Sugarcane Juice

ABBEY: When I was a child I grab a small part of sugarcane and munch it until the sweetness is gone. When i came here is Singapore they're offering a cup of the juice for 1.8sgd. Sticks of sugarcane will be fed into a machine that will extract the juice and voila a very sweet all-natural drink. No need for munching. All you have to do is to sip and relax as the sweetness fills your mouth.

WILL: Whenever I have a chance to sip this very very refreshing drink, I will. Sarap kaya. For only $1. :) Definitely my favorite!

Waterholes Creek - 2010 Pink Moscato

ABBEY:  We're looking for sweet wine and we saw this wine house at Nex. Upon entering the shop we asked if they have sweet wine. Lo and behold, they have it for 18sgd. It was recommended also by the attendant and according to her they were sold like hotcakes. It's the sweetest from all the spirits that I tasted.

WILL: As i said before, i am used to fridge with red or white wine in it. Me and parents sipped a shot once in a while after dinner. Here, whenever I see some discounted price of wines, I see to it to avail even a bottle.
Once we were at NEX, i saw at wine company that they are on sale. We got this waterholes pink moscato for 18$.
The taste? A little bit sweet. Very nice, after drinking a glass or two, i always had good night sleep. Try this. You'll love it, recommendable for first time wine drinkers.

Old Town Cafe

ABBEY: I told Wilma if we can have coffee at Old town cafe in Suntec and she said yes. Unfortunately we didn't have a chance to go.

We had a scheduled dinner at the Big Splash but we were an hour early at the time. We looked around the place and found this cafe. This is our time. We got a basket of fries, white coffee and my fave teh-c all for 8sgd. As their cafe name boasts you will got a feeling like you were living in the old times as the ambiance is dimly-lighted and the aroma of roasted coffee fills the place.

WILL:  We arrived early than our booked time. Almost an hour earlier for dinner to 1-twenty six. So we decided to have some coffee first. We saw the ever wanted Old Town Coffee shop located at the Big Splash-East Coast Park.
I am a lady that is always adding up vanilla in my coffee buy their White coffee has its perfect blend. No need of anything. We also ordered a fries. And who will not love their french fries, it is not hollow and crispy.
This is really must try not only by the locals but also by the tourist.

Coffee and Toast

ABBEY: As the other cafes our full we went for Coffee and Toast to have hot drinks after dinner. Since Chat hasn't tasted the kaya toast with soft-boiled eggs yet, we ordered a pair of them. I got my teh-c, tea with creamer and it tasted good. One cup is 1.30sgd and toast is at 1.1sgd. We also went here to have breakfast after our night shift.

WILL: We had our dinner at The Gallerie and went here for some coffee. This is located at Esplanade MRT Circle Line just before you go to Suntec Convention or Marina Square.
And as per Chat, this is her first time to eat kaya toast. Imagine, for almost 4 years staying here, she doesn't even bother to taste my fave food of Singapore.
The kaya toast is nice, as usual taste. The coffee, as always, i am delighted by its taste. 3 coffees and 2 kaya toast order costs not more than 10$. Save up!

F&N Fruit Tree Fresh - Carrot mixed fruit juice with Wolfberry

ABBEY: Wow, this is a new variety. Its got a sweet, rusty taste but its good and healthty. A liter costs 3.95sgd. We bought it and had it tasted also by our parents. They liked the juice with a new twist just as they do on the carrot juice only.

WILL: Wolfberry or aka goji berry was now a part of F&N juices. Its mixed with carrot. The taste? delicious. Try this and I know you will love it.

Gong Cha -Singapore

ABBEY: Another bubble tea? Yes it is, but this tastes great. What I like the most is their Golden Ovaltine. We also tried their coffee once. One drink costs 3sgd. We also had the chance to avail a 1 dollar off from Singtel when you top-up.

WILL: I do not have any opportunity to take their long queue at International Plaza but when we saw Rex performance at the LaSalle, hehe, to our delight for no queue at all, we grabbed our singtel voucher then bought a Golden Ovaltine.
There is something in that cup, its like a chocolate pulp in every sip of this yummy drink.
This excitement for this Gong Cha doesn't stop here, after finishing the magnificent stroll of Istana, Abbey took a queue at Plaza Singapura branch. Ordered again the unforgettable Ovaltine and coffee. Very addictive! We love it!

Starbucks VIA -Ready Brew

ABBEY:
A DIY Starbuck's coffee? Yes, they launch their microground coffee for 3.90 per pack of three. The preparation is simple: pour out a pack to 180ml of hot water. Don't stir yet for 6 minutes. Add your milk and sweeter. Voila, you can sip the great taste of hazelnut, columbia coffee, or decaf.

