Fried Salmon Recipe

Slice of salmon
Lemon

Fry the salmon in a medium heat with little amount of oil. After cooking the fish, use the same pan with the salmon oil to make the dippings. Splash the lemon juice on the pan. Serve it hot!

ABBEY:
This is a very good meal. Wilma watched how to cook it in the net. After watching, we went to the market to buy the ingredients. The flavors were locked in the fish and in the sauce; sour, salty, and sweet. To make it spicy, put a pinch of ground pepper.

The wrapper is very crispy and the filling is well done. Perfect match with a ketchup dip. Maybe we can try to tighten the wrap next time.

Sisig Recipe

Soysauce
Calamansi
Garlic
Mayonnaise
Porkchop
Onions
Chilis

Mix the soysauce, chopped garlic and calamansi. Pour onto porkchop and marinate for 3 hours.
Fry the porkchop un a low heat pan. Slice on the cooked porkchop on the desired size then mix it with mayonnaise and minced onions and chilis.

ABBEY:
We really missed Nanay's version of sisig so we tried to copy it. We got it almost the same but next time we will use the original flavor of mayo not the sweet one. But all in all, this is great. It tastes best when its from the fridge and toss it in bowl full of newly cooked rice :)

Chicken Parmesan Recipe

Needed:
Chicken fillet
Egg
Paramesan cheese
Flour
Japanese bread crambs

Roll the chicken fillet onto flour. Dip it in egg. Grate the parmesan cheese and mix it with japanese bread crambs, add salt and pepper to taste. Cover the fillet with the mixture. Fry in a small amout of oil in a low heat. Serve hot.

ABBEY'S VERDICT:
A different kind of chicken. I tasted a variation from the usual fried chicken. Melted cheese covered the fillet and locked the flavor. Dipping it into tomato ketchup makes the meal complete. Thanks baby.

McDonald's Singapore

Abbey:
I'm glad they have McDo here in Singapore. They have their own differences but the good thing is they both serve my favorite crispy fries. Chicken meal here doesn't come with rice. Its only fries, drinks, and coleslaw or mashed potato. I also got their 1 for 1 promo on tender-grilled chicken sandwich for their "Make it better" campaign. I wish they come up with more promos :)

WILL: Of course, di ko papalampasin na makakain sa McDonald's Singapore, to see the difference. My fave is the Malaysian version. But now, of course Singapore is the best, why?, the taste, the big servings, salt and pepper on my fries, their monopoly, and the current promo is 1-1.

Naruto

ABBEY:
I was hooked into this anime when my team lead gave me copy of Naruto. My college barkada used to tell stories after they watch the anime in AXN. Now Naruto is a teenager, more determined to become a Hokage someday in his own ninja way. He defeated Gaara, other Akatsuki members, and also Pain. I'm not into the manga ones. I always wait for the anime; full colors, voice and animation. Kage-bushin ninjutsu or Oiroke no Jutsu (sexy jutsu)? Which one is better? :)

WILL:I really love animes and i do not know why. What i like with Naruto? How he values the friendship and how wacky he is to face any problem. Actually he is not that very strong unlike Eugene, his heart and love just prevail in his every fight.

Maltesers Ice Cream

ABBEY:
I'm looking for ham in Carrefour. I was strolling the freezers for that processed meat when I saw this confectionery, Maltesers ice cream. I thought since its chocolate treats are good then we must try this one also. Its a vanilla ice cream filled with dozens of small balls of Maltesers. A nice dessert after a nice dinner.

WILL: The chocolate is better than the ice cream version, why? This ice cream is way far from the sweetness of the choco version. Anyway, a nice alternative dessert.

Dunkin' Donuts Singapore

ABBEY:
I planned several times after my night shifts that I'll be bringing donuts to Wilma for breakfast. But all plans failed. One time she asked me to come by at her office after my morning shift. As I was walking to the MRT station, lo and behold, I got an idea to buy donuts and her officemates for snack. She was surprised to see me with a box of long-timed-crave-for donuts. Half dozen is less than 10sgd. The branches that I have visited is ION Orchard and Esplanade Exchange. I hope they will serve munchkins also :)

WILL: Dunkin' donuts. Ang kinalokohan kong donuts. We are so excited to see that they have stall in esplanade. Abbey will not spend an extra effort to go to ion orchard for box of this.
The taste? Same in philippines but the texture ia different.  Sa atin kasi parang puno lng ng hangin. Haha! Well what will you expect for a Php10 donut right? But still, i love this, a fulfillment to go back sa mga nakalakihan mong lasa.

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts - TriNoMa Branch (Philippines)

ABBEY:
This was introduced to me by my former company, when they gave a donut day perk :) The pantry had a dozen boxes of glazed donuts for all employees. The donuts is much appreciated with a black coffee. Trivia: this is where Wilma dated me for the first time :) thanks baby.

WILL: When we get home and went to Trinoma, we never let the store of Krispy Kreme be left behind without buying any donut from them. To satisfy our sweet tooth, after dining at Bigoli. We packed 4 cartons of donuts, some eaten in our home, other syempre baon :)

Lingering in on the sweetness and melting dough in our mouth with a coffee/tea. Nice dessert. Love it so much!

