, very accessible to the residence along the area. We bought this package for $18.00 at Groupon and immediately redeemed the voucher.
Once we stepped our feet in their haven, they immediately accommodate us, asked to sit in the middle of the room to wash our tired feet, then we followed and sat to our assigned seat. All of of the people beside us is sleeping while their masseurs were busy striding their fingers on their feet.
They handed as the hot ginger tea, and soaked my foot on a warm water with tea then my body completely gave in.. Relaxed.
The masseurs came then started the 60mins session. Gosh, really, they are hitting the painful spots. Relief and relaxed and sleepy, that was I felt after they took off their hands off my feet.
They have a very friendly staff. Try here, they have also a $10.00 package when we got there,  Very recommendable place.

1st Red Bull Flugtag Singapore - 2012

ABBEY: It's German for "flying day". The event was held at Siloso beach, Sentosa last October 28. The program kicked off at 12 noon. The beach was full of sexy and hunk bods. It's also a day for family to bond. The mechanics of the contest is to have the farthest flight from the ramp. Judges scored the contestants based on how their "aircraft" performed. A 30-second dance routine were displayed by each team and then they will go for their launch. This was organized by Red Bull and their event in Singapore is the first in Southeast Asia.

WILL: Singapore Grand Prix 2012, Human Freefall from the Edge of Space and now Red Bull gave to Singapore the ever first Flugtag to be held in Southeast Asia.
Husband asked me to go to this event, with his friend. So wearing our most comfortable clothing and sunblock, sun welcomed us then kissed our skins and bathe with its rays while watching the machines and its pilots fly.
I voted for Kaplan City Fliers & Pok Pok K but none of them hit the three top spots. But that never made me depressed, the whole event we were there to watch their performances and all of them push their masterpieces out from the ledge. Really a fun activity for whole family. We are looking forward for the next Flugtag here in Singapore.
Thank ou Red Bull, we never had a chance to attend the after party but we really enjoyed this event.

Kkongdon Korea BBQ SG

ABBEY: JP Pepperdine has a lot of food chains and Kkongdon Korean is one of them. Wilma told me that she won a 20sgd voucher from JP Pepperdine Facebook contest and asked me if we can redeem it at Marina Square.

So we went there for dinner after office. The staff warmly greeted us and showed us our table. We were advised to try their meal for two at 19.80 per pax. A choice of 2 meats (chicken, beef, and pork), kimchi cake, egg soufflé  and soup. It also includes buffet of kimchi and veggies.

WILL: Since Korean culture hits the Asia so hard, people goes berserk from fashion to food. No wonder why JP Pepperdine group brought Kkongdon Korea Bbq here in Singapore. As they want to be known to diners, they held a contest and a $20 vouchers were up, blessed, we are one of the lucky beneficiary of that contest. Ha!
Abbey and I just met at Esplande MRT station after office hour. Just 150 meters away, we walked to Marina Square branch, their lovely people approached us and immediately guide us on to our table.
We ordered their BBQ Special Dinner Set for $19.80++ per person. Griller was ready and I am so thankful that they have exhaust fan per table. We set the meats and spices to our griller and while waiting for it to be cooked, we munched up their unlimited Korean side dishes. I am not fond of DIY cooking, luckily my hubby was there to wave his magic on our foods. This package came with my favorite kimchi pancake and chadol.
Visit their Facebook Page for more information.

Kneipp Foot Bath Crystals

ABBEY: These are my feet's best buddy when they're tired and aching. Put warm water on a basin and mix in the crystals. Soak your feet and feel them revitalized. The product has a pleasant, relaxing aroma too. It's like you're having a foot spa at the comfort of your own home.  We got this one as prize on an online contest.

WILL: Salt was known for their antiseptic property so why not incorporate them at footbaths. This is one many products Kneipp gave Abbey when he won a $20 voucher.
This is a nice bottle to have. You don't need to go somewhere to soothe your swelling feet, in the comfort your own home, you can soak away all the pain that your feet feels.
The aroma of this salt filled our room and give an extra relaxing aura. Thanks Kneipp for this organic foot crystals. Visit the Guardian Paragon branch for more info on Kneipp products.
