New World Hotel - Makati, Philippines

ABBEY:
During college, I sidelined as a light man in video coverage. And whenever we cover for a wedding in a hotel, I used to dream to stay there for a night or two. Hotel staff will treat you as  if you're the most VIP in the world :) I experience that in New World Hotel. The hotel was great. They have ongoing wedding dress fair when we came, The Runway Project, so their lobby exhibited different gowns. Our room is spacious, twin bedroom, enough for 6-8 pax. We also dipped on their pool. :) Thanks to Neth's connection, we got it half the price.

WILL: It's my birthday! And who's idea ito? It is from my friendly-friend, Neth. Usually on my birthday dahil summer, we go for a out of town to have some splurge sa mga resorts. But now, we just stayed in Makati.
This hotel was aka Renaissance, now the name is New World Hotel. From office, I went straight to the hotel. There, in their vast spaced lobby, my friends were waiting for me, as usual grand entrance na naman ako. ;p.
We have fun in our stay. A comfy room, clean pools, a free drink from our beloved Kuya V and a tipsy tipsy night with a revelation game. ahahaha!
I am so thankful as always to my true friends who is always there for me. Oooops, almost forgot I just paid half of the hotel rate(Php3200.00), why? it's one of Marineth's gift for me. hehehe.
I love to stay in hotels, just to soak in my self in a hot tub. A sweet escape for me in a stressful world of Bureau of Customs in Philippines.

Cantata

ABBEY:
Wow, Christmas cantata. I missed this when I left Philippines. The cantata reminds me that Christmas is just really around the corner. I got excited when I learned that International Baptist Church will be having this activity. I almost not able to make it due to my fault in my planning. Hahaha. I really liked the most is their rendition of O Holy Night, sent shivers to me. There's also a part of the song where the congregation also sings. Truly this is a joyous celebration for the coming of our Saviour.

WILL: As I said to my Resorts World Sentosa Singing Xmas Tree, I love choirs. It reminds me as one of the members of a Metro Manila division choir. I am used to be a Soprano 2. What I enjoyed in their list of piece is the "Glorious Day".

i Light Marina Bay 2010

ABBEY: Another project of Singapore to showcase the talents of bright minds by their arts using lights. Some exhibits requires user interaction, like the "Touch. Do not please the work of art" where people will pose before the flash snap, and their shadows will be left on the wall. :)

We also saw the origami tigers, animal tree that uses simple circuitry, Flora Magica where flowers are projected in a building, and the jellyfish.

The show was free. It spans from the Helix to the Fullerton Hotel. The event was informational and fun. You will "light" Singapore more.

WILL: This is Asia's First Sustainable Light Art Festival. Entrance? Of course, it is free. =) Enjoying the best in life.
After eating dinner at Marina Bay Sands, we walked through to the Helix Bridge, where we found a look-a-like of fishing rod na umiilaw when you turn the handle. The exhibits stretched from the said bridge up to Esplanade.
Well, dahil I am with Abbey, he is the one explaining how the exhibit works. Galing ni Engineer Lapuz magpaliwanag.. hehehe. We have fun and wish namin next event mas maraming display and we hope this can be applied na to our daily lives, para makatipid s bill ng kuryente.. hehehe!