J Co. Donuts and Coffees - Batam City

ABBEY:
We finally got to taste the donuts of J.Co. Perfect partner is hot choco or coffee. We tried to their glazed and chocolate-flavored and filled donuts before we go back at SG. Price 17000 rupiah.

WILL: Searching on the net the donuts i must eat in just to fill up my cravings. I found this J Co., but never had the chance to try it here in Singapore. When we were in indonesia and saw it in their megamall, we gtab thr opportunity. Yeahba! Ha!
We ordered a hot choco an their chofilled donuts and the original glazed one. Mmmm, the taste, damn good!

Kraft - Jacobs

ABBEY:  These crackers are lifesavers :) When I'm tired or feeling hungry at my desk, I'll just open packets of these biscuits and eat them. Many variations, many choices. Thanks baby.

WILL: I am the one in charge for the biscuits ni Abbey. Konti lng ang choices dito unlike sa atin sandamukal so when I got to fairprice at tanjong pagar i bought these. And so glad Abbey is so happy to munch it all up. Masarap kasi :)

Dilmah Tea

ABBEY: I love the rich flavor of Moroccan mint. Its good Wilma bought a sample pack of it. This can help you relax by savoring the rich minty aroma. I like to drink it during breaks at the office.

WILL: I love to explore the world of tea. It uplifts and pacify my mind whenever i took a sip of this hot drink. Whenever i go to food fairs, i see to it i have a new tea to indulge in. I found this dilmah tea on food safari. I smelled every variand and tasted some, and i came up to buy this mint and cherry flavored tea. Nice lah!

Softenger Dinner and Dance 2011

ABBEY:
The dinner was great. All wants to participate in the activities. When we got there, I heard the emcee asking what title of the song the jockey was playing. Without hesitation I raised my hand. I was told to come up on stage and tell it. I replied it was "Unchained Melody" from the movie "Ghost". Then the surprised came, since I'm on stage and I knew the title, if I can sing few lines of it I'll be the second entry for the "Idol" category. I became nervous and don't know what to do. I already on the platform so better to give it a try. Myself didn't failed me. Haha. I heard applause after reaching the high note. Food was also great as well as the drinks. I also received a trolley as give away. It was a family event and I'm glad Wilma came with me.

WILL:
Abbey asked me to go with at singapore swimming club for their dinner and dance party. I am expecting a pool party then I am wrong. Haha. This is a good thing that Softenger arranged some affairs like this for their people. Very refreshing lalo na pag when you will see that everybody is on for the games, jokes and showing their talents.
We went home with a smile and a very full stomach. I love their rice and chicken curry. Oh, we went home with a voucher cause Abbey participated their "trivia" game.
Thankful Abbey asked me to go with him.

Ristorante Bigoli - Trinoma Branch

Abbey:I first ate here when Wilma dated me :) Second was a family dinner after watching a movie. Third, when we met our wedding godfathers. Fourth was with Joshua and Ate Beth.

The diner is located near cinema 7 of Trinoma. Their food is great. I tried pesto, pasta with red and white sauce, complimentary bread twist.

Price ranges from 150 up. I'm looking forward for their pasta challenge. I wish I participate and win the contest.

WILL: Who says Bigoli is not good enough para balik-balikan?

This is a nice alternative with affordable price. I do not know how many times I dined in here.

Why we love it this restaurant? The taste, ambiance and their approachable staffs are the reasons. They offer free flow drinks and eat all you can garlic bread.

I miss their pesto and cheese pizza. :(

Killiney Cafe

Abbey:
We had breakfast at Killiney once after my night shift. We ordered their famous kaya toast as well as their coffee. The meal is less than 10SGD for both of us. What I like the most is their coffee, its very creamy and rich aroma.  Its good to have a hearty breakfast with your love ones after your work. It made me had a good sleep when we got home.

WILL: Good morning Suntec City. We make it at a point that sometime we find time na sunduin after office. After his night shift, we decided to eat along at Killiney.
Their tea was with milk, but unlike other, this one blended nicely with the milk. Their waffle is quite thin and over toasted, but the syrup uplifted my day.

Centurion

ABBEY: Thanks to chat for the treat. I was about to cook dinner when Chat called me. She booked us for a movie night. Dinner was scrapped and next thing I did was to pick Wilma at her office. The movie is not the typical gladiator story. Its about a Roman fleet who was betrayed by their guide that instead of successful campaign it turned out that they will be ambushed. Fleeing from their enemies, they journeyed to various lands. As they seek for a Roman camp, they met other enemies to fight until the fleet was down to one. It turned out that even his homeland was about to end his life. He returned to his maiden and lived happily ever after.

WILL: TGIF and thank you Chat for asking us out. So we were booked to watch Centurion. What we expect? A gladiator look-a-like or a 300 movie full of battles. But the movie is not even inch close to what we imagined it will be. The story is about a lost roman soldier who just run for his life and found his love on a "witch". Story is simple. Not worthy.

