Kenangan Coffee Singapore: Affordable Premium Spanish Latte

ABBEY: If you’re like me and have noticed Kenangan Coffee shops popping up everywhere, you’re probably wondering what all the buzz is about. I recently decided to satisfy my curiosity by downloading their app, which came with a nice bonus—a discount on their popular Creamy Aren Latte.

True to its name, the Creamy Aren Latte is rich and silky smooth. It has the perfect blend of sweetness and bitterness that makes each sip truly enjoyable. The temperature was just right, allowing me to savor every taste without it being too hot or too cold. If you’re looking for something equally comforting, I’d also recommend their D Spanish Latte—it’s warm, smooth, and has a subtle sweetness that makes it a perfect pick-me-up.

The atmosphere at their Sengkang branch is cozy and inviting, ideal for catching up with a friend or simply enjoying some quiet time with a delicious coffee. Whether you’re a coffee enthusiast or just in the mood for a relaxing space to unwind, Kenangan Coffee offers a great experience.

Ralph’s Coffee: A Taste of Luxury and Connection at Marina Bay Sands

ABBEY: We planned to visit Ralph’s Coffee a couple of times and that day came. Good thing there are less people on the shop when we arrived. I got the flat white and we ordered a slice of chocolate cake. My coffee tastes the same as with other cafes but the cake is to come back for.

Remember the Matilda Cake? The decadent, sweet-bitter, and moist cake? This is close. You can go by here while thinking what Ralph Lauren’s piece of clothing you would buy, or rest after trying them all or just casually catch up with a friend or loved ones. They do takeaways too.

Ralph’s Coffee: A Taste of Luxury and Connection at Marina Bay Sands

WILL: Nestled in the heart of Marina Bay Sands, Ralph’s Coffee flagship store offers more than just a caffeine fix—it’s an experience. And let me tell you, it’s an experience worth having! As soon as you step in, you're greeted by the inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the chic ambiance that Ralph Lauren is famous for.

Now, let’s talk about the star of the show—the sea salt caramel latte. At just S$8, it’s a steal! Not only does it pack the perfect punch of caffeine, but it’s also not too sweet, striking that ideal balance that keeps you coming back for more. Plus, the price is just right, comparable to your favorite coffee chains.

But what truly sets Ralph’s Coffee apart is the atmosphere. Unlike other cafes where you often see people glued to their screens or buried in books, here it's all about connection. The three tables occupied by patrons were filled with laughter and conversations, as people took the time to bond with each other—a refreshing change indeed.

In conclusion, Ralph’s Coffee is more than just a café—it’s an oasis of warmth and connection in the bustling Marina Bay Sands. If you’re looking for a unique café experience that’s a cut above the rest, I highly recommend giving it a try. Trust me, you’ll feel the difference from the moment you walk in. Cheers to many more delightful coffee dates at Ralph’s!

Luckin coffee, the "Starbucks of China" -- HIGH QUALITY ARABICA BEANS

ABBEY: They say Luckin Coffee is China’s version of Starbucks. It’s offering SGD 0.99 for your first cup of coffee. And it comes with other vouchers from 50% up to 40% off on your cups. Referring a friend will give you another 99-cent coffee.

I tried Vanilla Flavored Creamy Latte. It was smooth, hot, sweet and right amount of bitterness. The same goes to Coconut Velvet Latte and Dark Brown Sugar Velvet Latte. They differ in the type of sweetener.
I also had their Single Origin Espresso (SOE) series Yirgacheffe and Hambella in flat white without added syrup.

Order via the app and have it delivered or pick up. Never had to wait for a long time to get my order.
Try their coffee offerings as alternative for your usual cups.

WILL: Can I say that Abbey is coffee addict? Yep! Not enthusiast but he is totally addicted to it. Haha! So whenever there’s a new cafe or coffee concoction that pops, he dearly needs to try it. And of course, one of that is Luckin’ Coffee.

I am thrilled to know that they infused coconut into their drink which I will tell you that they perfectly done it. Not overly sweet! Creaminess is superb.

Top it all, they have a S$0.99 promo in your first purchase! Good coffee with a good deal. Kudos Luckin’ Coffee.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Singapore - Weekdays Breakfast Set

ABBEY: Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf offers breakfast sets. And the good thing is they opened a branch near our place. One set costs 8.90 SGD but pay for 10.90 SGD and you get a pair.

The sandwiches are of different types but what we like the most is the 9-grain egg mayo. It is soft and fluffy; perfect for the egg mayo filling. The set comes with 8 oz oat milk latte and we asked them to make it extra hot. A good way to start a day!

WILL: The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf is making wave on breakfast scene here in Singapore. $5 is a significant price for most of the food chains and CBTL is embracing it. Almost monthly since last year they came up with different pairings of their lattes and sandwiches.

Of all the pairings, my favourite is 9-Grains Toast and Spanish Latte. 9-Grains is definitely a good choice not only for our health but also for our tastebuds. Hehe. It is gooey amd crunchy. Then wash it down with Spanish Latte! Ohh! My morning is totally charged up!

Two sets will cost you $10.90 so don’t forget to treat your buddies a good meal for a very reasonable price!

