National Orchid Garden Singapore - World's Largest Orchid Display

ABBEY: We got 3 pairs of complementary tickets to Singapore Orchid  Garden. Thanks to Nparks app for the reward. It’s a different world when you enter it which is inside Singapore Botanic Gardens. I really enjoyed and took pictures of the colorful flowers. There are orchids everywhere. The way they were grown is awesome.

For me the main attraction are the orchids which were named after foreign dignitaries who visited Singapore.Dendrobium Rodrigo Roa Duterte which has a violet-red color was named after Philippines 16th president. Others were for the Queen Elizabeth, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Former US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle, and Nelson Mandela. The experience is relaxing and you’ll appreciate nature more.

WILL: Orchid is the National Flower of Singapore and they do a lot of research and breeding to let its natural beauty to shine. Yeah! They alloted a huge space of land to showcase it to the world.

Of course in National Orchid Garden, you can marvel the different colors, sizes and species of this delicate flower. Why I described it as a delicate flower? I saw my eldest brother how he took care of those. He evens talks to them just to produce flowers. It is crazy but it is true!

I know Abbey loves orchids and I find it ridiculous to pay a fee of $5 to see this garden. But hey when I am inside, $5 is not enough. Gosh! Singapore really put an effort to display, organize and take care of this huge facility.

What do you expect inside? A wide array of orchids, of course.
-Crane Fountain will welcome you.
-Enchanted Garden cradles a huge white orchid, it is like she is the princess of the garden.
-Arches that were crawled by diffent types of National Flower. Perfect for photo shoot!
-VIP Orchid Garden housed the different orchids named after important people that visits Singapore. President Duterte has one of those!

One of the perks in participating the Singapore NPark’s Coast-To-Coast Challenge is to receive different kinds of freebies or vouchers and one of those that we got is a pair of tickets to National Orchid Garden! Thanks NParks! Yey!!!

Some spaces is under renovation. We will for sure come back to see the additions to it!

Casa Verde @ Singapore Botanic Gardens

ABBEY: This diner is located at the center of Singapore Botanical Gardens. We have tried their Western breakfast set for 13.5 sgd. It includes bacon, sausage, grilled tomato, fried/scrambled egg, orange juice, and coffee/tea. A complementary toast with butter and jam is being served also.

The ambiance gives a great sense of relaxation as trees and plants surrounds the place. This is a good option to have breakfast with family and friends.

WILL:  Who says that Singapore Botanic only caters lush and greenery scenes, they also give their visitors the Casa Verde "greenhouse" restaurant.
This is located at the middle of this garden, a very nice spot to take some rest after a 20 minute walk form MRT station, yellow line.
Casa Verde staffs is very kind, always smiling leh! Marineth bought our breakfast western set meal worth $13.50 each. Thanks Neth. It was consisted of egg, bacon, hush brown, chicken sausage, grilled tomato, bread, orange juice and coffee or tea.
Aside from green background it was also surrounded by mini waterfalls. The sound of the water makes it more relaxing.
A perfect mini-getaway on a buzz of the city.