GAP Aftershave

Abbey:
We purchased the aftershave on Nex Mall during the holidays. I'm not always using that, I'm used only with warm water :) So I decided to try it. After bathing, I shaved and put on the lotion. It smells good and manly. I felt I became more handsome and attractive. I got my confidence boosted. Wilma also told me that I smell good too :)

WILL: Sale for 50% off. So I bought 2 for Abbey. Extra pogi points for my baby! :)

Fruit Tree Juices

Abbey:
These juices keep me on top shape to fight cold and cough. They boost my immune system so I will not get sick. We've tried orange, wild berries, veggies with wheat grass, carrots, and apple with aloe. They taste natural and fresh. They live up to their tag line "Any fresher and you have to peel it yourself".

WILL:Ohhhhh, juice! I love drinking juices like this. When i saw there's chunks of aloe vera floating inside the 2L plastic packaging, i get more excited, Abbey on the other side is hesitant. Hehe. Now, the chunks became bits and it makes me sad.

Penne with White Sauce

Needed:
250g Butter
2 tbsp Flour
2 cups milk
250g Parmesan cheese
Penne Pasta

Cooked the pasta for 7 minutes add in some black pepper to taste(al dente).
For sauce, melt the butter then add the flour. Add the milk then parmesan cheese. Pour the sauce on the cooked penne pasta. Serve hot.

Abbey:
Wilma told me that she will be the one to cook for our dinner one Saturday. She planned to have pasta in white sauce. We bought all the needed ingredients for the recipe. At home, she became the queen of the kitchen as I'm busy surfing the net and watching TV. Dinner time has come and the pasta was served. It was very good, so creamy and cheesy. But beware of the black pepper hiding inside the penne :)

Just Go With It

AbbeyFrom the trailer, we wanted to watch this movie. Its nice Eng Wah Cinema in Suntec had a Pre-Reno movie night. They gave free tickets. The movie is so hilarious.Guy wants a girl, tell his assistant to play as his ex-wife then assistant falls in love and guys felt the same. And on the wedding day of guy and the girl, guys cancels it and go back to his assistant. You'll find the plot as ordinary, but the side scenes and jokes will make you laugh wild. Thanks to the cool chemistry of Jen, Adam, and Nick (the guy whose afraid of sunshine in The Benchwarmers). I was waiting for Rob Schneider to have a cameo, but it didn't come. Still, this movie made me burst into laughters.

WILL: I really thought that they were going-on divorce, until we saw this movie for free. Thanks Eng Wah cinema. Going on, he always wears a wedding band but never been married. Then he finally saw the woman he wanted but she was disappointed to see that he has a wedding ring in his pants.

And then that Jennifer Aniston played his wife and her to kids to be his.

The end of this tale? watch it!

Bag of Beans Tagaytay

Abbey:
This is our last stop after our EK getaway. We had our dinner at Leslie's then proceed to Bag of Beans to intake our share of caffeine since we will be travelling a long distance from South to North. Complementing the coldness of Tagaytay is the hotness of rich-flavored coffee served in a small cup. Perfect partner for their bread. Don't know the price as Denise put it on their tab.

WILL: Bag of beans. It was Denise's bday when i first set my feet here. The place is good for couples, very romantic. I always ordered their hot choco, why?, it reminds me of my lola's tsokolate de baterol. The long drive was just compensated. Thanks diana and john for driving us in here :)

Sakura Charcoal Grilled and Shabu Shabu

Abbey:
This is indeed the largest charcoal-grilled and shabu-shabu restaurant in SG. With so many choices to choose from, you never know what'll you eat first. Of course, I only tried pork and chicken. I got pork and chicken satay with a peanut sauce dip, pork belly, chicken yakitori, fishball, thin chicken slices for shabu-shabu. Their broth is great, we even managed to have a 2nd round. I got choco and coffee ice cream for dessert. For only less than 35sgd per person, you can cook and eat all you want with free flow of drinks; soda, juice, Milo or coffee. This is located at Marina Country Club, Pulau Ubin. Shuttle is provided opposite Compasspoint in Sengkang (Taxi bay at Blk 257C) or you can take a cab for less than 10sgd from the same place.

WILL: Sakura! We arrived at 5pm and left 8pm. Imagine how big our stomach when we got home. The great thing with this restaurant, they offer a griller and shabu-shabu in one, for only $22.50/pax for wat all u can and free flow drunks, this is not bad for a good date with my Fiance :)
I ate almost seafood and finally i munched over a grilled corn. I miss this so much. The eclair, i can eat all their eclair. And sorry Hannah, I also ate dory.

Jetstar

Abbey:
I booked on this airline when I went back to Philippines. Their free check-in baggage is 20kgs that's why I had a shopping spree of Philippine goodies to bring here at SG. Like other airlines, Jetstar also offers seat sale. This gives us another alternative way to get back and forth to SG and Phil.

WILL: This jetstar is quite similar rates to our cebupacific. It is another budget airline to look for. They sale up to 5$ from SIN-KUL. Unlike other budget planes, they have a cafe, they serve pre-cooked foods. Very unlucky of me, we never taste any of their foods, why?, because my eyelids dropped me into a deep slumber. The landing was so smooth, very good pilot eh.
