Istana Singapore

ABBEY: We were overwhelmed by the queue. Its a long way before you can enter the palace grounds. That's how people are eager to visit the president's home. A fee of 1sgd for guest will be collected. Nearest MRT station is Dhoby Ghaut. The park is beside Plaza Singapura. A tall white gate welcomed us and after that a wide green lawn. People sat on it and soaked under the sun.
Walking up the path and we reached the palace. It is a great structure. For 2sgd we entered the residence. It showcases the gifts from the countries who visited Singapore. We also get to see the great hall where the meeting with other leaders were held. Outside the palace is the fountain and Victoria's garden. As the sun sets we headed for the exit. The park is also about to close

WILL:  Open house at Istana?.. and we grabbed that great opportunity to see whats inside with that big white gates. As we arrived at Dhoby Ghaut station we saw the very long line of people but we also queued, no choice Hehe.
After a long wait for more than one hour, finally we are in the Singapore's President office.
The view was jaw dropping! Very green and they have a vast space that serves as golf course. The building is magnificent, we entered it and paid $2/person, taking pictures/videos is prohibited.
As I thought of the Malacañang Palace, I wondered when it will be open to public for viewing. Kaso that thought will remain in my head napakaimposible na makapasok ang ordinaryong tao sa palasyo. Ang kukulit kasi ng nga tao sa atin, security of the president is at risk if they open those gates.
       Love this experience :)

Journey of Dreams

ABBEY:  When we first rode the flyer we were greeted by a long queue. A lot of people are excited to ride the world's largest observation wheel. Innovating ways to attract more tourist, they built this Journey of Dreams. In here they exhibit the beginnings of the wheel; how they built it and the details of a capsule. They also show different arts made of recycleable materials and metals. Along the hall are the different awards this attraction got. At the end of the museum is the entrance of the flyer.

WILL:  On the past it is only a dream and now, it is a reality. This gigantic observatory is really an icon and a must-to-see when going here at Singapore. It is our second flight and to the addition of every flight, there is a journey that explains how this dream became a reality.
Journey of dreams is very informative. Kudos to Singapore Flyer in adding this up :)

National Geographic Cafe Singapore

ABBEY: At last we set foot inside the NatGeo cafe. Wilma got her tea time set for 10sgd. It includes a pot of tea and a slice of banana chocolate cake. That's what the staff recommended. For me, I got turkey ham wrap and soda. At the cafe food is not the only item that is on sale; tables and chairs are included too. You can check for the price tag.

WILL: National Geographic just do not sell shirts and magazines, here in their VivoCity branch, they put up a cafe. We are wanting to dine here but the distance from our work do not supports the idea. Then here we go, need to meet our friend Chat, biro mo yun nasa Vivo na kami sya kakagising lng. Hehe. Then it gave us the idea to eat here. Abbey ordered a turkey wrap and a cola, for me I availed their tea time worth $9 consisted of tea and a cake.
I love their tea. Real teas, I mean they served me a tea leaves in a pot and not am ordinary teabag that I for myself can buy at groceries. We chose banana choco cake and its really terrific. Nice ambiance, nice tables and chairs... All in all for me this is recommendable for a romantic and serious business talks. ;p
