Tapa King Singapore

ABBEY:

"Sa wakas, nagbukas din". Yan ang nasabi ko after ko maghintay na magbukas ang Tapa King. Siguro talagang sobrang aga lang namin nagpunta dun. Usual opening nila is 9am. We ordered our breakfast. Wow! Filipino food sa abroad. Makakatikim na din ako ng sariling atin. Pinoy food came with Filipino serving, ang konti  :( But that's ok. Habang kumakain ako, I'm delighted kasi yun yung lasang hinahanap ko. At only 6SGD, masarap na breakfast mo.
I'll definitely come back for more tapa :)

WILL: Well, it was my 2nd day here in Singapore when Abbey told me that he misses tapsilog and ask me to join him to Lau Pa Sat after his shift.
From Esplanade, we went to Tapa King and willing to wait until 9am for them to open their store. But our grumbling tummies is on strike. Abbey is a bit mad kasi medyo late n sila nagbukas, Filipino time ika nga..
They present their food without a plate, they used a different kind of paper. Then they have the free soup, at ang masarap nilang vinegar, yikes, I am drooling just thinking again of it. :)
Great to have filipino investors around the globe. Making us proud to be Filipinos. :) Visit TapaKing, support filipino products :)

MacRitchie Reservoir

ABBEY:
This is the La Mesa watershed of SG, actually ONE of the watersheds. I believe they have more than 30 watersheds. Kapos sa tubig ang Singapore. Nagkaroon pa ng time na nag-i-import sila nito from Malaysia.
This turned to be a good idea. Kasi naging recreation area din ito. Nature-tripping, fishing, jogging, picnic, trekking and many more. Syempre, libre ang tubig, watershed e. May canteen din sila na open.
One day, I'll be able to walk sa HSBC hanging bridge nila. :)

WILL: Forgive me I have sinned. Why? Even a glimpse of La Mesa Dam in Quezon City ay wala, there's an urge to go there but time didn't favored on me.
We went there by train and by bus and of course we are still like a children.. amazed on what we saw. MacRitchie is a very clean and well planned reservoir.
Too bad, the hanging bridge is close every Monday. Anyway, Abbey promised me that we will go back there for another jog :)
No entrance fee and there is available shower for every jogger. :) Saya no? Free ulit :)

Mt. Faber Singapore

ABBEY: I've seen the ads of Jewel Box and dreaming of having a dinner there with Wilma. I know that plan will materialize soon kasi naakyat ko na yung Mount Faber. You can get to Alexandra arch 6 stops after you ride bus #100 at Harbourfront Centre. Signs giving directions and distances are placed all throughout the trek. You will appreciate nature's beauty as you go. Tall trees, vines, twigs, and insects.
When we reached the top, nakita ko na yung Jewel Box. After that we rode a bus pababa at kumain ng paborito kong chicken rice.

WILL: In times, it is better to explore different places on foot. Better to lay on the power of your feet.
We started hiking Mt. So we have 2 kms. to fill in and lot of sweat to produce.
Breathing in the fresh air from the forest to where we stand at Forest Walk is such a gift, yun nga lang medyo jumpy ako for the reptiles. When we saw a wooden bridge. We awed. Shocks, it is so beautiful. The Hendreson Waves should not be missed by anyone. The architecture is so great, the view of full grown trees and ang nakakalula na taas nya. You can have a picnic here, a photo session or even a sightseeing lng. You'll enjoy it.
After that ribs like bridge. Jewel Box is the next attraction, but we don't ate our dinner there, maybe next time. We continue to hike the peak of Mt. Faber. here, you can see the view of Singapore. It's a city but so green.
Tired. We decided to take the bus for our way to dinner. But no regrets at all.
