Easy Skinless Longganisa Recipe

Ingredients:

1kg ground pork

2 heads garlic

1 to 1 1/2 cup sugar

1 1/2 tbsp salt

1 tbsp vinegar

1 1/2 tsp black pepper

1 tbsp soy sauce (Oyster sauce / worcestershire sauce)

Feel free to change the measurements accordingly to your preference.

Combine all ingredients until the ground pork change in texture. Put the mixture in fridge for 30 minutes for the flavors to set in. Scoop uniform amount and form it in longganisa shape. It can be cooked straight away and store the others in freezer for later.

Boil along with a half a cup of water and let it evaporate.

Add oil and fry.

Serve with rice, tomato, cucumber and dip in vinegar with garlic and chili.

WILL: Abbey suddenly advised that he will be making skinless longanisa and he found that recipe on Aling Mely’s website and in good coincidence the minced pork is on 1-for-1 promotion at FairPrice.

So how was it? It taste like what my mom is buying from her suki. I can’t find the difference. Good job Abbey! I requested for more garlic and pepper on the next batch. Perfect Longaisa without any additives.

Humble Bakery's Scones

ABBEY: What do you do if your wife tells you everyday for a week that she wants scones?

Well, try to look for one. And make sure it taste good.

I happened to stumble upon Humble Bakery. The catch is you need to place your order before 12 noon to get your pastries the next day. I didn’t waste time to put my box of scones in the queue. I’m happy about the presentation; they have a note saying to enjoy it and it is my box of happiness. Little did they know that it was my wife they made happy. The scones are not too dense. Perfect for tea or coffee.I like the original one and strawberry cream cheese. 

Less than SGD 23.90 for six cones. Grab yours!

Humble Bakery's Scones

WILL: As what my husband always tell to people, Wilma will always opt to have bread than rice. Haha! Well, pastries are considered bread? Right? And scones is not exempted from my cravings. But the problem is, not all bakeries/cafes are offering scones luckily Abbey found Humble Bakery.

I waited for days for us to receive an email from Humble Bakery. They do not accept walk-ins (huhu). But the wait is really worth it. The scones are not dry, not too crumbly and very flavourful. I do not need butter for this nor jams. Worth the travel. Hehe. 

And the owners are so sweet! They put a written note on our order. Hope their business grow and please still give us a written note.
