Shaw Theatres Lumiere at Jewel Changi Airport

ABBEY: Yey, we set foot at Shaw Theaters (Jewel) when we watched Men In Black International at the Lumiere. Only less than 30 seats which means more space for every guess.

The 20SGD ticket will give you comfort from their reclining seats which converts to a something like a sofa as the middle divider can be removed. The theater is clean and the sound is immersive (DTS:X). I enjoyed watching the movie.

WILL: Once you have experienced the comfort of watching a movie on a LaZBoy, you will save money to experience that again! On Men In Black International, we chose to go to the newest Shaw Theatre.. Jewel Changi Branch. We chose Shaw’s Lumiere.

It is the 2nd to the last full show and the ticket costs $20 each. No freebies included. Hehe. The recliner seat is made of red leather, you can put up the middle armrest to turn it to a loveseat. The legroom is spacious. The sounds, DTS:X, are more distinctive than the other cinema halls.

Will I buy a Lumiere ticket again? Maybe not. It is pretty expensive.

Potato Corner Singapore

ABBEY: Potato Corner fries is a luxury when I was in high school. Either I have a cup of flavored potatoes or risk buying materials for school projects. Good thing they expanded their business here in Singapore. For less than 3SGD you can have a “large” cup of fries with a flavor of your choosing. Or splurge with 4 flavors with their Tera size at almost 11SGD.

We chose the middle: Mega (5.7SGD for 2 flavors) and always choose truffle and wasabi. Bit of advice: choose large or mega. The large is not large at all and definitely you’ll be wanting for more.

WILL: Time flies! Fast! And now, Potato Corner’s first Singapore Branch turned 1! Happy 1st Anniversary Potato Corner Singapore!

This french fries brings back memories of my High School days. It costs Php15.00 for a small packet but you will still buy it because it is somewhat addictive haha!

Glad that they have new flavours like Wasabi and Truffle. My new favourites. It really replicates the flavours of the two. Their bucket-like packaging gives a good grip. Designed to munch tge fries while roaming around the mall or park. A perfect partner with your milkteas!

More anniversaries and branches in Singapore to come, Potato Corner!

D'Laksa - The Famous Penang Assam Laksa

ABBEY: At last we were able to get bowls of laksa at D’ Laksa. I had Asam Laksa Special for SGD5 which includes three fishballs. The sourness and spiciness of the soup is balanced.

The cucumber and herbs gave the crunchy texture. It also had good portions of mackerel. Just be careful with every sip, the soup is hot.

WILL: In rainy days like this, all you need is an assam laksa! I hear you, not all are good enough but D’Laksa won’t let you down.

Sourness and spiciness were blended perfectly that will relaxe your body on every sip. The noodles are firm, soup is thick and it has quite a lot of meat too.

The best thing is, it is very cheap! Only cost $4/order. Totally recommendable.
