ABBEY:  It was a Father’s Day celebration, so we prepared a relaxing and “filling” day with our Dad.  As the name of the establishment suggests, our bodies were well-rested at Sabbath Spa and Wellness Hub. We soaked in the warmth of their hot tub and sauna. I just wished the tub had cold water to complement the heat of the sauna. The shower had low water pressure, though, so it took longer to rinse off and get ready for the massage. I think I fell asleep during the session and woke up feeling rejuvenated. We capped off our spa experience with manicure and pedicure sessions. Clean bodies and tidy nails! Next stop was lunch at Las Mujeres Cafe in Palacio Real de Sto. Niño. The colonial-style structure gives off Spanish-era vibes and also serves as a hotel. We indulged in pork, liempo, and longganisa-silog while enjoying hot drinks. ABBEY:  Sometimes, a relaxing day does not need much planning. A good massage, a little facial pampering, coffee, and some comfort food can already make a day feel special.   We visited Alami Spa for a much-needed massage and were lucky enough to visit during their soft opening, when they were offering a discount. Our experience started with a refreshing welcome drink. It was so good that we actually asked for a second serving before our massage. We booked a couple's room, which was convenient because it came with its own toilet and shower. After changing into our massage clothes, we immediately settled onto our massage tables and got ready to relax. The massage itself was more intense than what I was used to. The masseuse did not rely only on her hands. She also used her elbows, knees, and arms to work on different areas of the body. ABBEY:  Our first stop after returning to the Philippines was Seda BGC, and it felt good to settle into a comfortable hotel right in the heart of Bonifacio Global City. After receiving our key cards, we headed straight to our room. The check-in process took a little longer than usual, but thankfully, the room itself made up for the wait. The room was clean, including the pillows and sheets, which is always important to me when staying in a hotel. Everything felt comfortable and relaxing, making it a good place to rest after our travel. Our booking included both breakfast and dinner at Misto, so naturally, we made sure to take advantage of it. One of the highlights was the seafood station. You can choose your seafood and have it grilled and served with your preferred sauce. I also enjoyed the grilled pork belly, beef sinigang, bacon and pomfret. The meat and fish from the carvery, however, were a little on the dry side.
