FREE and RELAX Sailing Adventure in Singapore🇸🇬 Setting Sail with DBS Bank / How to book DBS Sailing

ABBEY: Sailing at Marina Bay, let’s go! You will be transferred by some kind of dingy boat to the sail boat.

We were aboard a bigger boat this time. It took a couple of minutes before we caught wind and the skipper used this to explain to us the safety protocol and assure all of us that it won’t capsize. However he told us that this is not “really” sailing as we won’t get wet. Haha. It’s good to cruise in Marina Bay; you’ll get different view of the Singapore skyline. We were also given the opportunity to put the sail up (it was hardwork) and not only that but also to be a helmsman.

Imagine steering the wheel of the boat. Wow! Don’t worry it is fun and you’ll be guided. Until next sailing!

WILL: Be creative how you’ll date your partner. No budget to splurge? Don’t worry DBS is there to help you “wow” your loved ones for FREE. DBS Sailing is free for all. Yes for all. The registration is open every 17th of a month and ticket is pretty fast to be filled up.

What to expect? A dingy boat to pick you up near Marina Bay Customs House’s wharf, a sail boat and DBS Bank introduction, and 30-minute sailing filled with waves and breeze!

I guarantee you not all have a chance to experience this kind of date. Mark your calendar and goodluck! Fastest Fingers First!

Yardbird Singapore's MUST TRY SUNNY MORNING BREAKFAST SET | Marina Bay Sands Singapore Restaurant

ABBEY: Wilma was enticed of Yardbird’s waffles so we went there for a brunch and ordered a pair of Sunny Morning. Each set (36SGD) comes with freshly-squeezed juice, coffee or tea and one entrée. The juices are great: Green Giant (cucumber, celery, kale and honey) and Carotine Kicker (apple, orange, sweet potato and maple syrup). I preferred the former.

For the main I had Crispy chicken and egg biscuit sandwich. The serving is quite small but packs flavor. The melted cheese covered the succulent crispy chicken and really goes well with the biscuit.

Next time I’ll try the Chicken N Waffles N Watermelon.

WILL: Our siblings send us money to splurge on foods. So, this is the right time to spend without guilt. And one of our target restaurants way back 2019 is Yardbird located in The Shoppes of Marina Bay Sands. My goal is to taste test their famous waffles and the best time to eat those is on morning, so we booked a table and arrived around 1030am.

They have a $36 Sunny Morning Set and I chose to have Green Giant Juice, Salted Caramel Waffle and Hot Tea. The juice is impressive! Celery is not overwhelming amd the cucumber is refreshing! And that is my best waffle that I ever had. Not airy but packed and crispy! There is a tendecy that may get dry if you’re a slow eater like me. Haha! Just ask for syrup. Ok? The tea do not taste like burnt leaves.

Will be back? Yes of course! Next time will check the other food options like for dinner or lunch.

Koma Singapore | Modern Japanese Restaurant at Marina Bay Singapore

ABBEY: Yey! We got a reservation at Koma. The booking have a long list. You need to reserve your table two months ahead. We went there on Christmas Day. Entering the restaurant and walking to your table will transport you a place in Japan. There are tori gates as well as large bell. You will not remember you’re inside a mall. The ambiance got a homey and quiet feel.

We tried their California maki and I got barbecued beef short ribs for main. The beef is tender and the sauce is not that sweet. Perfect to be folded inside lettuce.

Recommended to be tried but I’m not that much of a fan.

WILL: Booking Koma is pretty tedious task for me. I ended up to be on a waiting list… TWICE! Huhu! I marked my calendar and on the first hour they opened the reservation for 25th December, I straight away get the 1130am lunch.

When we saw the their festive menu, without second thoughts we chose to have an ala carte meal instead. I ordered, Spicy Tofu Hot Pot.

I am a sucker for spicy food last December. Well, blame it to my hormones. Haha. Taste? Not bad but quite more than okay. It supplied a dose of spice for my day! Haha! It actually can serve for 2pax. California Maki is just normal but their wasabi is outstanding.

Beside the food, people are queuing for Koma at MBS to somewhat feel the ambiance of Japan. Guests will be welcomed by orange arches, a reminiscent of the Fushimi Inari Shrine. The huge dining room complements the 2.5m tall “FACE Japanese bell", which presides above a traditional Japanese foot bridge.

Well who can beat that? Haha.

Natureland Spa Premium at Marina Bay Sands

ABBEY: At last after almost two years, our bodies got themselves a massage from a premium spa Natureland (Marina Bay Sands). Have a reservation before you head there. The session was 30 minutes behind the schedule but we got a nice couple room. I told the masseuse not to be fooled by Wilma’s built and they can give her a hard massage.

I enjoyed the neck cracking and “elbowing”. I felt my spine decompressed, my shoulders and calves relaxed. I was continuously asked if I’m OK, which I am. All the muscle stiffness is gone. I turned into a jelly. Haha.

We were given ginger tea and water after the session. Definitely recommended!

WILL: Natureland Spa branches are sprouting in many places in Singapore and one of their newest premier branch is at Marina Bay Sands.

We booked 4PM and arrived on time but I am not sure what happened and our schedule was pushed to 440pm. Before 5PM we are already at one of their couple room and we were handed a disposable underwears. The room, the sheets are clean and pleasantly smells. We chose exotic oil aroma for our massage.

Abbey advised my masseur that I need a hard massage and it is the start of my new life! Haha! The masseur frantically kneaded my back, my shoulder and side of my ribcage. It is a total relief. This is one if the few spa that I will give a 5-Stars. Haha!

Definitely will comeback by April.

The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands

ABBEY:
Nung sinabi ni Wilma na pupunta kami sa Marina Bay Sands. Akala ko pupunta kami sa casino. Hehehe. Wala naman kaming pera kaya nagtaka ako. MBS is very awesome and majestic. Ang ganda nung tatlong building. Tapos connecting the 3 buildings on top was an ark-shaped structure. Tulad ng ark dun sa 2012. Hehe.

Opposite ng MBS is yung the Shoppes.

WILL: At Marina Bay Station (North South Line) look for Exit A (Bus Stop) board bus nos. 133, 97 and 97e. Or better, if you don't have the patience transferring from trains to another bus.. take a cab :).
The intricate design of The Shoppes is amazing. We went there a month ago. So di pa halos bukas ang stores. It's like that I am in a Duty Free shops sa mga international airports. If you have a lot of spare money to spend on, why not try this exquisite mall. I even saw a lingerie worth SGD1,700.00 mahal pa sa suite ni Abbey.
They have a gondola look-a-like a $10.00 ride. You'll just be driven by man on the stretch of mall, back and forth.
Don't worry for your pocket, an air-conditioned hawker is available inside. Dami ding filipino working inside each boutiques, nakakatuwa.
We will go back there, for sure. :)
