Ruffles: Hot Wings and Bacon & Loaded Bacon and Cheddar Potato Skins

ABBEY: We were looking for kimchi at Cold Storage when we stumbled upon these two new flavors of Ruffles chips. We grabbed a bag of each flavor and headed home. Oh yes, we didn’t forget the kimchi.

We preferred the classic hot wings flavor over the loaded bacon and cheddar as the latter is too salty for us.

The classic hot wings leaves a sour aftertaste as well as heat like if your eating real hot chicken wings. Next time we’ll try with soda.

Goodbye healthy eating again :)

Ruffles: Hot Wings and Bacon & Loaded Bacon and Cheddar Potato Skins

WILL: We found a gem! Ruffles newly released flavours.. The Classic Hot Wings and Loaded Bacon and Cheddar Potato Skins.

It is unexpected that the Classic Hot Wings is really good. The spiciness and the sour taste is rewarding! The other flavor, haha, really tasted like bacon. But I will still go for real bacon..you know what I mean?

I am addicted with chips again! Oh my gosh! Anyway, like any addiction of mine, this will pass through. My little cheats!

Oishi's Rinbee Cheese Sticks

ABBEY: Back when I was a kid, Rinbee is one of my favorite chips from Oishi manufacturer. We used to make it as pasta during our cooking games or just munch it as we watch our Saturday morning cartoons.

It cost a peso back then but you won't settle for only one. You'll definitely crave for more of those cheese sticks.

WILL: This is one of the famous snack in the Philippines.  Okay, okay.. This isn't a snack, this is junk food.. Hehe..

When my brother went here for vacation, I asked him to bring some for me and then the rest was a history. Haha!

The taste is still the same, good thing! Oh, I really miss the cheesy, crunchy sticks.

Oishi Beer Match Potato Fries Tomato Ketchup Flavor

ABBEY: My first encounter of this baked snack was when I was a freshman in highschool. This is one of the chips from Beer-Match line of products. The price was 2.50php back then. Now its 1.1sgd. It comes in two flavors; plain salted and with tomato ketchup. Once you open the pack you can see fries-cut delight and it has almost the same taste as real fries. I like both flavors. It's a good thing that Potato Fries is available in Shengshiong so I can easily buy when I crave for it. Another chips we like from Beer Match is their Cracklings.

WILL: I am surprised when Abbey go back home and he got this chips. My immediate question is, "Where do you bought it?, curious with a big grin. He answered that it was from ShengSiong. I really miss this chips.
I think Beer-Match chips was first introduced in Philippine market when I was on my high school days, and the taste was never been compromised for more than a decade. For healthier chips, buy this potato fries, this was baked not fried. :)

Ribbed Cracklings in Old Fashioned Salt & Vinegar

ABBEY: I like this chips since I first tasted it on my freshman year of high school. Munching on them is like eating chicharon. The sour-salty-mild hot taste will make you crave for more. Back then this is only 7php. Now its 1.8sgd. Even expensive its good to have it once in a while.

WILL: Well, this is one of the chips I can'y resist when I back home. The sour taste is really perfect, even though it leaves my lips in a translucent color, I cannot stop to much it. haha! It only costs P7.00 in every sari-sari store.
       Thanks Oishi.

Jack & Jill Chippy Barbecue Flavor

ABBEY: Red means it has the original flavor of Chippy. The flavor is barbecue and the chips is a good match for an ice-cold soda. A big pack costs almost 4sgd. This is one of our munchies when we watch our favorite tv series.

WILL: "Isa nga pong chippy, yung pula.", thats my dialogue almost every night at one of sari-sari around hour house. I only buy the small one to control myself not eating too much junkies before going to sleep.
Chippy, I love you that even I am here in Singapore, we are always looking forward to buy some of you in Lucky Plaza. :)

La-La Fish Crackers

ABBEY: This fish crackers became famous during my high school days. As we wait for our teacher someone will buy from the canteen and then we will indulge on the chips. You can have the largest pack for less than 20php. Sometimes we share it together in our parents room along with the stories that happened on the day. Unfortunately I'm not allowed to eat this now as I developed allergies on seafood.

WILL: Who do not know this chips? OMG!, if you do not know this go to the nearest supermarket and buy this uniquely delicious fish flavored chips. Thanks to April for this pasalubong :)
On my 4th year of highschool, it seems that this chips became a big part of it. Recess and before going home, we are munching this Lala. Sarap tlga nya, some of my friends used thousand islands to be its dip. :) try it. It only costs P10 per pack

Baked Doritos - Nacho Cheese

ABBEY: It's the same taste but with different texture and packaging. The baked one is smoother and lighter and has lesser oil; allowing you to enjoy the richness of the flavor. Price remains the same at 3.95sgd.

WILL: Baked! Its was baked chips! The difference? Each chips is thinner and crispier, of course the texture is different from the fried ones.
Love it! Got to buy for more.

Lechon Manok

ABBEY: This is Wilma's favorite. One of her closest friend gave it to her as pasalubong. The taste is a little spicy and has a good chicken flavor. The chips are sold at a peso a piece. Just go to a sari-sari store and I'm sure they have it or not as its sold out.

