ABBEY: We were able to spend some time with Chat for April celebrations at Yummo Chow (Hotel NuVe Heritage). The restaurant is not too busy when we arrived half past 12 noon. I guess we’re the only guests that time. We looked at the menu and included pork ribs on our first order but unfortunately it was not available at the moment.
We got teriyaki salmon, Australian sirloin and ribeye steaks, spam fries, french fries, mentaiko mayo prawn, and carbonara. The pastas (including our second order chilli crab) lack the flavor and got too much sauce. Our spam fries seems not to be Spam but other brand of luncheon meat but still good. I really liked the ribeye steaks, prawn, and pork satays (note that there are 5 sticks per order).
For the drinks, the staff recommended fresh watermelon and it didn’t disappoint; not too sweet or watery. No credit card payments but Grab and PayNow is accepted.
WILL: Another year has passed, and what better way to celebrate than with delicious food on a budget, right? We decided to treat ourselves at Yummo Chow, indulging in some seriously crave-worthy dishes.
First up, we had to satisfy our fish craving, opting for both salmon and dory. Next on the list was Shrimp Tempura, because who can resist crispy, flavorful tempura? And then came the unexpected delight – pork satay! We ended up devouring 10 skewers of it, completely caught off guard by how good it was.
To balance out all the savory flavors, we were pleasantly surprised by freshly squeezed watermelon juice, offering the perfect natural sweetness. And as if that wasn't enough, they also served 1872 Clippers Tea, adding a unique touch to our meal.
Yummo Chow at Bugis definitely exceeded our expectations with their offerings. Highly recommended, especially with their current 60% off deal on the Eatigo App. Don't miss out this S$21++ deal (add: $1190 for Premium Items)!
ABBEY: Imagine going to a province and it’s fiesta. And you can eat as many times as you can. That’s the vibe at Konyo brunch. For SGD 19.9 we enjoyed the lunch platter which includes crackling bagnet, chicken-pork adobo, lumpiang shanghai, pancit canton, tilapia, rice, kangkong, talong and okra. Pair them with kamatis-sibuyas ensalada, spiced toyo-mansi and vinegar and bagoong and you’re set.
We opted selected items only for our second and third servings as we can’t finish another platter. Our Pinoy food cravings were satisfied. We even have kwentuhan (chitchat) with the staff.
WILL: Another month, another buffet. And to celebrate another milestone (Chat’s 15th anniversary in Singapore) we opted to try the pretty infamous Filipino buffet situated in Orchard. Ahmm yes, you have read it right, it is infamous due to some reviews we read in their facebook page. S$19.90 for 4-hour buffet, we braved to try and see for ourselves if the bad reviews are true. Here we go…
Konyo is a bar and only offers lunch every Saturday and Sunday. And we were surprised that their restaurant was not well lit for lunchtime, therefore we requested to move to a table with a good light. Our first platter came pretty fast. Everything tastes good and acceptably oily. Haha. My favourite is their fried tilapia and pork bagnet! Truly perfect for a steaming hot rice! Second order came like a little late and it seems that one of the waiters forgot that we requested food.
We would like to commend Erika for her warm service and we will surely comeback for another affordable and tummy filling buffet.

ABBEY: We have a mission coming to this restaurant at Regent Hotel. Basilico offers a buffet of cheese. And not just cheese; we’re talking of burrata, fresh mozzarella and with truffle. And they didn’t disappoint even though the burrata is not that gooey or runny. But still they’re creamy, bouncy and delicious. I ate them with artichoke, cherry tomatoes and asparagus.
Along with that they also have pecorino, piemonte and asiago cheese as well as cold cuts like mortadella and salami and salad.
For hot food we got porchetta, honey glazed chicken, baked salmon, grilled chicken and beef stew. Pasta like pesto, spaghetti with squid ink and beef lasagna are also available.
And to wrap we have a couple scoops of vanilla and chocolate gelato and pralines.
WILL: We watched a travel show that showcased how an Italian farm makes burrata cheese and it hit us hugely that we went out to look in Singapore and we found a restaurant specialising in fresh burrata every day. Sadly, they didn’t survive the pandemic era. Gladly, we found another restaurant.
Basilico in Regent Hotel serves not only burrata but an array of delectable cheese! We were there for cheese so once we got our seats, we straight away took cheese, meats, cracker and nuts. Yep! We made ourselves a charcuterie in an instant. Wine please! Haha! We stayed a little bit longer than everyone (as usual) because I want to settle down the main courses in my stomach for desserts but is is a shocker when they serve porchetta. Of course I took some of those! Don’t forget to taste their vanilla gelato and praline.
Very recommendable for Italian cusine buffs. You might strike a conversation too with their Italian Chefs.