Flash Coffee Singapore - Affordable Specialty Coffee in Asia

ABBEY: Flash Coffee campaign is all over socmed. They are the ones with bright yellow and red logo. I decided to try it. They gave free coffees as well as discounted ones. The prices I can say is between hawkers and known coffee companies. They have the usual: americano, cappuccino, latte. But they also have signatures like Melaka/Macadamia/Nutella Latte, Espresso Soda and Milo Espresso Shake.

Each cup I got is having full body flavor and satisfy my craving for a dose of caffeine. They also offer free delivery on Fridays (as of this writing) but unfortunately the closest Flash Coffee branch to us is outside the delivery range.

WILL: Flash coffee stalls are like mushrooms, they can be seen almost everywhere nowadays. Their marketing is to have a barista-curated drinks in a hawker-like price. Abbey is a huge fan of coffee and it causes his curiosity to rise.

Our first dose of Flash Coffee is at their City Hall branch. Right there, I became an instant supporter of Flash Coffee. I love the taste of their Lemon Ice Tea. The strength of the tea and enough citrusy lemon will really quench the Singapore heat in a very affordable price.

As I have said, they have many branches. Download their app, they are sometimes giving free delivery service and of course a lot of freebies and exclusive deals for their members.

Bacha Coffee Official Boutique - Moroccan CAFE in SINGAPORE | Legendary Coffees Review

ABBEY: We were supposed to try Bacha Coffee (in Ion Orchard) Christmas 2020 but oh boy the queue is so long.

The next time we went, we got time to spare so queue it is.
The shop is Morrocan-inspired and you can see that in the all around like in coffee kettles, spoon, fork, knife, cup and saucers and decors. Felt like a royal sipping their hot drinks.

The coffee by itself has great flavor. Put a dollop or two of the vanilla bean cream and it will elevate to a new level. Add raw sugar or ground vanilla and you’ll be surprised. We also had their croissants. They are flaky outside and puffed inside. Perfect match for the coffee.

WILL: Cafe business here is Singapore is pretty vibrant! Cafes with different tricks to lure customers. The good thing is they have a levelled price point so you can dare to try them all.

Bacha is an international cafe from Morocco ans was established in 1910. In their store you will see the fascinating story behind the brand.

The difference? You will feel like a royalty! Why? Except of the staff’s uniform and royal blue/gold paint their service is exceptional. Staffs are so attentive and really do concern if you need anything.

Truly recommendable! Oh their coffee! Ahaha! It was served per golden pot and you can definitely taste the richness and body of the coffee. Yep! Not diluted by milk or water. Their coffee honey dip for croissants is not to be missed.

Suzuki Gourmet Coffee - JAPANESE INSPIRED TEAHOUSE | Roasts, Grinds and Packages its OWN COFFEE

ABBEY: Suzuki Cafe became the talk of the town almost overnight. The beans are already being sold long before the cafe opened. But the strategy is brilliant: they open their coffee shop on the same venue as their warehouse at Chin Bee Ave (nearest MRT is Boon Lay).

No facility yet for booking that you need to go there and register your mobile number and they will send a message once the seat is ready. We had a 15-minute wait time during our visit.

I had a cappuccino with a not-so-usual latte art as like with the other cafes. The coffee is smooth and not too bitter. Each drink came with a biscuit. The staff are also helpful enough to advise on which beans I need to purchase for my cold brew and moka pot.

I’ll be trying the ones from Kenya and Papua New Guinea but a bit pricey.

WILL: This coffeeshop created a buzz and Abbey was so hooked up that we decided to travel from northeast to west of Singapore to check out their Japanese inspired cafe.

It buzz so what do you expect? There’s a queue. And due to COVID-19 restrictions, you can’t wait outside their premises. We waited our turn at the nearest bus stop. Ahm, yeah bus stop. Chin Bee is an industrial location thus no mall nor cafe near the area. So..bus stop it is. Haha.

They require to get your phone a number, you will received a sms, we walk through their noren (Japanese Door Curtain) and surprise-surprise another queue. Haha!

On our turn, we went to their second floor. The cafe is located there and their design is zen. Even I have experienced inconveniences, you will feel relax once you reached the cafe. There’s a very light background music, a hush crowd in their talking and a display of their roasted coffee.

I ordered a matcha latte. My verdict? Taste like ordinary. Taste like an instant matcha? Check it out, see, taste and experience for you to judge.

PPP Coffee Funan Mall

ABBEY: We were in a quest to go to Tiong Hoe Specialty Coffee but it is out of our way. So we go to the apprentice; PPP Coffee at Funan.
I’m craving for cold brew but all their batches are sold out.
So before ordering we check their beans to used in my own cold brew. Their staff is really helpful explaining to us and advising us what beans we should pick. And our beans is Throwback blend.

We order their version of hot drink and it was smooth and no bitter and funky aftertaste.

The same goes with my homemade cold brew. This is no ordinary cafe. The baristas know their craft.

PPP Coffee Funan Mall - Throwback Coffee

WILL: After our InterContinental Staycation, we headed to Funan Mall for our lunch. We filled our tummy with Little Caesar’s Pizza and went to PPP Coffee to buy beans.

Before buying the beans, Abbey ordered Throwback Cappuccino for two. It is not your typical lattes you have been buying, it has an extra creaminess and kick of the espresso. You will know that their beans were totally handcrafted and not mass produced.

Will be one of the cafes that truly stands out. Of course! Totally recommendable!
