Mint - Museum of Toys

ABBEY: I'm checking my mail when this ad caught my attention from one of my subscriptions. They're offering Hearts' day special on their restaurant. One of the freebies is an entrance ticket to their museum which costs 15sgd for adults. The museum occupies the 5 storeys of the building. Collectibles like Beatles' figurines, superheroes (Batman, Superman, even Ultraman), cartoon characters such as Mickey Mouse and Betty Boop were displayed. Dolls from other countries like Japan, China, etc were also exhibited. Some toys are rare only 4 of them are left some only one and they are there in the museum. I enjoyed visiting their galleries especially the Match boxes.

WILL: Mint stands for Moment of Imagination and Nostalgia with Toys and Singapore have this kind of museum. It can be found at Seah St. Just alight at Esplanade MRT station and it is juts few steps away at the famous Raffles Hotel.
The Mint Museum made me to realize how old I am. Haha. Some of the toys in there was the famous ones on my childhood days. :)
$15 per head is the entrance fee but we got it free when we dine at Mr. Punch. Nice experience. About 1 hour and half you can see all the toys inside. :)

Mr Punch Restaurant & Winebar

ABBEY: Three days before the occasion, I started to worry where to held our Hearts' Day dinner. As I searched the net, an ad caught my attention about a museum of toys. I visited the site then voila, they are offering a special 6-course meal for Valentines.

The place is located in Seah Street; 5 minute-walk from Esplanade MRT Station (Exit F). The restaurant is at the basement, museum on the middle floors, and wine bar at rooftop.

Our meal started from a cabbage rolled shrimp topped with caviar.
Next is soup chowder then California maki.

Our main course is chicken roulade with mashed potato and came our heart-shaped pizza topped with salmon, mayo dressing and dashi flakes.

The dessert is white chocolate with glazed dark chocolate along with strawberry rose.

The staff were very welcoming. Food is delicious. Their promotion includes a free 1-year museum membership, 2 tickets, bookmark and vouchers.

The experience is great and we hope to come back to see the toy exhibit.

WILL: Until now I hold on my belief, I still do not believe on Valentine's day. Abbey accepted that and I respect his beliefs in return. He wants to dine out. Okay lah!

After my office hour, we headed to Esplanade MRT station then walked our way to Mint's museum restaurant.

Abbey proudly says to me that this is a 6-course meal with affordable cost and a lots of freebies in to it. Hehe.
Every serving amaze me, as in all of it. What I love most? The appetizer. The siew mai-like food.

The place is pretty nice but its too small, the diners are just beside the kitchen so after this evening, we went home with all the scents of food on our clothing.

The service is quite slow but it can be suffice by the smiles and good gestures of the Mr. Punch people. We will go back here, but we will try their rooftop location.