WILL: Starbucks instant coffee finally arrived Singapore. Early this year, when we went to Indonesia, they market a pack of coffee that do not need a coffeemaker  but taste like a freshly brewed coffee...we bought it. Then it ruined our starbucks tumbler! Gosh! The impurities get inside the tumblers design. The supposedly morning delight turned in horror. Our tumbler met our trashcan. :'(

Now, of course this is from Starbucks, reliable! We bought their trial park for 3.90$. Shocked! No impurities! The taste is better than brewed! Lovvvve it!

Tom N Toms Coffee

ABBEY: This is a 24-hour coffee shop located at Icon Village in Tanjong Pagar. We met her jargon after her last day at the office. As usual when I go to coffee shop, I try their chocolate concoction. It was good. Cup price starts at 5sgd. This is a nice alternative to the usual SB or CBTL.

WILL: Korean fanatic? What can you say in a Korean cafe? In their shop you can watch concerts of their famous lady/boy groups. Nice lei. Oh, after ordering the drinks, they will give you a saucer like black thing that will light up once your drinks are ready to be pick-up at the counter.
They were located at Icon Village near Tanjong Pagar MRT. I ordered a herbal tea...rosemary! Nice very natural and their prices is not that costly than other coffee shops. But be aware, even this place is open for 24 hrs it is always full. People love them a lot. :)

Share Tea Singapore

ABBEY:
This is another pearl drink shop that opens at International Plaza. But the great thing is the taste are all good. We tried Shared Tea's Cocoa Lover. Of course, normal sugar level, normal-sized pearls in a medium drink. Truly for a cocoa lover; very good  concoction. The price is still discounted at 2.6sgd.

WILL: Every lunch this bubble tea named Share Tea that was originated from Taiwan always have a long queue. Hehe, dahil tsismosa ako and i dont want to wait for minutes, i bought their best seller Aloha after office hour ;)
The verdict? Very refreshing! the freshness of the cup pacify my racked up nerve.
Oh, you can ask to put some small/large pearls in your drink, no added charge, and you can choose how many sugars you want to be with it. ;)
As usual No sugar for me, healthier. Love it. Recommended!

Lipton Pyramid Tea Bags

Abbey:
Wow, a different packaging from Lipton. From what I've read, there's a reason why they test for this shape of tea bag. As I recall, it has something to do with the preservation of the aroma and to prevent the leaves to be easily burnt. Even the bags were has a different shape now, it still gives the Lipton quality flavor. And by the way thetea bags that we were used to are still available in the market.

WILL: Amazed for the new packing and conconction of deiffent tea leaves. Abbey bought this tea for 4$ per box of 25 teabags.
The taste?, lovelier than the ordinary packed Lipton.

The Pigeonhole

ABBEY:
We planned for a long time to go to this cafe. This is located at Tanjong Pagar area. What we read from the reviews of this place is good. So one night after we had dinner, me, Wilma and Chat went to Pigeon Hole. It was a cozy place. Not like an ordinary coffee shop, the ambiance makes you feel like very comfortable. You can have a sip while sitting in a park bench, a bean bag, or a couch. They also serve dinner, wine, and also ciders. I tried their chocolate babycino. It was good. Displayed books can be bought but not the furniture. Maybe some of their patrons have already asked them how much they sell their coffee table. It was a unique experience.

WILL: Pigeonhole cafe, just few steps behind our office.
Well their coffee is a bit cheaper with some well known SB and CBTL, their place is very relaxing and their coffee?, the best seller have somewhat kick. I think they spike some alcoholic drink lah, but i don't get tipsy. ;)
Worth for a try, on our next visit, i hope we can hear the local bands or see some book signing ;)

Bliss

ABBEY:

Every week we never forget to buy juice. By the time we tasted all the different flavor of fruit juices, we came across this yogurt drink.
We picked the one mixed with strawberry. It taste like the candy I used to buy in Philippines; the only difference - this is liquid.
A bottle costs 5sgd. Its a good thing that we have an alternative from the wide variety of juices offered in our local grocery store.

WILL: I am on bliss whenever i have a yogurt in our fridge. Once bought this yogurt drink a substitute for weekly supply of juices. Taste? Enough for me to drink the half bottle in one dining! A good source of vitamins. Buy it!

Twinings of London Tea

ABBEY: Wilma likes this tea, but won't buy it always as it was a bit expensive compared to Lipton. But the leaves taste great. They also have teas infused with berries, ginger, etc. When we were at the grocery, she asked me if we can buy a box of those teas, I said yes and she was ecstatic. The box has four teabags in each of the four flavors. Also the drink will not have a bitter after taste even the bag is soaked in water for a long time.

WILL: Literally, Its my cup of tea. The first twinings i tasted was the four red fruit flavored a pasalubong from Italy.
From there, i keep on sipping their teas. Unlike others, u must take off the teabag after 3 minutes or the taste will be bitter, this twinings, even whole day mo ibabad, damn!, it will just give you the full flavor of it.
In philippines it costs 190Php per box of 25, here it costs 6.95SGD.