WILL:  Omg! I just do not know, I just miss this chips. Ha! Remembering how I hide those little packets  from my parents. Haha. Anyway, thank you Kathy for this pasalubong! I really really appreciate this. Shocks, ang babaw ko tlga. Haha.
For decades, Lechon Manok is still alive and still keeps the filipino happy and that includes me. :) sarap talaga and si abbey nakikiagaw sa akin. :)

Clover Chips

ABBEY: This is one of the chips that I used to munch from elementary until today. A large pack costs 3.95sgd. The flavors are cheese, barbecue, and bacon and cheese; but the cheese is the most popular. Maybe due to public demand they made it more cheesier now. Indulging in the cheese flavoring stuck in your finger is the last thing you do after finishing a pack. Don't worry we take this in moderation.

WILL:  I don't know why but all chips have a bad image to my parents that this will cause a lot of diseases and may cause me a stone in kidney... But!, there is one chip that I can munch in front of them actually we share a lot of this since my childhood days. Haha.
This clover chips never leaves the list of mother when we go to grocery and it was passed to me. Haha.
Mabuhay ka Clover Chips. Ikaw ang natatangi para sa aming pamilya na mabuting chichirya. Haha. Love the crispiness and the flavor. :)

Red Rock Deli Potato Chips - Sweet Chili & Sour Cream

ABBEY: I went to "The Supermarket" at Raffles link to buy TGIF's potato skin chips. Unfortunately they're out of stock. I looked for a replacement from their wide array of chips and I found Red Dock Deli Potato chips. It was on a discounted price at 6sgd.

WILL: From Malaysia, Almost 3 days I do not have a chip intake.. poor me, but when I went back home, OMG, I have this at our cabinet.
The taste? well, this is the only time that I realized that chilli is good to be with sour cream..hehe. The thickness of each chips is just right to handle the crispness.
Love my baby. Thanks for this!

Doritos Spicy Nachos

ABBEY: Its package is colored hot red but the nacho is not that spicy and I like it :) As I munch the chips I can smell the aroma of chili but tasted a strong cheesy flavor. One pack is 3.95sgd at any supermarket. I think it is best match with an ice-cold soda.

WILL: Are u tired of the same cheese flavored Doritos? Why not try this bright orange nachos? Spicy version of the said chips. Even Abbey don't need to worry, the spiciness is bearable ;) worth to try.

Double Decker - Cheese Ring Minis

ABBEY:
This is SG's version of Pinoy's cheese ring. Yes, the one with royal blue package with superhero. It's hard to be away from home, so be resourceful. When we first tasted it, we craved for more. The whole pack didn't last for more than a day. The chips cna be bought at any supermarket and also in other convenience store. A pack costs no more than 2sgd.

WILL: Chat knew me a lot! She knows how addicted i am with chips. Before the gown fitting. Chat gave me a pack of this cheese ring! Oh, taste like the one i munched back in Philippines.
Ha! Sarap! I know they really packed it in small size so you can crave for more. :) so cheesy!

Lay's Stax

Abbey:
We had our weekly grocery when we bought Lay's stax. The packaging is like Pringles' but the contents are different. The chips are thicker for Lay's and flavorful as well. One "stax" costs 1.5sgd and we bought a couple of them. The day after buying them, we ate the chips while having our movie night.

WILL: Wow, this stax is way better their foil packed chips. Why? Less grease. Compared to pringles, this is thicker and bared a lot of flavors :) a new competition for Pringles, costs 1.50$

Pringles

ABBEY:

Once you pop, you can't stop. This doesn't happen to us as we give up to munch the entire contents of a Pringles' can.
They always have a promo, their large cans for a lesser price. So big that even me can't finish it at one sitting. I ended tired of chewing those delicious chips.
What we like the most are the original, sour cream and onion, and cheese flavor.
A can costs 3 to 4 sgd. They even sell with lesser price if you buy 2; giving you more chips to enjoy.

WILL: Stop! Stop! Stop! Who can stop the munch once the lid of these Pringles popped? Maybe others, but me.
One tube is not enough. This crispy thin potato based snack is a historic. No one can compares. The voluminous cheese tube costs not more than $3 each. Love it!

Ruffles (rrrrRufles Have Ridges)

ABBEY:
I always get a hug whenever Wilma will say thank you for this bag of chips. They're full of flavor and you will always ask for more. A bag cost less than 4SGD and you can buy it in any grocery islandwide.

WILL: If you will see my room, my desk is always full of bags of chips. Lying on my bed and eating chips while watching tv is my distresser. I do that every night for decades, so its very hard for me change that. And that Abbey's life became complicated Haha! One part of his cabinet was always full of chips and ruffles cannot be out of the list.
Every flavor was a nice one. The blend of salt, cream, and even oil was so good that i cannot stop myself to eat it all. Love ruffles. Love chips. Love abbey :)

Cheez Mania (Cheese Curls)

ABBEY: This is one of Wilma's fave. A can of chips full of cheese. I don't know what it is but she delights in getting the cheese that covers her fingers. Maybe she just loves the flavor. Even though its cheap, 2SGD, she manages not to indulge herself over because of health reasons. One or two is enough to satisfy the crave:)

WILL: This is the chichi na natikman ko na the best for me when I was a child. It came from Japan through ate Edna. Maybe this is the start of my craziness over cheeses.

Thank you Nabisco. More More Chichi hehehe!
