Chinese New Year (2011)

Abbey:
Chinese New Year is much more celebrated than the January 1st event, except only for the countdown. Its because majority of people living here is of Chinese descent. This is 2-day celebration, wherein people will decorate their home with the sign of the animal that represents the new year. 2011 is the year of the rabbit and the people are expected to have more babies. Almost all the establishments or shops are closed during this holiday. One of the good things this festive season is that you can have a taste of their "tikoys" Happy New Year.

WILL: This is the longest holiday of Singapore, and different buildings, different ornaments were displayed. The gong xi gong xi song was played all over the city in many ways.
Sad not to see how they celebrate this event because we flew back in Philippines but one thing for sure. This is the great celebration.