ABBEY: We were looking for Pinoy cuisine and we found Guevarra’s. For Php699.00, you can have a delicious lunch buffet. They do have lechon, bacon bagnet, angus tapa, baby back ribs, chicken barbecue, laing, paella, caldereta, and chicken skin.
For dessert, you can enjoy choco pudding, halo halo, flan, and cakes. I keep coming for more lechon and baby back ribs; falls of the bone and melts in your mouth. Be sure to eat as much as you want. They are strict in sitting times as another batch will be served after you.
Only later we knew that Chef Laudico is a celebrity chef. Celebrity or not, the food is great. End of story. Haha.
WILL: If you are an expat that didn’t have a chance to visit Philippines due to COVID there’s a possibility that you really do miss to indulge in authentic Filipino cuisine. And when we say indulge it means that it should be unlimited food with a fair cost (stingy mode) right? I have seen Guevarra’s Lunch Buffet and we were shocked that it only cost Php699 Nett (USD 11.86) and it was tucked away in a quite secluded neighbourhood of San Juan.
So without further words, I would say that this is totally recommended. I love their sisig in shot glasses, kare-kare, baby back ribs, laing and their ensaymada! Ahhm, not so happy with their paella.
I would love take out some of their whole cakes but we are bound to another location. The seats are very limited so please do make an advance reservation.

ABBEY: I’ve been eyeing to go to The Armoury. It got delayed with the dining restrictions or full capacity. Lo and behold we got our spot and ready ourselves to the buffet feast.
I started with rib eye but somehow I got the part where all the tendons are. It got chewy instead of a tender meat. The strip loin and pork ribs are better. What I enjoyed the most is the grilled shabu beef. It is served in “mountains” and I had them twice. It is sweet and caramelized. We also had fried chicken which is crispy and spam fries (beware of the saltiness). The chicken stay and peanut sauce is ok as well.
They have other items like baked beans, edamame, green salad, corn but hey I went there for the meat galore. Make sure you order before your last plate is empty else you have a food gap. Hahaha.
WILL: Abbey is craving for MEAT! It is maybe due to our gym sessions that his body is now requiring him for more protein to build up the muscles (naks!). We heard of The Armoury Steak House that offers 90-minutes STEAK BUFFET for only $30++.
How was the cheapest steak buffet in town? Is it worth it? Yes! They are fast to serve the food we ordered, the meat tender, but the down side is…flavour is somewhat inconsistent. Some of the pork ribs served was superb which I mean is you can savour the marinate until inside the meat. Well, some was just like out from the fridge and the flavours is just until its skin.
WILL: Yan Ting is one of the most awarded restaurant in Singapore. It is nestled at St. Regis hotel and because of that you will definitely receive tantamount ways of luxuries and being a VIP.
On our email correspondence, Restaurant Guest Relation used this phrase “As such, I personally remain at your disposal should you require any assistance.”, gosh, I feel like a master. Haha! Oh! I emailed not only for reservation but to let them know what we are celebrating. Because of that, Abbey was presented a thick round chocolate cake to make his 10th Year in Singapore extra special. Thanks Yat Thien and Jeanie.
Let’s go to the dumplings. If you are there for the dumplings, stick to it. Haha! There’s a pages of food that you will surely persuaded to order but...but...but consider your time. 2-hours of tasting all and determining what is the best will take those 2-hours. Haha. What food that hit to me most?
The Deep-fried Phoenix-tail Prawn with Salted Egg Yolk - it has this crunchy in the outside but crumbly on the inside. Man! The salted egg is legit!
Trio of Mushroom Dumpling with Black Truffle - I love mushroom and truffle and it is a no brainer why I like it.
Double-boiled Bamboo Fungus Consomme with Cabbage and Mushroom - Soup is distinctive to any other soup. The mushroom taste is powerful and yet calmed by the sweetness of cabbage. It became an extra unique due to the bamboo fungus texture!
Due to time and tummy restrictions, I totally regret not to get a taste of their congee nor rice selections.
Don’t forget to savour the one-time serving lobster! Gosh! It is indeed a winner! The meat is tender and fresh.
Very recommendable. Specially to people who want privacy, a peaceful dining place, a luxury!
Thanks Yan Ting for taking care of before, during and after our reservation! May HE bless us all!

ABBEY: After our relaxing stay at Pegasus Boutique Hotel, we headed to Lime restaurant at ParkRoyal on Pickering to have lunch. We got 50% off thru eatigo. I ate a lot of salmon sashimi and maki sushi. I also had cream dory, roasted beef, crispy fish skin, sweet and sour fish fillet, fried pork belly and chicken. What stood out is their braised beef. It taste like our “beef pares” back in Philippines. Unfortunately the only rice item on their buffet is the lotus leaf glutinous rice. If there would have been white rice then I’ll not leave the place :) I also had a couple of merengue, ice cream and cheesecake.

