Super Addictive Brownies - Dona's Recipe

ABBEY: This recipe was given to me by our friend Dona from the US of A. I was able to bake the cookies after a year :)

Follow the recipe specially when spacing the cookie dough on the baking sheet. The recipe will yield 30 chocolatey, delicious cookies.

WILL: Donna's cookies are so desirable. The aroma reminds me of chips ahoy on the 80's. The taste is not too sweet and the texture is chewy and perfect for any hot drinks.

Abbey requested for the recipe and he baked it. Is it just the same? Well, it is ok. But the texture differs. Abbey's product is crumbly and the salt/sugar is not dissolved (which I love).

Now I am waiting for next baking session of Abbey.

Say Chiizu | Hokkaido Cheese Toast

ABBEY: Say ‘chiizu’ :)

Hokkaido Cheese Toast offers these toasts at SGD 3.80 a piece. They recently opened their branch at Waterway Point and there we go.

The toast is not that much big but filled with stretchy and chewy cheese. Be sure to eat it as soon as possible for maximum stretch. Also who wants a cold toast?

WILL: I saw Abbey's friend, Nitin, hit a like button to a post that shows a stretch of cheese! Abbey blurted out that it is supposedly his surprise for me for the next day. Ha! Blame Nitin!

For brunch, we went to Waterway Point and bought the 'surprise' original toast.

Astonished, this taste like mozzarella! Man! I can eat three of those in one sitting. It is quite pricey though.

Guschlbauer Singapore | Austrian Bakery

ABBEY: Yey, another pastry shop at Waterway Point. They are giving away devil cheese buns on their opening day.

A cheese bun costs SGD5.80 and we tried the original as well as the chocoloate. I prefer the former. It taste milky; like the powder type. I remember the days scooping a spoonful of milk and enjoy the milk powder.

We also bought kissling for SGD8.80. Now that is I think expensive; not that buttery nor flaky. It will be left in the dust by Tiong Bahru Bakery’s.

WILL: As usual Facebook is one of the culprit. Haha! I saw a post that they will be having a giveaway for for three days. Sad thing is that we do not have the time to queue.

Solution? Abbey bought it when we have the time. Sad. Not free!

The outer layer is quite hard/crisp but the inside is soft. Your brain will be eluded to eat more. The powdery substance that tapped over the side of buns brings back the taste of 'klim' in Philippines. I like the original than the Cheese Bun Tiramisu.

Kissling? No.. no.. no..
