Queic Cheesecake Review + 1827 Clipper Tea: Honest Jewel Changi Food Stop

ABBEY: At last, we finally got to try Quiec by Olivia at Jewel Changi Airport! It took us a while to find it. We actually circled the entire ground floor before realizing it’s located just across the Jewel Changi Airport Lounge.

We ordered a solo serving of the Classic Basque Burnt Cheesecake, and it didn’t disappoint. The texture was rich and creamy, with a good height that made each bite satisfying. There’s a distinct flavor that sets it apart, possibly from the goat cheese used in the recipe, which adds a unique twist to the classic burnt cheesecake. Just a heads-up though, it’s priced a little higher than your average cake slice, but the quality makes it worth a try.

After indulging in dessert, we headed to The 1872 Clipper Tea Co. for some hot beverages. With everything going on lately, I went for their Anti-Stress blend—a soothing mix of rooibos, lemongrass, and chamomile. It has an earthy taste that’s calming and perfect for unwinding. Sometimes, a good cup of tea and a quiet moment are all you need to recharge.

WILL: Jewel Changi isn’t just a tourist magnet with a giant waterfall. For us residents, it’s where we squeeze through the crowd for good food, good tea, and a little cinema time. With so many consistently packed restaurants, Jewel remains one of the easiest places to find something new to love.

Aside our usual favourites—White Restaurant, % Arabica, and Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory—we finally tried the much-hyped Queic by Olivia, known for the “best cheesecake in Singapore.”
We ordered the Classic Basque Burnt ($12.00). My verdict? Not my type. The flour-like, slightly rough texture took away the smooth, melt-in-your-mouth cheesecake moment I wanted. Price is pretty high, texture and taste is a no-go for me.

To recover, we walked to The 1827 Clipper Tea Co. I chose Blissful Berries, expecting a strong sour berry hit. Instead, the flavour turned out soft, mild, and calming. For $5.50, it’s a comforting cup I’d happily buy again—this one goes straight to my “for home” list.

So tell me—what’s your go-to food spot in Changi? And will you check out Queic and 1827 Clipper Tea on your next Jewel run?