Lime Lunch Buffet - PARKROYAL on Pickering Dessert Station with Matcha Fountain
WILL: What is a celebration without a feast of food? We reserved seats at Lime Restaurant with 50% promotion at Eatigo. What's the catch? Devour the food you can in an hour.
What's the best I have seen that is not available in other buffets? First, their wheel of cheese and pasta is on it. Want more cheese? Dig in the bottom part and grate off the cheese at the side. Hehe. Second, sweet tooth will definetely fall in love of the 2-table stretch of desserts. Matcha fountain! Woohoooh! The caramel syrup available for your ice cream! Sugar overload! Third, spy on the chunks of mozarella on their salad. Eat more of salad and be healthy and happy! Sushi with mayonnaise is a win. I can't help myself but to take more than three of it for each round. Coffee and tea is included at the buffet price!

ABBEY: We remembered Mama’s 4th death anniversary at Wacko Grill (Sterling Square) along with her siblings and in-laws. Wacko Grill offers a buffet for 199Php per person. They got siomai, lumpiang shanghai, chicken in creamy sauce, radish salad, java rice and desserts. The item that stands out in the menu is the fried belly then mix with kare-kare. Drinks are not included and need to be paid separately. As it is Filipino food, they are delicious. It is a good time to catch up with our Titos and Titas.
Wacko Grill Restaurant's Crispy Kare-Kare
Wacko Grill Restaurant - Buffet Lunch Php199.00
Wacko Grill Restaurant's Other Viands
WILL: Wacko Grilll offers "Eat All You Can Lunch Buffet". Oh! Where is this restaurant located? The booming city of Sto Niño, Bulacan. A few kilometres away from NLEX Meycauayan exit. In this restaurant we celebrated the 4th year anniversary of Mama Sweet's soul to Almighty.
What you need to expect with your Php199 buffet? 8 viands, a special rice and desserts (drinks not included).
My favorite? Crispy kare-kare. Hmmm! I have four rounds of it. Bye diet! Haha! The crispiness of the meat and creamy kare-kare sauce! Oh my! Ditch out the bagoong, kare-kare can stand on its own.
ABBEY: We went for our pre-Hearts' day date here at Spuds and Aprons (Faber Peak). It was a lunch date. I was craving for laksa and good thing the menu is composed of local dishes. My eyes gleamed at the site of laksa though it is the dry-type, it is full of flavor; the spiciness and creaminess of coconut milk. Then I indulged in bite-sized samosas and spring rolls. I also had a couple plates of Hainanese chicken rice; each with different sauce like chili, soy sauce and ginger. They also have prawns, vegetables and steamed fish (the texture is almost like a pulp). The ambiance is great. It is on a high place with trees and good view of Sentosa and Harbourfront. Don't forget to sound the Bell of Happiness. Lunch buffet is from noon to 2:30PM.
Spuds & Aprons' Menu is inside of this video.
WILL: So it is "Love" Month and everybody is going crazy what to do or what to give to their love ones. I am planning 2 dates for me and Abbey and Spuds and Apron is one of them. This nicely located restaurant is on the top of Mt. Faber. You can reach this by either using cable car, taxi (around $6 from VivoCity) or by foot (1.5 hours depend on your phase). It is a buffet lunch and I got it for a promotion of $14.00 each which includes a free entrance to Sentosa via Sentosa Express (usual is $29.90). They serves Local Singaporean Cuisine and I am looking forward for this since I booked it from 90 Days of Fun At Sentosa platform. There are only few choices but $14 is all worth it. There is shrimp which everybody (yes! Everybody except Abbey) is splurging of. I keep on coming back for the fish which is perfect for rice. Ohhh! I got their hot mung bean dessert! The view is perfectly romantic and no doubt this is one of the best rented place for weddings and other special events. Spuds and Apron..you rock! Thanks for accommodating our date without breaking my budget! Haha!
ABBEY: This is where we have our New Year's day date, at Ban Heng Restaurant. It was lunch time. It was almost empty during our first visit, but come New Year's day, it was jam-packed and you can feel the festive spirit. We indulged ourselves with serving of wanton in tom yam soup, dim sum, crispy fried chicken wings, spring rolls, fried mantou, shrimp rolled in crispy bean curd skin, fried fish fillet in sweet and sour sauce and the two best entrees for us: pork ribs and salted egg custard in steamed bun. Wow, it was a feast for less than 25SGD per person. Drinks like tea, coffee, and juices are all bottomless.
