Charlie Brown Cafe

ABBEY: The shop is located at 313 Somerset. It offers variants of coffee and frappe as well as sandwiches and crepes. I got their all-day breakfast set composed of crepe with milk-powder-stenciled face of Charlie, sausages, and turkey ham. We also tried Lucy's strawberry crepe and beef lasagna. We had mocha, cappuccino and hot choco. Total of 50sgd. The taste is great. And now we have another coffee shop to go out for in our list.

WILL: As I browse the net for unordinary coffee shops that I can bring my in-laws and sister, I saw this Charlie Brown Cafe. This is located at discovery walk of 313 Somerset. This cafe I think can accommodate 50 persons for their dine-in clients.
Snoopy is well-known character on my sister's time. Hehe. So she is quite excited to see this. Every order, andun ang muka ng mga characters pwera sa lasagna. :)
Their price range for coffee is around $4-8 and the taste Masarap! lalo na ang hot chocolate nila. Oh, I love their strawberry pancakes and crepes. Taste is awesome. Food prices are from $7 and up.
The place is quite noisy, al fresco dining kasi sila. Ooops! I forgot to mention they have this very cute stationary for your orders. :)

Discovery Food Court

ABBEY: It's lunch and were hungry. We decided to have bite to eat. We went to Discovery food court. Wow, jam-packed. So we for another ride. When we came back only few diners were left. It is a circular place and at the center of it is a model of a dinosaur. Can't remember what is the name. We got roasted and steamed chicken rice with mung bean soup, wanton noodle and a kid's meal which comes with a free lunch box. The meal costs 11sgd but drink is not included. The place got a feel of freshness and relaxing.

WILL: Its really in our itinerary to eat our lunch here at Discovery Food Court. This is located at The Lost World area. After the enjoyable ride in Battlestar Gallactica, we went here to see my in-laws, husband and nephew for dinner.
The first thing you will notice on this food court is their gigantic dinosaur remains. It just reminds of the Jurassic Park movie. I ordered hainanese chicken set. The taste?  Not that good as I expect. Bland.

Night Safari Singapore

ABBEY: I thought I won't see that much creatures at the Night Safari. With my eyes not in 20/20, sight is very difficult. But I enjoyed my time there. A shuttle from Mandarin Oriental hotel picked us up; fare is 4.5 for adult and 2sgd for kids. We reached the zoo at 6:45pm. Admission is 30sgd(adult) and 21(kids). This includes tram rides also.  Two shows were presented; fire dance and Creatures of the night. We saw otters, wolves, sugar gliders, lion, giraffe, elephants, and other nocturnal animals. We had our snack at ZBar. We got hotdogs and soda. Restaurant, hawkers, souvenir shops are there as well. The zoo helps to educate people to care and preserve wild life. Flash photography for the animal is prohibited. As the host said "If you're not familiar on how not to use the camera flash, better not use the camera" :)

WILL: Night Safari!!! I am very hesitant to see this attraction. Why? Creepy and I am little bit worried for our security. But my in-laws and my sis arrived here and this is a must-see for tourist, now, its either stay at home or go with them. I chose the latter. Hehe.
We hop on to one of the shuttles from Mandarin Oriental at around 530pm for 4.50S$ one way then bought a ticket at the same bus and discounted a $1 for each ticket.
Arrived at the park, we wait for fire dance at entrance 7pm then watched the 730pm show at amphitheater. The rest of the night from 8pm to 10pm was spent in foot trails and tram rides.
For me, I enjoyed more the tram rides than foot trail. Why? Takot ako. Maglakad in that darkness, baka may bigla lumabas na butiki. But in our whole journey wala naman nagpakita.
Love it! Congratulations to Night Safari. Worth visiting!
