Chili's Singapore Big Mouth Burger Day 2013

ABBEY: This is our second time to participate in Chili's Big Mouth. I was planning to be in the Big Mouth Challenge where will you eat as much burger as you want on a given time. I decided not to as I'm not prepared. We had our Big Mouth dinner at their JCube branch along with Vincent.

As anticipated, the queue was long. You have to wait for 45 minutes to an hour so you can be accommodated. Or you can list your number and they'll call you once a table is available. We lined up on their waiting area and within 20 minutes, the staff ushered us on our table. All burger on that day is priced at a minimum of 8.80sgd. The burgers usually cost from 15sgd to 25sgd. A sure treat :)

Our table is located across the kitchen and as curious as we are, we kept looking as what is happening there.  People are busy preparing food and you can smell the aroma of beef and fries. Our curiosity led to a bowl of chips, a compliment from the house. The chef assumed that we were impatient for our order. He even apologized we waited that long. But we told him we just wanted to look how things get done. I got my Southern Smokehouse Bacon Big Mouth burger which comes with big serving of fries.

I just dug in when the food was served. It was a big and heavy meal and it satisfied my hunger. The beef pattie was moist and juicy and the fries were crispy. It was a great dinner; low-cost, sumptuous food, and great stories with loved ones.

WILL: It's Chili's 3rd Annual Big Mouth Burger Day last 26th of June, and yes!!!, we were part of it again! This time we invaded the Chili's JCube branch.

6PM and the queue as long as MRT, and we were so lucky that we are on the first ten. We were given a table after 30minutes. Our seat was just beside the kitchen, and from there, we saw how dedicated the chef and the people doing the cooking. We are really amazed on their job.

Suddenly a bowl of nachos arrived our table and the waiter told us that is on the house, given by the chef! Gosh, maybe they saw us that we are drooling over the food. Hehe!

Our ordered arrived and as usual, you need really a big mouth to take a small bite on their burgers. I really love my Mushroom-Swiss Burger, it tastes like milk and the patty's texture is so soft!

Would love to go in here even without discount! See you more often, Chili's! Looking forward on next 2014's Big Mouth Burger!

Wheels and Wieners

ABBEY:
This diner is at located at 25A Perak Road in Little India. With table settings and decorations set at 1950's this will definitely get you back in time. The staff advised us to try their beef stew and bacon at 10sgd ( usually 25). I got their Five O with fries at 16sgd. The food is delicious specially the hotdog. The fries is a bit drenched in oil though. We munched on the food as we check out Chat's latest phone.

WILL: Via viber, Abbey said, "On Monday we have a date." then I replied, "Let me check first my schedule.". All I can do is smirk when he send a sarcasm sms "Tsk! Too busy?!". Haha!
Of course, who am I to resist the offer? So I free up my heavy schedule for that Monday and Chat is free too so we all meet up at Wheels and Wieners.
It was located in the heart of Singapore's Little India and surrounded by backpackers' flats. As we enter this restaurant, its like we blasted back to past. I got their Monday promo $10 for Jack's Beef and Bacon Stew. The taste?, awesome. The thickness and lovely aroma of the stew clicked well with the garlic bread. Abbey's one was served and after taking a bite, he told me to taste it. Exaggerated it may seem but the hotdog really tastes good. And so Chat's standard in food was met by this diner. We really love the hotdogs in here.
Before going back to our pads, I visited their washroom, and I was astounded also by its design. Unlucky, my bag and camera is not with me, never got a chance to take a photo.
This is very recommendable. If happens that you are along Sin Ming Tower, pay a visit in here. :)

The Handburger - Tea Time Set

ABBEY: Wow another treat for the Handburger fanatics like me. Order a Handburger tea set and have a cup of tea or coffee free.

We got a larger-than-bite-size chicken and pulled-pork burgers. The size is enough to fill the hunger for a quick snack. Fit for tea-time. One set costs less than 7S$. Very reasonable as the sandwiches taste great.

WILL: Before going for a hair coloring session at Bishan, I asked abbey to get some snacks first after our office. So from Suntec, we walked our way to Handburger to taste their tea set.
It consists of 2 bite size burger, aka sliders, and free coffee or tea for only $6.90. Actually one slider is enough for me, the incomparable handmade bun of them made me full. The buns made their burgers deliciously different from others. We hope that we can try all their amazing burgers.
This is very restaurant is very recommendable to tourists. Never leave Singapore without dining here. ;) ooops, I was never paid to do this plugging.
We dined at Raffles City Branch, a few steps away from City Hall MRT Station.