Ban Heng @ Harbourfront Centre - Dim Sum Lunch Buffet Menu
is in this video =)
WILL: We are truly missing the dim sum at Banawe Avenue in Philippines and that is the main reason why we decided to splurge in different kind of buffet..Dim Sum buffet! If you buy an ala-carte of those it will cost you a ton of money and as suggested by Chat (long-long time ago) we headed to Ban Heng Lunch Dim Sum Buffet which was served at their Harbourfront branch. It is holiday, New Year, and yet the price of it never broke our bank. For 3 hours, we indulge to variety of Dim Sums, noodle, soup and even fried rice. Food served to us is surprisingly beyond our expectations. Gosh! The pork ribs! Drooll!!! I can eat it all day long! Haha! We will surely be coming back in this restaurant. I will tag-along and recommend this well to all of our friends! Thanks Ban Heng. See you again...soon!
ABBEY: This is where we celebrated my 33rd birthday. Equinox is located at the 70th storey of Swissotel (City Hall MRT). They have their own lift to carry their guest to the top. We had lunch there and it is a semi-buffet. I went for sushi and sashimi on my first round. Then I was surprised by the beef chunks when I'm helping myself in a serving of beef soup. The beef is so soft that it melts in your mouth. No chewing needed :) I think I had 3 bowls of them. Then I tried their crackers and cheese. For the main course (one time only as well as the coffee) I had slow-roasted pork belly. It is delicious. I enjoyed putting some Truffle and Cauliflower Emulsion sauce before having a bite. We were given a table with the view of Marina Bay. But it was cloudy and foggy as it is raining during that time. The staffs were polite and warm. They also gave me a cake for my birthday.
Baked Norwegian Salmon
Slow-Roasted Pork Belly
WILL: I gave three options to the birthday boy, three restaurants that not only will give him a good food but also a good view. Then he chose Equinox Restaurant of Swissotel. Why he went for that? Because it is semi-buffet and all the other are offering only a set meal. So what is semi buffet? This will be our first time to experience this. Haha, so this explanation is not only for you but for me too (to inculcate this new knowledge on my brain), semi buffet offers an eat-all-you-can appetiser and desserts. The drinks and main course is limited in one serving. You can order more on menu, well of course with additional payment. What strikes me the most in this 70th floor restaurant in Swissotel? Beside of the outstanding view by the window, their sushi and their loveable cauliflower soup keeps me coming back for MORE! I did not enjoy my main course, Baked Norwegian Salmon, its is pretty bland and it needed a help of pepper and salt to somewhat gave some flavour. I am not fond of the selection of their pastries. But I like the fact that they surprise my husband with complimentary cake with my special dedication on it. Is it worth the money? The view plus the well-mannered staffs plus the sushi ... hit the value of the money we had paid for. One of the best place to propose! High up in Singapore Sky. :)
ABBEY: We went here for lunch buffet with Kuya Iking. The buffet is still being setup but they already ushered us to our table. It was a seafood buffet and I reminded myself to be more cautious of the food. I think every dish that they can put shrimp into, they did. I had Hokien prawn mee and enjoyed it as I drizzle it with calamansi (palabok style). Also I got pasta, tuna and greek salads. Then I tried their tandoori lamb. It was delicious. For dessert I had chocolate and vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup. To settle it all, I went for coffee. The staff keeps looking at us as we're resting and they keep on asking us to eat more. Maybe they thought that we don't like the buffet. To prove them wrong, we went again at Four Points, this time for dinner, 7 days after our lunch.
It was a lobster feast. Wilma's colleagues went with us and each one was given a half serving of a lobster. What I enjoyed the most are baked halibut, seafood rice, sashimi (I missed this when we had lunch), chicken in paper, and their fried shrimp with wasabi mayo. Definitely it was a feast. And to top the experience we got it for 50% off as I'm Starwood Preferred Guest member.
Half Portion Of Grilled Boston Lobster
Eatery at Four Points by Sheraton Singapore, Riverview
WILL: We were the luckiest person in earth that we both availed the lunch and dinner buffet at Eatery at Four Points by Sheraton for 50% off. Yes! 50% off. Later I will tell you how. ;)
I am expecting that they have almost have the similar variants on lunch and dinner but surprisingly they have different food served.
What the best food I have tried on their lunch? It is their scallop dumpling. I almost finish the whole bunch on the steaming machine. Haha! Then on dinner, of course their lobster baked with cheese! Yummmm! Oh! Don't forget to get some gong gong. Deep fried coated shrimp and hot chocolate cake that is available on lunch and dinner buffet are the food that you shouldn't let passed. :) haha.
So how we got the 50% off in this newly opened Four Points by Sheraton (Riverview)? Because we registered to be a member in here. It is free guys! You can use it internationally and gain points that you can redeem for free stays. Promotions are all over at SPG members and its free, you do not have the excuse not to be part of it. :)
