(Washokodokoro) Waraku Japanese Casual Dining Singapore VivoCity

ABBEY: We won an invite for the opening of Waraku Japanese restaurant in Vivo City. It was located on the rooftop park of the mall. Outside the restaurant is a photobooth where you can pose with a Samurai.

We were given a table for two and the staff told us as part of the store opening a meal including a drink will be served for free. The meal includes tempura, udon, sushi, and potato salad. The sauce brings more flavor on the tempura.

I really like the sushi; I hoped that they will serving more of those.

WILL: Fan of Japanese Cuisine? Add up Waraku Japanese Restaurant on your list. Waraku is one of the famous and oldest restaurant from its at East Coast Park.

Its the opening at their VivoCity branch when we first stepped our feet in one of their restaurant. The place portrayed a very cozy feeling. Its seats, tables, even plates and chopsticks well complimented to each other. Relaxing is the great word to describe it.

They offered us drinks and I asked for cranberry juice after a while the food was served. The tray consists of udon, shrimp and vegetable tempura, and volcano maki. The most memorable was the noodles packed with flavors and very chewy, its seems like a gnocchi texture.

Thanks Waraku for this free dinner and free photo shot with Sushi Ronin.

Peel and cut tye onion into half. Wash the apples and pears cut into half. Put all the ingredients in the casserole add 5 cups of water. Boil untip the meat is tender. Serve hot. Best with soy sauce with kalamansi for a dip.

VERDICT
ABBEY: I'm telling you this not your ordinary pork nilaga. Apple and pear were along the pork for boiling. It taste sweet and somehow weird as I'm not used to it; but started to like it. A new twist for our pork nilaga.

Ben & Jerry's (Singapore) Couch Potato

ABBEY: I saw the sign of Ben & Jerry's new ice cream flavor and it read: "Couch Potato" Yes it was weird.

I used to dip fries into a sundae but never I had imagined to package it along the ice cream. The potato chips were covered in chocolate. The taste is unique. The sweetness of dairy delight complements well the chips' saltiness.

As the name implies, you'll be a couch potato as it gives you comfort while eating it.

WILL: Its a rainy Sunday and Abbey is out for some training at M Hotel. I am all alone and for the whole day, I only did was to lay my back down, munch pizza and chips while finishing the 8th season series of "Friends".

I asked Abbey to get some supplies for the following week, since it was raining, I told him to just go at Sheng Siong Clementi.

As he got home, I saw a bag of Ben & Jerry's ice cream and excitedly told me about the new flavor. The "Couch Potato". Jokingly told me that really suits me haha!

The taste is nice, the salty and sweet caramel was combined in a one tub. Sweet and salty taste will declare a war inside your mouth.

Thanks baby for this treat!
