National Geographic Cafe Singapore

ABBEY: At last we set foot inside the NatGeo cafe. Wilma got her tea time set for 10sgd. It includes a pot of tea and a slice of banana chocolate cake. That's what the staff recommended. For me, I got turkey ham wrap and soda. At the cafe food is not the only item that is on sale; tables and chairs are included too. You can check for the price tag.

WILL: National Geographic just do not sell shirts and magazines, here in their VivoCity branch, they put up a cafe. We are wanting to dine here but the distance from our work do not supports the idea. Then here we go, need to meet our friend Chat, biro mo yun nasa Vivo na kami sya kakagising lng. Hehe. Then it gave us the idea to eat here. Abbey ordered a turkey wrap and a cola, for me I availed their tea time worth $9 consisted of tea and a cake.
I love their tea. Real teas, I mean they served me a tea leaves in a pot and not am ordinary teabag that I for myself can buy at groceries. We chose banana choco cake and its really terrific. Nice ambiance, nice tables and chairs... All in all for me this is recommendable for a romantic and serious business talks. ;p

Queens Dessert Cafe Bistro

ABBEY: After a dinner we got the craving for coffee. Wilma remembered that the Wine Company in Sentosa Boardwalk is having a promotion for coffee. Sadly, it ended. We decided to go to Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. A few meters from the Wine Company is a cafe and bistro named Queens. We were greeted by their Pinay staff. Finally, we won't be walking that long for coffee shop. We sat in the comfy sofa outside. We picked it as we knew that there will be live performance. We were right, at 9pm a Pinoy entertaining sang music. They're serving cakes, coffees, teas, beer, house pouring and signature wines. For 12sgd, u can have a cup of coffee, cake and an ice cream. Wine per glass start at 9sgd and 60+sgd per bottle. We stayed there until 11pm sharing stories among us and with our new friends. :)

WILL: After seeing each other at our official tambayan at Vivo City we moved our feet to go to Sentosa Boardwalk for some dessert and coffee. The official plan was to spend our time at The Wine Company but we ended up sipping love hot drinks at the Queens.
Queens is a sister company of The King Louis Grill and Bar. As usual I ordered a hot tea which costs $4-5 each pot. They serve Lipton tea. Abbey of course, he wants a coffee then Chat ordered a coffee, ice cream and cake costs her $9. Pwede na ang value ng food to its taste.
This reminds me of Manila's Baywalk. So to complete the nostalgic things, we wait for the singer. Around 9pm the singer arrived with his guitar and sings some very soothings music while USS do the fireworks. ;) Isn't great for royalties dine in a palace-like-restau Queens? Hehe.
Then we wants to stay a lil bit longer but our drinks and cake were all done. So Chat ordered a mug of beer priced $4 and me a white wine $9 for a one glass. Beer comes along with all-you-can-eat chips :) We really love the experience. Cheers for Queens.

A Night of Comedy with Rex Navarrete 2011

ABBEY: I thought I won't be seeing his act here at Singapore. It's a weekend, but it's a workday for me. Good thing my colleague offered a swap. Upon approval, I booked our tickets priced at 45sgd each. The place is at LaSalle College of the Art near Little India MRT station. The show started bit late but its worth the wait. Honestly, I've already watch some of his antics. But it's very different when you are on a live audience and hear him deliver the punchlines. Madami akong tawa talaga :). Bonus is the picture taking session after the show. Rex is one hella Pinoy :)

WILL:  Rex Navarrete... Who is he? Never heard of him until last year that Abbey gave me a link to his YouTube. From there, di ko n sya nakalimutan! Naks! At yun, Abbey went with me too see him perform live.
Ang aga namin dun, di kami pwede malate kasi baka kami mapagdiskitahan ni Rex hehe. As expected I laugh and laugh. His jokes were true, sabi nga nya he do "research" hehe. Very witty.
While on the midst of his sleep, pinunthan sya ng stewardess and ang bungad "Captain, tawag po kayo ni captain" what the f, then dun nya kwento sa akin na retired sya and he's on vacation ALONE! haha. Nakarelate tuloy ako. Haha.
Basta nakakatuwa ka Rex. More more more wisdom for you.
