ALOFT® | Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

ABBEY: Aloft KL is our hotel of choice for our recent Malaysia escapade. We were not given an early checkin but they were able to store our luggages until we got our room. The hotel lounge and lobby are spacious. Guests can play games, get into their business staff, drink in the bar or just lazy out to one of their couches.

My father also got a birthday greeting from them. The room, sheets and pillows are clean. What I really like is their french press. That’s different from the usual automatic coffee machine. I need to make the coffee on my own.

Our stay includes buffet breakfast and the food didn’t disappoint. I enjoyed a couple of plates of pakora, bacon, sausages, iddly, prata, nasi lemak and fried rice. We enjoyed and got relaxed during our stay.

WILL: Abbey is a member of Marriott Bonvoy! And that is reason why we always booked our accommodation when we are out of Singapore. Marriott has a good variety fleet of hotels under their wings and one of them is Aloft.

Aloft is in a good location, it is in KL Sentral. They have their own passage connected from the KL Sentral Station! Nice right? Since there is no available room for our requested early check-in, we left our luggages and fled to go to the tourist destinations.

It is Papa RS’ bday week and Aloft surprised him with a ‘Happy Bday’ banner, balloon, and a cake. Awwwww! How sweet! We booked two (2) twin rooms. And we are astounded by the room lay-out. The closet is inside the bathroom area. To save spaces they used sliding doors.

They offer not an ordinary coffee but a coffee grounds for your french press coffee maker. Their toiletries aroma is amazing and soothes our tired and sweaty skin. Haha. Bed gives us a lovely slumber after a day of kilometres of walks.

They have the infinity pool that gives a nice view of the KL Sentral. They provided fruit infused waters.

The buffet breakfast makes us happy and full until our lunchtime. Haha! My favourite there is the wide array of fruits! Rambutan, wintermelon and freshly squeezed fruits.

Different hotels of Marriott Bonvoy offers unique attitudes! Explore what suits are best for you. 🤗

National Orchid Garden Singapore - World's Largest Orchid Display

ABBEY: We got 3 pairs of complementary tickets to Singapore Orchid  Garden. Thanks to Nparks app for the reward. It’s a different world when you enter it which is inside Singapore Botanic Gardens. I really enjoyed and took pictures of the colorful flowers. There are orchids everywhere. The way they were grown is awesome.

For me the main attraction are the orchids which were named after foreign dignitaries who visited Singapore.Dendrobium Rodrigo Roa Duterte which has a violet-red color was named after Philippines 16th president. Others were for the Queen Elizabeth, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Former US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle, and Nelson Mandela. The experience is relaxing and you’ll appreciate nature more.

WILL: Orchid is the National Flower of Singapore and they do a lot of research and breeding to let its natural beauty to shine. Yeah! They alloted a huge space of land to showcase it to the world.

Of course in National Orchid Garden, you can marvel the different colors, sizes and species of this delicate flower. Why I described it as a delicate flower? I saw my eldest brother how he took care of those. He evens talks to them just to produce flowers. It is crazy but it is true!

I know Abbey loves orchids and I find it ridiculous to pay a fee of $5 to see this garden. But hey when I am inside, $5 is not enough. Gosh! Singapore really put an effort to display, organize and take care of this huge facility.

What do you expect inside? A wide array of orchids, of course.
-Crane Fountain will welcome you.
-Enchanted Garden cradles a huge white orchid, it is like she is the princess of the garden.
-Arches that were crawled by diffent types of National Flower. Perfect for photo shoot!
-VIP Orchid Garden housed the different orchids named after important people that visits Singapore. President Duterte has one of those!

One of the perks in participating the Singapore NPark’s Coast-To-Coast Challenge is to receive different kinds of freebies or vouchers and one of those that we got is a pair of tickets to National Orchid Garden! Thanks NParks! Yey!!!

Some spaces is under renovation. We will for sure come back to see the additions to it!

Super Sub At Suntec City : Chicken and Soya Hotdog

ABBEY: We’ve seen SuperSub at Suntec. Curiosity told me to try it. Next thing I know is I’m paying for my Classic Gourmet Hotdog sub (5.80SGD). It also came with a serving of nachos.

The filling is up to the brim. You’ll get messy upon eating it. The hotdog is chicken hotdog which also taste good along with my mayonnaise-sriracha sauce. Their concept is almost the same with Stuffed and Subway.

Super Sub At Suntec City : Chicken Hotdog - Good Ol' Classic

WILL: It was a long time since we set our foot at Suntec City. So we are quite amused that there are many food outlets added at the basement and one of those is Super Sub. Abbey loves hotdog in a bun but Super Sub go to the next level. Imagine a subway-like hotdog topped with different relishes!

I am quite disappointed with their Truffle Egg Mayo but totally fell in love with Good Ol’ Classic. Love all the toppings on it. Their hotdog is only chicken but the good news is they have a vegetarian soy hotdog at no additional cost.
This is an another food worth visiting at Suntec City.
