Fish Fillet Curry Recipe

Ingredients:
Fish fillet (cut into 2x3 inch sizes)
2 eggs
Potato starch (all-purpose flour)
1 tomato (sliced in half)
3 stalks of curry leaves
Vegetarian curry mix
1 medium Onion
2 Green chilli (sliced in half)
Salt and pepper

Make the batter by combining the eggs and potato starch. The consistency depends on your preference.
Season the fillet with salt and pepper and dip in the batter.
Double fry the fish and set aside.

Heat oil in a pan, and add the chilli, onion, and curry leaves until fragrant.
Put in the curry mixture and a cup of water. Add salt to taste.
Bring to a boil then add tomato (eggplant or lady finger), and coconut milk. You can put the fish into the curry or serve them separately. Enjoy with hot rice.

Fish Fillet Curry
VERDICT
WILL: Curry is one of the staple spice in Singapore and of course, we always have a stock of it in our cupboards. I suggested to Abbey to cook fish fillet curry.

Abbey’s styles it as a separate item. It prevented the fish into sogging. Abbey hit the right mark of spiciness and thickness of the curry for the breaded fried fish. It is totally delicious!

Hmmm? What will be the next viand for yellow curry? Hehe.

Scoop Wholefoods Singapore: Loose Tea

ABBEY: I got sick almost the whole month of June. I look for ways how to reset my system and build my immune system again. Surprisingly, most write ups recommend to drink tea. Next thing I know, I’m shopping loose tea combinations at Scoop (Tanglin Mall).

I got one for sleep, immunity and relaxation. At first I thought I would not like the taste but I was wrong. With mixture of tea leaves, lavender, spearmint, rose petals and many more, I really enjoyed drinking it and helped me a lot to become better again. Plus they don’t have that burnt taste even when soaked for a long time. We will come back and try the other tea blends.

WILL: Scoop does live to its name and we became an instant avid customer. Aside from Kombucha and Steel Cut Oats we also found loose tea here.

I am not a fan of flowery taste but Scoop did a great job combining different leaves, herbs and flowers. It is pretty perfectly done! I will not settle for ordinary. And hey! It seems that we save more on this than on our usual bagged teas.

See's Candies at TANGS Singapore

ABBEY: This is one of Wilma’s gift or should I say surprises for my 10th year anniversary in Singapore. I got intrigued with this confectionary when I read about the company being bought by Warren Buffet. What does it taste like why the Omaha oracle invested in them.

Each piece is different as with all other boxes of chocolates. But they are all velvety smooth and you can taste the premium-ness to it ( a higher level of chocolatiness). On the other hand, their hard candies are like jaw breakers.

You cannot bite it but just enjoy the flavor until the candy dissolves. I know they are pricey but I’m thankful I got hold of those lovely chocolate creations.

See's Candies Assorted Chocolates, 1/2 lb - SGD42.00

WILL: Abbey love to read biographies. Of course he won’t let himself to pass the life story of Warren Buffet. Then, he became curious on products of Berkshire Hathaway’s companies. One of those is See’s Candies.

I got intrigued too when I got to know about its price. It hit Abbey’s wishlist, so, on his 10th year celebration in Singapore, I ordered online and picked it up to Tangs VivoCity.

The taste? There is something different in it. Every bite is a feast in my mouth. Sometimes it is more of cocoa, some is more cream, but all of them has a smooth texture.

It costs thrice the amount of the ordinary chocolate but every sugar is worth it. Haha!
