Golden View Hotel Batam

ABBEY: This a 4-star hotel located in the south-west portion of Golden City. We checked in at 6pm after our Batam day tour. Their superior room is a good one, very clean and looks elegant. Queen-size bed,  spacious room, coffee table, and bathtub. We had dinner at the Beer Garden overlooking the swimming pool. Dinner was chicken steak with mixed veggies and orange juice. I had a good night sleep, a very relaxing one.

WILL: It is 4 Star Hotel in Batam. A typical hotel with swimming pool, jacuzzi, restaurants, gym, a spa service, but what i really like in them was their very spacious room, their bathtub, the seafood restaurant and a very screaming hot water. I do not know their room rate because it was included in their tour pakage.

PBA (Philippine Basketball Association)

ABBEY:
This was my first time to watch the national basketball league of the Philippines. We had a bit of hard time looking for our seats but we managed to see it. The experience was great and fun. You can see the side shows of fun during timeouts. They also have lucky draw where the man beside me has been picked. I still enjoy the game even my team lost :)

WILL: Ginebra! Ginebra! Ginebra!
Yeah. I was a Ginebra fan, i start to love PBA when i was GS. I am always at my brothers' house, means i do not have my personal tv. No choice but to love what they watch. Until on my HS, i am totally hooked-up and there was time tp cut class just to go with my brother and see the PBA Live at Pasay.
I was astounded that Abbey never watched any of his team's game live, and to fulfill this, i bought a ticket (not more than 350php) last April for him to see the Purefoods. Nice game, but not enjoyed a lot because Jawo is not around. Nyahaha.
Sana bumalik na si Jawo para makulay ang PBA /:)

Batam Indonesia

ABBEY: We dreamed for this vacation since we were together in Singapore, but time eluded us. So when opportunity came, I grabbed it and booked for a 2d1n package in batam for only 236sgd. We had a 1hour ferry ride from harbourfront centre ferry station to sekupang ferry terminal. It was a time travel. We left Singapore at 8:30 and reached sekupang at 8:30 also because of the 1-hour difference of timezone. We had our SGD exchanged to rupiah. If u want to be a millionaire/billionaire, come to Indonesia :) we began our day tour. On one of our stop, I became thirsty and bought a can of soda for 15000 :) We went to go-kart racing tracks, temples, factory outlets where I bought my Facebook shirt. We had our lunch at Golden Prawn. Imagine I ordered fried chicken at a seafood restau. Haha. Our last stop for the day tour is a 2-hour massage including a body scrub. The day tour is exhaustive but we had a very good time. Our tour guide, Dennis, gave us tips during our trip. I recommend him whenever you will have trips here. The stay in the hotel is good too. They were very accommodating. Also included in the hotel perk is a set dinner and a buffet breakfast. At 12:30, we left the place, had lunch at A&W in Batam Megamall and hot choco at J.Co while we wait for our return ferry. At 5:30, we reached SG.

WILL:
So now, I am in a different time zone and millionaire again. Second time for Indonesia, but this time its for leisure :). And this is my 3rd island. Now, this my very first to be on a guided tour, wala na time magayos ng itinerary.

Ryan Bang as our tour guide. Haha! Ang kulit nya. Nakakatuwa. Then he always ask us to tip over the performers when we like the shows, anyway, who will not tip over the man who eats fire, glasses and even the masseurs.

The tour took us a whole day. We had a body scrub and massage for two hours. Hotel check in, set dinner at the golden view's beer garden then a more than half day sleep. Terima kasih Mr Lapuz for granting this trip.

Puerto Galera - Philippines

ABBEY:
And the dream became a reality. Walking on white sand, feeling the sea breeze, seeing women in bikinis. Hahaha. I got there with my Baby Wilma and my highschool barkada. It was fun. For the first time, we were complete. Sharing life stories, insights, ideas, and other memories we had. The price per person is 3k, excluding the pasalubong. I hope next time will be on Boracay :)

WILL: Here we go Puerto Galera. Actually I am not excited to be in here, I am not a stranger to this island. Haha! The exciting part about this tour is to be with my man and my first time to go out with another set of Loyalty barkada.
Puerto galera's beach is not good to have a swim, why? You can not anticipate the flow of the waves. But for gimmick? Yeah this is a nice and the nearest beach to go to. Very commercialized and the restaurants along the beach costs too much. So its better for the budget tripper to go to their market place.
Love this adventure. Enjoyed the night of reminiscing with Abbey's HS barkada.

Jurong East Sports Complex - Singapore

ABBEY: This was a treat from Chat. Nearest MRT station to the complex is Chinese Garden. You'll buy ticket at self-service kiosks. No camera and food allowed inside. For only a dollar, lockers are also provided to store your belongings. This water park has a wave pool and that's very great :) Sa uulitin, Chat.

