1st Red Bull Flugtag Singapore - 2012

ABBEY: It's German for "flying day". The event was held at Siloso beach, Sentosa last October 28. The program kicked off at 12 noon. The beach was full of sexy and hunk bods. It's also a day for family to bond. The mechanics of the contest is to have the farthest flight from the ramp. Judges scored the contestants based on how their "aircraft" performed. A 30-second dance routine were displayed by each team and then they will go for their launch. This was organized by Red Bull and their event in Singapore is the first in Southeast Asia.

WILL: Singapore Grand Prix 2012, Human Freefall from the Edge of Space and now Red Bull gave to Singapore the ever first Flugtag to be held in Southeast Asia.
Husband asked me to go to this event, with his friend. So wearing our most comfortable clothing and sunblock, sun welcomed us then kissed our skins and bathe with its rays while watching the machines and its pilots fly.
I voted for Kaplan City Fliers & Pok Pok K but none of them hit the three top spots. But that never made me depressed, the whole event we were there to watch their performances and all of them push their masterpieces out from the ledge. Really a fun activity for whole family. We are looking forward for the next Flugtag here in Singapore.
Thank ou Red Bull, we never had a chance to attend the after party but we really enjoyed this event.

Kkongdon Korea BBQ SG

ABBEY: JP Pepperdine has a lot of food chains and Kkongdon Korean is one of them. Wilma told me that she won a 20sgd voucher from JP Pepperdine Facebook contest and asked me if we can redeem it at Marina Square.

So we went there for dinner after office. The staff warmly greeted us and showed us our table. We were advised to try their meal for two at 19.80 per pax. A choice of 2 meats (chicken, beef, and pork), kimchi cake, egg soufflĂ©  and soup. It also includes buffet of kimchi and veggies.

WILL: Since Korean culture hits the Asia so hard, people goes berserk from fashion to food. No wonder why JP Pepperdine group brought Kkongdon Korea Bbq here in Singapore. As they want to be known to diners, they held a contest and a $20 vouchers were up, blessed, we are one of the lucky beneficiary of that contest. Ha!
Abbey and I just met at Esplande MRT station after office hour. Just 150 meters away, we walked to Marina Square branch, their lovely people approached us and immediately guide us on to our table.
We ordered their BBQ Special Dinner Set for $19.80++ per person. Griller was ready and I am so thankful that they have exhaust fan per table. We set the meats and spices to our griller and while waiting for it to be cooked, we munched up their unlimited Korean side dishes. I am not fond of DIY cooking, luckily my hubby was there to wave his magic on our foods. This package came with my favorite kimchi pancake and chadol.
Visit their Facebook Page for more information.

Kneipp Foot Bath Crystals

ABBEY: These are my feet's best buddy when they're tired and aching. Put warm water on a basin and mix in the crystals. Soak your feet and feel them revitalized. The product has a pleasant, relaxing aroma too. It's like you're having a foot spa at the comfort of your own home.  We got this one as prize on an online contest.

WILL: Salt was known for their antiseptic property so why not incorporate them at footbaths. This is one many products Kneipp gave Abbey when he won a $20 voucher.
This is a nice bottle to have. You don't need to go somewhere to soothe your swelling feet, in the comfort your own home, you can soak away all the pain that your feet feels.
The aroma of this salt filled our room and give an extra relaxing aura. Thanks Kneipp for this organic foot crystals. Visit the Guardian Paragon branch for more info on Kneipp products.

Spizza: Best Pizza Restaurant and Pizza Delivery in Singapore

ABBEY: It is very rewarding going to a birthday party. We went to 10th birthday bash of Spizza at Club St. They are offering their medium pizzas for 10sgd. (u.p.  starts at 15sgd). I tried their Xandra, a rich-aroma, crunchy thin crust pizza with beef, pineapple and capsicum toppings. Alongside are the condiments (chilli flakes, chilli oil, olive oil, parmesan, and salt and pepper). I also indulge in their Gnocchi. The pasta is dressed with an ample serving of thick cream sauce and cheese with cooked ham. A must-try for cheese-lovers.

WILL: Spizza's 10th Anniversary and for bringing it back all the support that made by its diners, they offered a one-day promotion of $10.00 for a medium size pizza on any choice. We went at their 29 Club Street branch to celebrate its birthday. :)
This is our first time to dine in their place, and I expected that the ambiance of their restaurant will be like more of fastfood chains that is in the mall but I am surprised to see the design and concept. Very romantic, ha! When walked-in, me and my husband immediately greeted their staffs a Happy Birthday and the gave back a smile to us.
Time to fill up our tummy, I ordered a a medium size Quinta (U.P $18.00), I am really curios about the taste of Black Truffle Paste. When our pizza came out from their oven, the aroma of dough hits me really hard, it made me drool. Unlike offered by many large commercialized pizzeria, this is extra-ordinary. The taste is awesome that I can't explicate and I don't want to share it also with my husband. Haha.. Gluttony kicked in.
After minutes of munching on my egg with black truffle paste slices, another explicit dish settled on our table. Sorry to our readers but this is my first time to eat a gnocchi. Well, we fell in love with this dumpling floating in a Gorgonzola cream with ha. Loveeeee itttttt. This costs us $17.00 and can be shared by two.
This restaurant is very recommendable. Thanks Spizza for the promotion, more anniversary to come. Call 63777773 for delivery.

Singapore Refuel Package - KFC Rice

ABBEY: Back in Philippines it is a "gravy" feast on a hot rice whenever we order a chicken meal at Kentucky Fried Chicken. So we were ecstatic knowing the KFC Singapore is starting to serve chicken with rice. They only have chicken with mashed potato when I got here.

The rice meals come in two sauce; spicy tomato and original recipe sauce. We went to their branch at Punggol Plaza. I gave a huge smile on the cashier upon receiving my two orders of rice delights. Sadly, Joy, oh the irony in her name, didn't return it back. Maybe she's just having a bad day. That didn't deter me to enjoy a box of chicken and rice with cucumber and gravy at 5.95 each. It tastes great. The crunchiness of the chicken with the flavorful gravy and hot rice complement well. It is so good that we even took out one more meal. KFC also offers rice on their 2-piece chicken meal. It's great KFC Rice started here.

WILL: KFC Philippines offers rice together with the chicken and gravy to match, when it started?, that information I do not know, but that combo just introduced here in Singapore last week.
Gil posted a picture in his facebook wall then Abbey scheduled a breakfast just near our place. I immediately conform the idea, why?, because having breakfast is a lot sweeter than having a dinner with your loved one. ;)
Entering the KFC branch at Punggol Plaza, we hurriedly ordered 2 sets with free green tea. Gosh, this is it. Eating out in KFC just like we were doing back home. It is so yummy we took one more set meal home. ;) Way to go KFC! Cheers!
