Max Brenner Chocolate Bar

ABBEY: We didn't got a chance to visit Max Brenner's branch in Trinoma. Last time we checked in Vivo they're already close for the day. Good thing that when we were searching for a cafe after our meal at Malaysian Food Street, it was open.

I got to try their Milk Chocolate. It taste like swiss miss but with richer in flavor and creamier. The hot beverage comes in a odd-shaped cup that I don't know how to drink from it. JP got a milkshake which is served in a unique tall glass. Prices of which starts from 6.90SGD. Aside from chocolate concoctions they also have waffles and ice creams.

WILL: After filling up our stomach in Malaysian Street Food at Resorts World Sentosa and after walking around on that Island, we headed back to VivoCity Mall.

Of course, before going back, we must have some drink to seat in. Unlike we planned to go for a coffee, I asked Abbey to taste the Max Brenner's chocolate drinks.

Their branch at VivoCity is a nice place to ask a lady for a date. Lights is in a romantic mood and the place is serene unlike the coffee shops always packed with people.

My tummy is so full that even a cup of hot drink will not be accepted by digestive system to go in. Haha.. Impacho! Abbey ordered a milk chocolate that was served in a hug mug. That mug has no handle and will make to use both of your hands to drink from it. Curious about the mug and how Abbey describes the drink, I wrapped around my hands to that hug mug, feel the hotness of chocolate drink through that ceramic thingy then I sipped, then sipped, and sipped again. Shocks! My brain commanded my tummy to give way for this hot drink! I love this drink, its like I am drinking my favorite chocolate... Cadbury!

Ben & Jerry's 'WICH

ABBEY: Wilma is craving for an ice cream-sandwich and this ice cream parlor offers it at 8.90 a piece we enjoyed their delicious in between a crunchy chocolate cookies. Be prepared to be messy as the cold treat will pop-up at every bite.

WILL: When time strikes back and all you can do is reminisce, food is not an exemption to the list. I really miss the Funwich of Presto. That's why when I saw the Ben and Jerry's ad, I really craved for it since then.

So I asked Abbey and Chat to go to VivoCity and indulge to this cold/sweet selection. At first, I thought this will only cost $5 but I am frustrated to see that for a so little pair brownies and a scoop of ice cram costs $8.90. But what I can do, I am drooling to taste this, so no choice but to buy.

Hmmm, the brownies is so crispy that when you your teeth sinked-in, the ice cream will spill out at the sides, but the brownies is so chewy and tasty, a perfect match for any ice cream flavor. A messy thing to eat, but worthy.

Waitrose LOVE life - dandelion, fennel & ginger infusion tea bags

ABBEY: This tea us a fusion of fennel seeds, dandelion and ginger. Once a sachet is soaked in a cup of hot water, good aroma fills the air. As you drink it ginger taste is dominant but has a sweet after-taste.

WILL: Abbey's is in the process of turning his back to coffee and transforming his self to be a tea drinker. Step-by-step, little-by-little he drinks flavored tea without sugar. So my duty is to look for something sweet concoction of tea leaves.
Then I saw this Waitrose Love Life consists of Dandelion (25%)Fennel (20%)Ginger Root (20%)Liquorice Root (20%)Nettle (15%). The strong aroma and sweet fennel taste never fails me to surprise Abbey. This will be a great choice for the beginners.
Love the taste, this costs $6.00 at Cold Storage

Marché Restaurants

ABBEY: At last we set foot on this Swiss restaurant at 3rd floor of VivoCity. Upon entering you will be given a swipe card to be used every time you'll buy food.

Crepes, cakes, pasta, toasts, grilled and fried meat, sausages and pizza are among the choices. We got chicken and red onion pizza, garlic sausage and fresh orange juice all for less than 35sgd. Maybe it's my first time that's why I felt lost in the diner.

WILL: I love their breads and its time for us to dine in. There is no queue that time so this is a sign haha. We only need a light meal that time, because we will eat again after we picked up Ninong Joel. Hehe.
Immediately stepping in at their restaurant, we already got a table for two. A card was handed to us. Every food we ordered the card will be taken and swipe it in. Less mess for taking cash out from your wallets every time you want to buy from a stall.
I ordered a whole pizza, abbey got a sausage. The pizza is awesome, its crust us thin but really fulfilling. The sausage tastes great too, packed with meat and spices. After eating, we are both full. Haha! Tsk, tsk.
Oh, it is located at VivoCity, roof deck. The place is a country style. You will feel as if you are in the cradle of your own home.

Modesto's Traditional Italian Wood-Fired Pizza and Home-Made Pasta

ABBEY: I've seen this restaurant a couple of times while still working at Harbourfront and finally we got the chance to dine in. I got pasta in fresh tomato sauce. Now I know why the staff asked us if the order is for sharing or individual. The serving is enough for two to three people. We shared also a cheese pizza. An order starts at less than 20sgd. Both the ambiance and food is good. Wilma enjoyed the most the pre-meal bread basket.

WILL: Wood fired oven! Yes!!! Who do not want their food cooked with this.
This is located at the first floor of VivoCity. I am eyeing to eat in here very long time ago,but their place is quite intimidates our wallets but when VA asked us out and he do not know where to dine, I immediately asked him to treat us here! Haha! Well, when I saw the price, it is quite affordable and the service is excellent.
For starter, I almost ate all the 2 bowl of bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Pizza, amazing! I ate almost the whole, haha! Charito ordered a salad, Abbey for Ziti, and VA ate up lasagna.
Ha! That was incredible night! Modesto's, amazing italian restaurant!

The King Louis Grill and Bar

ABBEY: After a visit at the Queen, we then visited the King. King Louis is located at third floor of VivoCity Mall. It is very noticeable as the restaurant is designed, of course, as a castle.
Knight, actually armor only, will greet you at different places in the mall to invite you to come. We heard Kuya, the acoustic singer in Queens , rendered songs to lighten the mood.

We had delicious fries and Queen’s platter (prawn roll, chicken wing, potato wedges and crispy calamari). I got rootbeer float also. It’s a good Saturday night.

WILL: The King Louis is located at the rooftop of VivoCity Mall, just beside Daiso.
Here, we ordered a platter, fries and some drinks. Their fries and melted cheese caught my tastebuds' attention. I ordered their red house poured wine and costs $9.
This is what we like. sipping our favorite drink and chatting non-stop in a dim lit room with a relaxing live acoustic soloist playing behind us.
This is life. :) thanks King Louis for this great restaurant set-up. Thanks for spending time with me.. Abbey & Chat :)