WILL: For only a dollar, you can enjoy in their pools and slides. Yes, with "s". Plural. There's an Olympic size pool, jacuzzi, kiddie pool, wave pool.

I am so happy when i saw Abbey enjoys the waves hitting him. Parang bata. Haha! Picture is not allowed for privacy of other people and proper swimwear is a must.

POMPEII

ABBEY:
This gallery exhibits the remains of the Pompeii after Mt. Vesuvius' eruption. The town is located on a basin- shaped landscape, so it collected all the ashes, lava and fury of the volcano. Only hours when the town was totally buried on debris. Artifacts like earthenware, coins, grind mills and frescoes were displayed. An eye-witness account were also documented. It showed fear and loss of hope for the people during the tragedy. Its a hard lesson to learn and also an eye-opener for us living now.

WILL: Saw the advert at the MRT station and Abbey told me that he wants to see it. I am bit hesitant due the price is quite high, SGD12.00. But when the National Museum announces its free entrance to all its exhibit, of course, we do not have second thoughts to see Pompeii.
At the gate, you can feel a chill, you can see the casts of people and animals died in the volcanic eruption. The exhibit also portrays the abundance of this place.
There is also a 3D movie that shows how the eruption and how this civilization ends. And after the tour in this exhibit, I have a one question in mind. What are the sins committed of Pompeii people that cause God to end their lives.

National Museum of Singapore

ABBEY: Honestly, I didn't manage to visit Phil natl museum. Good thing I found time last christmas to visit singapore's. Its an open-house, meaning u can visit all the galleries free of charge. We went for the purple line and alight at douby ghaut, where we rode the circle line. After alighting at bras basah, we walked for about 300m until we reached the museum. We entered the history of singapore gallery. We were given each a Companion, an electronic narrator that guides you on your way to the gallery. We've seen paintings, artifacts, replicas and other historic icons on the gallery. We also take a look at the food gallery and presidential gifts galllery which exhibits the gifts from other foreign leaders.

WILL: It was December 25 and the Museum opens its door to all the people of here in Singapore, free of charge. Who we are to deny the invitation, hehehe. We alight at Bras Basah station of Yellow Line MRT.
A fine day of Saturday we went there to see the History, the food, presents to their presidents and even the Pompeii, exhibit.
Unlike other museum, here, taking pictures is allowed, but without flash. I really enjoyed the Singapore History Gallery. Entrance for this is SGD10. We have the "companion" a gadget provided by Sennheiser. It will be your personal guide.
      Thank you National Heritage Board.

NEX Mall Singapore

ABBEY: The NEX is the next big thing :) Its located at Serangoon. I got my lenses here. Other shops are still to open. The mall has different signature shops, boutiques, pet and toy shops. It also houses a cinema and a food court. Its convenient for us as the mall is 5 stations away from Punggol. Its better to have an alternative place to stroll.

WILL: This is the newest craze in Serangoon. NEX Mall. We just go in here to look for a store that offers lenses and eyeglasses.

Then after some tests provided by Eyechamp. We roamed around. Daming tao. Holiday rush, their aisles were too small. Now there is a nearer Isetan on us, many foods to choose from, and a bigger supermarket.. the Fairprice Xtra.

Enchanted Kingdom Philippines

ABBEY: Yes, its true. First time ko ito sa EK. Don't have the liberty to go here during my earlier years. Its just a dream for me to go. Wilma got our ticket in a Travel Expo. She said we will definitely go to the theme park once I go back to Philippines. On the day itself, I had butterflies on my stomach. I was very nervous. I got my baptism of fire at the Space Shuttle. Whenever I got into a thrilling ride, I can't manage to shout. I want to suppress it and have my lungs swallowed all my nervousness. But this ride made me scream, an embarrassing one. Hehehe. Ang baba ng sigaw ko. I enjoyed the day at the park. We ended up in a dinner at Leslie's.

WILL: This is my, ahmm, 7th time to go in here. hehehe. Every 26th of December, my oldest brother birthday, its been a ritual for us to go in Amusement Park, and Enchanted Kingdom was visited the most.

I love extreme rides here. The hatest, carousel, it makes me dizzy..ha! Kart Trak, their go kart, love ko mangitgit di pwede na lalampasan ako. Kaya sa apat na magkakapatid, ako lng ang di binigyan ng wheels nila tatay. hahaha.. They knew the best for me.

Very advisable to go in here on weekends for the fireworks display and if you do not want a long queue go in here on steamy hot summer weather. But don't forget your sunscreen protection.

This is the first time of Abbey here, weird diba and I saw in his face that he really enjoys that day.
